If there was one country that Popes of the past could count on to stick by the Catholic faith - it was the Republic of Ireland.
    Today, not so much.
When Pope Francis arrives in Ireland there will be every kind of reaction - yes, there'll be enthusiastic crowds, but also some alternative events and vigils, and perhaps even shrugs of indifference.
So just how far has Ireland drifted from its Catholic past?

No, Ireland is not over Catholicism. The media is still obsessed with it. We have many journalists who never do anything but complain about the Church.

No, the media is reflecting people's disgust at this bullying institution that used shame as a tool of control. Yes, the Catholic church is over in Ireland, go to any Church this Sunday, nobody cares. Also, why are you so quick to defend this money grubbing sect when they were quite happy to let children suffer horrendous and repeated abuse never defending them? They deserve our contempt.

I think given the dismal turnout in the park that Catholicism is dead in Ireland. Not that anyone needs reminding since most people in Ireland only set foot in a church for baptisms, deaths and marriages. Even then they do that because its Irish culture. That turnout is down a whopping 95% since 1979, and don't blame bloody mobility scooters and rain for hells sake I doubt theres more than 20k mobility scooters in the entire country.
Now the reason the media complain is really simple. An organisation which the people support so little that it has just been the victim of a trolling campaign over tickets and coundn't get a half decent turnout had its ass handed to it. That same organisation controls the Irish education system and hospitals. We'll now be taking those back... which means no more health and education budget for the church. As soon as they hear that they will up stick and move, cos they only care about the money. They make money from your delusion...
Time has come now to relinquish the last vestiges of power from these insidious men in frocks, get rid of them, or jail the lot of them, and move on.

I'm neither pro life or pro choice. But you need to consider WHY people do this. What if a woman was raped? She undergoes so much trauma from it, and is now forced to raise this child. Some of these women are underage, so older than 14. They won't be prepared, and the child will most likely have a miserable life.

Many Irish Protestant and Presbyterian nationalists contributed to the Easter Rising. Just look in to archives and libraries. the majority of Protestants were unionist, a significant minority, often young and rebelling against their own parents, were attracted by the revolutionary excitement of radical nationalism and their participation welcomed.

A lot of hearts have being broken, lives destroyed, people unable to trust again. People will never again have blind faith in anything, sadly this journey is not complete, there is still many hidden secrets that need to see the light of day. It's only when all these dark secrets a fully faced up to, can the nation move on........stronger and wiser and yes with a heart that carries many scars.

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CATHOLIC CHURCH EXCOMMUNICATING
DELIBERATE AND UNREPENTANT SINNERS MENTIONED IN SCRIPTURE?
Lamenting thousands of years of neglect and truly mourning a condition that are two differ cannot fix itself or be changed are two different things. The person that is mourning is praying for our Creator’s intervention
Which is the only solution to this for ailing world. He truly wants something and so he is earnestly praying: “Or Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. (Matt 6:9, 10)
Recall that it only in recent years that Catholics have allowed to read the Scriptures themselves? Since just “ A little leaven ferments the whole lump”
To the a congregation in ancient Corinth a man name Paul wrote: “Remove the wicked man (Including a religious leader) from among yourselves.” (1 Cor. 5:13)
Shouldn’t the laity and clergy and members practicing such behaviors have excommunicated years such ungodly church leaders ago even though it has long been considered the unpopular thing to do.
Those committing such things as Homosexuality Fornication, Adultery, and Child Abuse, Abortion as well as going to War kill to their brothers and sisters and other nations because they pleasure allegiance to many nations that live by the sword.
All such individuals in most cases proved to be unrepentant practicers of sins that have included secret sins.
For centuries false religions and human Judges have winked at the lie and people have condoned it may be painfully slow or even negligent in executing sentence against bad works.
Regrettably during that time of their lack of insight many have been duped by false religion and it’s dressed up lie.
A wise man once wrote: “Because sentence against a bad work has not been executed speedily, that is why the heart of the sons of men has become fully set in them to do bad” (Eccl 8:11)
Because of not being punished for their lawlessness, the wicked think that they are getting away with something and therefore become firmly established in their bad ways.
In this imperfect world many things are seen that could be very disturbing to us. Although a sinner may be doing bad a hundred times and continuing a long time as he pleases, yet I am also aware that it will turn out well with those fearing the true God, because they were in fear of him. But it will not turn out well at all with the wicked one, neither will he prolong his days that are like a shadow, because
In conclusion the laity and clergy and members practicing such behaviors have excommunicated years ago even though it has long considered the unpopular thing to do. It is for this reason that ‘the house that Christendom has built will soon be abandon them’ just as that of ancient Jerusalem.

Turns out about 130k Catholics turned up to see Frankie, average age was over 50. That must have been a rather somber trip back to Rome for Frankie! Whats the bets he was crying into his chalice all the way home? With those numbers and given their record in Ireland they should be classified as a cult.
The apologists even tried to claim the rain, and nobody allowed to attend on a mobility scooter was the cause of the dismal attendence! Like they actually claimed they rely on the mobility scooter generation! The rain didn't put off the thousands protesting though did it? the turnout was about 2.7% of the population, in a country where the Phoenix Park is no more than 50 miles from most of the population. Thats a decrease in 35 years of roughly 95% in terms of attendance. I think we can now safely conclude the catholic reign of terror is over!
Then they insisted that the media were obsessed with the number that turned out. Well fucking hell yeah they are obsessed, its a relevant piece of information given this bunch of deluded money grabbers currently run the Irish education system.... they used to claim that this was because the entire country was catholic....well whats their excuse now?
As it turns out there are now more fucking Jedi's in Ireland than catholics attended this mass. I'd be pretty sure the children of Ireland would much rather be educated by the Jedi than the Jesuits! That way they would get a light sabre rather than a priests sausage!
So that's goodbye to the catholic church in Ireland. Goodbye nonsense vending, human trafficking, immoral, mob of pedo's and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!

The government's official McAleese report found that the lurid history contained in a film like the Magdalaen Sisters was not reality. They were not pleasant places, but they were often places for women who had nowhere else to go, and the nuns who ran them did their best in difficult circumstances.

What on earth are you talking about? Thats utter nonsense. Those nun run laundries were basically prisons where women were incarcerated without charge, without any court, and for no crime. They were even referred to as inmates and offenders. Their crimes of being pregnant seen as immoral. Even today in 2018 the church have the same idea that somehow procreation should be controlled by them and anyone not obeying their rules is immoral. They created the culture, then they set it up so that they had a steady flow of babies for sale, and it wasn't just the 20th century, they are still at it right now worldwide.... its pretty likely they have been doing it since inception.
This crazy idea that they didn't know any better, or they were operating under extreme pressure is lunacy at best. But good luck convincing yourself of that. The rest of us will see these scams to breed and sell babies at a profit for what they are.
This is like listening to the idea that money given to the church goes to 'helping poor black babies in Africa' ... remember that bullshit? Well no all that happened there is the church moved into Africa alright, but not to help, instead to fleece those people out of what little money they had too. The church feeds off the poor, thats where its wealth originates.
This is a crazy and completely transparent attempt to frame a crime against humanity as if it was some sort of desperate attempt to help matters. No is was not! It was a contrived and organised plan to make money using humans as the raw materials,

Exactly! Here's what's troubling to me: the Irish can smell the very stink of the secular world. Yet they seem to be saying, "We want to slide into the sewer, too."

The worst child abuse possible is that which was committed and covered up by the church.

Pat Aherne I’m an atheist, but sometimes I hope I’m wrong, and these evil priests are suffering in unimaginable ways.

Pat Aherne sadly I don’t think He will. There are no Gods, so we must thrive for justice on earth.
