I sat there!! Hehe so relaxing
Fascinating history lesson, the old adage of "less is more" works beautifully in the Ryoan-ji Temple.
This garden is amazing! I visited 5 years ago, and it was such a surreal experience because I had seen it before in so many different books about Japanese gardens, and suddenly, there I was in the garden! Please do more videos like this; I would like to learn more about my favorite gardens in Kyoto, like Enkoji, Honenin and Tofukuji!
Such a magnificent garden ❤, thank you for sharing 👌😍.
The production quality on your videos keeps getting better and better! Thank you for discussing the mystery behind Ryoan-ji Temple.
yes! bring back the narrated episodes
wow! thank you! waiting for more such videos. this garden is indeed one of my dreamed places to visit.
Thank you for creating such wonderful content. Would love to visit the garden one day.
Fascinating story thanks for sharing 🥰🇦🇺
Fascinating story. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! Very interesting !🌱🌿
How interesting. 😊 God bless
I feel like the painting gave us a hint. The trees beyond the wall were very much a part of why it was such a dramatic view. The current trees in sight don't seem as connected with the garden. It's a stunning place nonetheless. But I wish we could see it as it was in that painting.
Great video! I love a good mystery
Thank you for introducing this fascinating garden. You are a wonderful storyteller and filmmaker. I enjoy learning from you.
Thanx for sharing this great video ! bonsai regards from Poland ;-)
The forced perspective of the ground and walks of the garden, I would not have noticed.
merci bravo
Glorious!🌷🌷
Fascinating. I hope to see this garden in person in November & will ponder the perspective this video explores. In Western gardens, I think the atmosphere & experience is always more important than meaning & facts. I suspect that is a good way to approach Japanese gardens as well.
Great editing!
What is that beautiful music to accompany the beautiful garden?
Thank you for the videos! I really enjoy them.
Takk!
Absolutely beautiful garden. I loved the whole video.
Just looked it up, and on our first trip to Japan we were also in this rock garden. But I have to admit that the memory of it was not very strong. But we also visited many other sights.
ありがとうございます!
How is Mr. Inada's large garden renovation project going?
Thanks, very interesting video.
Nice.
Thank you for talking instead of writing captions at the bottom of the screen. That way we can listen instead of reading while watching the video!
Wondering if all speculation regarding the origin of this garden, why/how -a western trend- is really necessary to appreciate the aesthetics of it.
👍👍👍🎉🎉🎉
love it!
👍🙏
😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nicely don👍
👍
I was there in the summer of 1999...
Was expecting so much more about the gravel (not sand please). The Shirakawa rocks that are very difficult to find in bulk.

Great documentary. Japan as the rest of the world have sects. And of course some stuff are left to speculation. Perchaps are not the misteries of the garden that gain so much fame perhaps is all another reason/s into a whole different level. Left only for those with the right knowledge. That being said, you made a great video anyway and thank you.

I think the garden design is about harnessing 'chaos'.
