Ethiopia has faced temporary all rounded problems, including security. But we are on the gate-of-the-cave. Import substitution is on the way, huge development is on some institutions like Ethiopian airlines, tourist destinations are developing, the mining sector particularly gold is on the move, some industries like cement are booming, liberalization of the banking service, energy production, digitalization, urban development and infrastructure, etc are on the good start, even though a lot had to be done yet.
An excellent data driven discussion!:Thank you both! Keep it up AMAN! very exciting time for us Ethiopians if ony we stay focused on working smartly! We are lucky to have our current leadership in place 🙌 💚💛🧡
Here's a revised and clearer version of your text: "I listened to Zemdeneh's interview and was surprised that, as a well-educated economist, he used total GDP growth as an indicator of economic development. It’s well known that during the period he references, Ethiopia’s debt increased significantly. This growth in debt end up increasing the GDP, regardless of whether the funds are directed toward growth-generating activities or spent on war. Additionally, if the government prints money and spends it, this can inflate GDP artificially while also driving inflation. Therefore, total GDP is not the most reliable measure of development. A better indicator would be the Human Development Index (HDI), which provides a more comprehensive view of growth."
Template from IMF & WORLD BANK is always enriching WEST themselves!!!! I have never witnessed with IMF template a country has developed significantly!!! But the country will be shackled financially beyond in the future!!!!
