    I like Ricky.He’s a really genuine dude,as enthusiastic about a tool that costs a few hundred bucks as an item that costs thousands…. Love how he explains things too 😀

    You've made several very useful videos about the Play and several months after the update to version 1.1 nobody has, from what I can find, demonstrated the export process.
    Here, you show the export window but it's pretty quick. There's more than one category of export. I assume you're exporting to the SD card but maybe there's a way to export over USB?
    I like to here about your process but you lost me very early on in the export. Did it get edited out? Am I the only one interested in the how?

      My weakness is arrangement view, so i been sticking to it, when i open ableton, and absolutely try to minimize track count.

    I *don't* get bored of watching people produce tracks. In fact I'm amazed by it.

    i generally don't like the genre of music you make but damn it is so fun watching you create. you don't bs your audience. you just set out to make music you enjoy and share that enjoyment with us. thanks for your videos as always.

    Ricky "I'm not going to make a full track live because that's too much pressure"
    Also Ricky - On fire the entire time.
    😆
    The Zen Delay would be awesome on the piano lick every once in a while when it drops out. (Or if you still have the Microcosm)

    Ricky I love the ownership you are showing to the beats you make. Even if you say you dont want to do a full track, this is an amazing idea to carry on working on the same beat from previous video. It is more enjoyable to watch too.

    I like the camera work you use in this video, unfortunately, when you cut to the Ableton screen the frequency distortion makes it painful to look at and impossible to read details on. I think finding a way to grab that video directly from the monitor would be a much better application, if there's an easy way to do it.
    Otherwise, I was really looking forward to seeing this process laid out, and I have got to get me that dark theme for Ableton. Thanks Ricky!

    • @antonellorosato5594
      @antonellorosato5594 ปีที่แล้ว

      hey, I noticed it too, but I do not think it is the frequency distortion.
      I think that the camera somewhat captures the monitor reflecting the main big rattan ikea lamp in the studio, which has that cross pattern that looks like an interference!

    When you exported the project into Ableton, did it export the stems with the compression applied? Sounds like it did, but just curious how that works. Similarly, if you're using the Digitakt's compressor and exporting audio to Ableton with Overbridge, would those tracks be "exported" pre or post compressor?

  • @namagenshu
    @namagenshu ปีที่แล้ว +1

    i like using the Play 1 / Skip 3 and things like that to add variation when i'm doing stuff on the Play. i've not exported anything from my Play yet, so curious if you know how that gets handled when you export stems?

    Hey Ricky! Your videos always hold very high production quality due to a well lit setting, and as usual it’s great and valuable content. 🙏 But please, please don’t film your monitor. It looks like crap. Why not screen record on the computer instead?

    • @antonellorosato5594
      @antonellorosato5594 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the monitor is reflecting a lamp that has that pattern, there is no actual interference

  • @the_bluescreen
    @the_bluescreen ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The polyend team must find a way to record all tracks on Ableton with maybe a plugin like Elektron has or audio tracks output via usb connection. Currently, it is really working like, “okay, we did something but deal with it”
