      Well, you know what? I have been saying for a week or so now, I would much rather see Astro Bot used for a free Fall Guys type of game. Or maybe making this current single player game free. Either way would be awesome! There's no way I'm paying 60 dollars for this game!

    • @dapperfan44
      @dapperfan44 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +26

      @Paulo-1999 Why the hell not? It's a full-fledged platformer. Nintendo fans paid $60 for Mario Odyssey, you can certainly pay $60 for this. It should absolutely NOT be free. Devs worked on this. It's likely going to be amazing. Hopefully no MTX. Stop being cheap and support these games.

      @dapperfan44 Seriously, I don't know how this attitude of "if this game doesn't look ultra realistic and have over 200 hours of content then it's not worth $60" came to be.
      I would absolutely pay $60 for a polished, high-budget 3D platformer.

    • @Paulo-1999

      @@dapperfan44 You stop being delusional. The hell you're talking about? If this was Uncharted 5 or TLOU 3 I would DEFINITELY pay 60 bucks. This is freaking Astro Bot! It's not Mario Odyssey. I'm not saying it's trash or disregarding anybody's work, but this is clearly not a triple A or super well done game. 10 bucks for this is a good price. And remember: this is MY opinion and I'm entitled to it.
      And btw, I like the traditional Mario WAY more than the "search the star" type Mario. Comparing this to Mario Odyssey is not a good thing.
      But you miss my point: people like it? Good for them. This is like their Uncharted or TLOU? Cool! I would much rather get a new game from Naughty Dog, Santa Monica Studios, Insomniac, Sucker Punch or Guerrilla. But people are entitled to a different taste.

    • @Paulo-1999
      @Paulo-1999 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@RyanStorey1231 It doesn't have to look ultra realistic. Your assumptions are wrong. It just has to be a good game and I was never sold on Astro Bot. It has ok ideas. Many are boring. I even had fun with the free one. And I love a well done platformer, 2D or 3D. Buck 60 bucks? Hell, no.
      Don't assume things about people you don't know. This is your Uncharted? Good for you! I never dissed anyone who likes Astro Bot. Learn to read what people are saying. I just said this is not for me, I don't think it's that good and I would pay 10 bucks tops. No one HAS to like Uncharted or TLOU just because I do. The same goes for Astro Bot. I don't have to like it just because others do.

      I really don't want the next 3D Mario to be an Odyssey sequel. That was the worst 3D Mario by leagues and fathoms imo. The worlds were claustrophobic and it felt like just a collectathon, compared to the other 3D Marios, which felt like something more. Galaxy had more unique and fun levels and powerups. 64 had more unique worlds, secrets, enemy variety, and so on. Odyssey is just a bunch of wall jumping and timed platforming courses only to be "rewarded" with another damned moon. At least 64's rewards weren't just another star, but were also intangible and various. Also, the levels in Odyssey felt so plain and uninspired imo. I sold that game after not being able to stand doing boring platforming trial number 19382920180 just for another damned moon. I did finish it before hand, of course. I remember thinking "That's it?" Then going out to collect more moons before deciding watching paint dry would be more entertaining. Such a disappointment. I won't be buying Odyssey 2.

    Sony seeing what Nintendo did, trying to do something different, then deriving new ideas from what they tried that were totally unique, and then going into newer and more niche markets... really is what made the PlayStation 1 blow up and the PlayStation 2 become even bigger. There were so many different kind of PlayStation Studios games that were smaller but felt massive because of how engrossing they were. Crash, Spyro, Twisted Metal, Gran Turismo, Sly, Jak & Daxter, God of War, Ratchet & Clank, SOCOM, Killzone, ETC ETC ETC... Sony needs to tap into that era. Having smaller games even at $70 that sell you that and don't try to be the most cutting edge things ever (but do still push technical limits)... that is what made PlayStation PLAYSTATION. Give us that era back Sony, and the positive vibes, lower budgets, lower development times, and better fan reception will come.

      @@frankvandermerwe1487 TLOUP MP is kind of a good thing that was destroyed.
      JIm lost his position mostly for his waste of 1.5 billion dollars on Bungie that seemed like a panic move after Microsoft was buying everything.
      If you are gonna throw such money to buy something then you better get some good IP's and the only thing Bungie has is Destiny, Halo was left with Microsoft.
      What is the point to paying so much for just a studio. You can create a new studio with far less money.
      The Star Citizen guys that create a big studio to make there super big game only got 600 million threw all this years.
      So Sony certainly didn't need to waste 1.5 billion for what was basically just a studio with no IP's.

    Sony probably sunk $100mil + into Concord. Shows just how woefully out of touch they are. Nobody wants that game.

      I feel like that’s the big problem with all the Live service games, when the popular game comes out, everyone tries to copy them, but game development takes so long that the game is out of date by the time it comes out. This is just the latest example of one.

    Honestly I think Sony needs to calm the heck down on censorship.
    But yeah Astro Bot is a cool game to throw out there. Not even a game I'm all that interested in, but a game that should exist.

    Concord looked fine, I personally won’t be playing it because I’m just busy with other things. But the game looked solid and people are being way too harsh on it.
