I agree this episode comes off pretty outa left field... even tho there are little hints with jeff and annie (debate kiss) and jeff and britta (paintball sex), but jumping to LOVE is pretty intense. That being said... trust in the process my friends. This show is very self aware.
It was quite the ending. After all these years, I still love watching this episode. I am #teambritta :) I'm really looking forward to your reaction to the next episode.
I'll say it again, you guys shouldn't question the logic of the show, it's supposed to be a little ridiculous and completely unlike a real community college Except for the Jeff/Annie stuff, you can question that 😅
Haha. Yeah, we hear ya. We’re currently well into season 2 on our Patreon (and have fully leaned into the ridiculousness lol), so it’s very possible that this upload was already recorded at the time you mentioned this previously. Thank you for continuing to watch with us! :)
Yeah, personally, my biggest criticism of the show would be the Jeff and Annie stuff. Always felt like some creepy projection/using his art for personal wish fulfillment thing on Dan Harmon's part, to me (since he models a lot of these characters after himself-- Jeff is based on his attitude going into community college). Harmon tends to date 10-15 years below his age as well, I believe (although I guess that's pretty common in showbusiness).
The Annie/Jeff stuff in this show bothers me. I think I read some interview that they thought the actors had great chemistry and so wrote it in. But with the age gap they had already established, it comes across more icky than charming.
One of my least fave episodes since it's so obviously complying with network tv standards... But... without spoilers... they snap out of it pretty soon...
I noticed Jeff described Slater and Britta the opposite way in the drunk dial episode. In that episode, it was Slater who didn't challenge him.
"I just won a contest for being hot". That line delivery gets me everytime.
Guess the Dalmatians awakened something in the dean.
😂😂

I think Jeff got faculty parking for doing the debate team episode

I think they were surprised when it got renewed, every year.
I Love You Phil and Erika🎉🎉
There were hints about the Jeff/Annie attraction toward one another all along if you go back and look for them.
Yeah that's fair. I think the reaction was more to the "love" -- that part seemed like a stretch haha

Is he tall or is she short? Both, but more so him! Joel McHale is 6'4 and Alison Brie is 5'4.
