Honestly I don't mean to rain in anybody's parade (haha get it) but the one at 0:35 makes him look more uncomfortable than anything to me. Like he just didn't expect the wink so he wasn't sure how to react lol
Jeff: Okay, Black Rider, now let’s see who’s attractive. Troy: Dude, you have a problem. That retort alone shows the excellence of writing in this show. Also, it’s funny as hell 😂
Jeff: straight but appreciates the male form Britta straight but wants to be gay so bad Annie: just wants to be loved Shirley: straight ™ Troy: Straight but gay for Abed Abed: Just wants to talk about TV Pierce: extreme straight to the point it's a little gay
I KNOW there's a scene somewhere in this show of Jeff trying and failing to sit in a chair. Not the one in the basement where they all fall, but I think that would be the cherry on top of this whole comp.
My idea of the group. Also when I say males and females I'm including other gender identities in the mix too: Jeff: bi but with a 70/30 split towards woman (meaning he tends to lean towards woman) Britta: straight but wants to be gay Troy and Abed: in the words of Chang 'Hah, Gay' Annie: repressed bi or bi-curious. She started to come out during her time at Greendale. She does lean more towards males than females Shirley: straight and doesn't quite 'understand' it but she tries to be the supportive mom they all need Peirce: a little bi-curious, never actually explored it Frankie: she never actually said her sexuality in the show, but she hinted at being gay or bisexual. I'm gonna say she's bi with a strong lean towards women. Like a 90/10 lean Elroy: straight as the day is long
You know something embarrassing? Despite being an adult, I think the first 10 times or so I’ve seen that scene, I didn’t realize what the Dean’s “reaction” was supposed to be
I almost wanna headcanon him as gay bc his relationships with women in the show often are shallow/don’t go anywhere, and trying to be straight would fit in with his need for approval…
I don't think he's bi at all. I think that, for once in a sitcom, the writers had the nerve, no, the balls to finally describe a heterosexual guy who's comfortable in his sexuality he doesn't care about being comfortable with other men and doing things that are considered "girl" like.
yeah I always read him as happily "metrosexual" like he just loves caring for himself physically and he doesn't actually go after a single guy but I don't mind the bi read either 😂
Exactly how I've always seen him too, I can personally relate to the majority of these scenes as a straight guy that probably should be less concerned about my appearance lol
He definitely reminds me of a lot of my straight guy friends. Likes to take of himself, doesn't care if someone calls him gay for doing that, flirts with rhe boys jokingly. Lol
Jeff's bisexual, Annie's a lesbian, Britta is either bi or a lesbian, Troy's bisexual for sure, and so is Abed. Shirley's bi and that's why she belives everyone has the choice to be gay or straight (in her head she choose to be straight). Pierce is bi and believes everyone had a gay phase when they were younger but no, he just likes guys.
May I present my headcanon? Jeff: Bisexual with a preference to women Abed: Pansexual (I genuinely don't think gender matters to him) Troy: Gay (Though too naive to realise it) Britta: Possibly Bi or sapphic. I do believe she was into Troy but man does she have the biggest lesbian vibes in the show! Annie: Romantic asexual. She seems very disinterested in sex but everyone knows she's into Jeff. Shirley: Straight. This is the easiest to guess as she is a devout Christian and a comfortable wife. She has also never shown curiosity or interest in women and is homophobic. Pierce: Hard to tell given his upbringing but he's likely in the closet. Sadly, we'll never know. Chang: Confirmed gay. Craig: Confirmed political Frankie: Confirmed lesbian
wait would annie's asexuality headcanon be able to explain her drooling over jeff's top body in the locker scene? /genuinely dont know anything about asexuality so my bad.
I think Jeffrey is more of a pansexual kind of guy myself. Also the amount of code switching this man does is true bi/pan realness. But tbf I think he just likes ladies more because he likes to be prettier than them if we're being real. I wish most of you could be able to have as much fun as this show does. Some of yall need that. 🤧
I'm sorry but the "you have more chemistry than me and pierce" and then pierce saying "how dare you!" had me dead and that wasn't even the first minute of the vid lmao
Jeff and Joel are pretty much just alternate universe versions of each other, so this is very accurate, especially in this scene it just feels like Joel could be talking haha
There’s a differentiation between being confidently metrosexual and actual bisexuality, and while it’s interesting to read into it, I think most of these clips show that the writers meant Jeff to be an example of a cis-straight ally.
You guys do know that he is THE DEFINITION of a metrosexual, right? This isn't a thing people talk about today, but when the show was airing it was a really overused term that had NOTHING to do with bisexuality
Nah metrosexual = closeted LGBT plus straight men who use moisturizer, it's a gossip magazine bullshit word that definitely included bi men the whole time even if nobody was allowed to acknowledge it

after watching this I honestly can’t believe how I thought Jeff was straight… Maybe I thought his dancing w/ the Dean and stuff was just to get what he wanted so he went along with it? And that the Dean liking him was completely one sided? I mean it probably was at some point but then wasn’t… and I thought his acting like the Dean in the commercial was simply something that happened the way it did because of the absurd length of the commercial shoot, but he obviously acts as the Dean super well sooo yeah. the Hawthorne gay party should have made it kind of obvious, right?? And the thing where him and the Dean agree on which of two 70’s guys are attractive? Did I think that was just only a funny line and forgot about it?? And him caring a lot about his looks and body, which cishet guys don’t to as much as they should? And even when he looks at the dean in his big dress at 4:41 I thought he was just amused but he was TOTALLY checking him out like wtf me?? EDIT: 6:58 “GAY BARS” UMMMMM Anyway this video made me see Jeff in a completely new way, I totally recognize that he is certainly bisexual. Congratulations but i feel like that scene in it's always sunny when Dennis pretends to be gay because he likes the compliments i think Jeff is vain super vain but yeah whatever works i see a super vain heterosexual narcissist literally what gay dudes and bi's would be attracted to hahaha i think that's why dean's so into him it's the joke lol
It is literally canon that the Dean's feelings for Jeff are unrequited, and Jeff uses it to manipulate him. It's also canon that the whole goddamn show is based on Jeff's long-winded attempt to sleep with Britta. 60% of this video is just other character's lines, and the rest is just Jeff being insecure. He's a narcissist and obsessed with self-image, so naturally other attractive men threaten his ego, it's not being attracted to them, and suggesting that it is, at least in my opinion, cheapens the character and undermines the genuine observations made about guys like Jeff (it doesn't have anything to do with being gay)

Straight people can fall victim to societal pressure to be sexually successful too.
It sometimes feels like LGBT kids who spend their whole lives online can't even imagine a straight person being anything other than an unshaven Republican linebacker.
@@Holygiant ok? It's a lightheaded theory, the 2nd half of the comment wasn't needed :/ bc I never implied str8 ppl are only republicans or wtf you said
@@nightcrawler8864 idk, i think his response mimiced the stupidity of your own main comment...
tons of other people are chipping in with headcanons, so here are mine:
jeff: bisexual
britta: lesbian or bisexual
annie: lesbian
troy: 100% gay
abed: the most bisexual ever
shirley: straight
pierce: is dead
chang: gay (canon)
dean pelton: unlabeled/queer (canon)
frankie: lesbian (technically canon)
Dean Pelton is listed as a Pansexual on the wiki; although I think he fits all
It’s canon that chang is gay ??? (Sorry been a while since i watched The serie)
@@ci0udz140 yeah he says he is gay in the last episode lol
@@arrabella6106 thanks!
@@arrabella6106 Chang says a lot of stuff, he also said that he was born with a tail. Also if he is gay why did he do the devils tango with Shirley?
Jeff looking down when The Dean comes in in the dress at 4:46 is something I've never noticed before, but there was nothing straight about how long he was looking
Yes there was. He was just curiously looking at the Dean's outift.
@frankiedonegan6150 bro stop replying to comments and get a job lmao
7:31 whatever that little interaction Jeff and the dean had, that's really all the proof we need.
...that was nothing, he and the dean were mutually realizing that frankie wasn't straight
y'all are so obsessed with men that you don't even think about female gay/bi characters do you
@@shuggie2930 man you totally missed the point didn't you? The interaction wasn't flirtatious, but I felt it came off as them going "oh shit you too!?" It was a moment of solidarity.
@@Hypersaiyanike it definitely didn't come off as that at all.
@@Hypersaiyanike like, why would jeff choose to out himself as bi at that moment?? he mouths "maybe?" and it just seems like they're both noticing frankie is gay.
@@Hypersaiyanikethat’s not what they were doing at all though they were wondering what Frankie is
The kiss from a rose scene still holds up to be one of my favorites of any comedy ever
Edit: same with Jeff dressed as the Dean
The way Troy told Jeff he has a problem always makes me cry laughing
I miss this show
ok that’s why i relate to winger so much
Also Abed's "You could be if you wanted to" is kinda sweet
Dean and Jeff saying Donald Sutherland then Jeff looking mortified immediately after killed me
0:35 and 4:45 are really the only real evidence, but those looks convinced me that the writers and Joel were at least playing with the idea of Jeff being bi.
Lmaoo him comfortably checking out the Dean's lingerie even when it's so close to his face 😂
Honestly I don't mean to rain in anybody's parade (haha get it) but the one at 0:35 makes him look more uncomfortable than anything to me. Like he just didn't expect the wink so he wasn't sure how to react lol
@@GeeGe. he has also expressed discomfort through facial expressions at dean's contant touching and romantic moves
Obsessed with how the “kiss from a rose” scene is in here more than once. Sent me every time it popped up
7:02 is genuinely one of my favorite moments in the series and i think about it often
I love "token" in the title like the whole damn group isn't bi
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I WAS TO SEE THIS
Jeff as the Dean was possibly my favourite Jeff moment.
I hope this doesn't awaken anything in me
This. This was the comment I've been looking for. You win lol
"Lights, camera, DEAN!" is one of my favorite lines in the show.
HIS WHOLE SPEECH TO RICHHH C'MON
RICH IS NOTHING. JEFF IS INSECURE. THAT IS ALL.

I think it was a parody of How I met your mother

Jeff: Okay, Black Rider, now let’s see who’s attractive.
Troy: Dude, you have a problem.
That retort alone shows the excellence of writing in this show. Also, it’s funny as hell 😂
I COMPARE YOU TO A KISS FROM THE ROSE ON THE GREG!
craig
im still mad that jeff and the dean didnt end up married for tax reasons
Jeff: straight but appreciates the male form
Britta straight but wants to be gay so bad
Annie: just wants to be loved
Shirley: straight ™
Troy: Straight but gay for Abed
Abed: Just wants to talk about TV
Pierce: extreme straight to the point it's a little gay
This is the best description I’ve seen and so accurate. Haha
Exacto
"straight but wants to be gay" "straight but gay for abed" so they're just gay
@@lilenwasnothere6867 no because "wants to be" doesn't mean "is" and Troy is Abedromantic and exclusively goes after women (Randy, Annie, Britta)
@@maybemaye_ abedromantic? wdym?? a sexual/romantic orentation cant be "abedromantic" bc abed isnt a gender
I KNOW there's a scene somewhere in this show of Jeff trying and failing to sit in a chair. Not the one in the basement where they all fall, but I think that would be the cherry on top of this whole comp.
My idea of the group. Also when I say males and females I'm including other gender identities in the mix too:
Jeff: bi but with a 70/30 split towards woman (meaning he tends to lean towards woman)
Britta: straight but wants to be gay
Troy and Abed: in the words of Chang 'Hah, Gay'
Annie: repressed bi or bi-curious. She started to come out during her time at Greendale. She does lean more towards males than females
Shirley: straight and doesn't quite 'understand' it but she tries to be the supportive mom they all need
Peirce: a little bi-curious, never actually explored it
Frankie: she never actually said her sexuality in the show, but she hinted at being gay or bisexual. I'm gonna say she's bi with a strong lean towards women. Like a 90/10 lean
Elroy: straight as the day is long
this is nice and all, but in what world is shirley supportive of gay people? she’s just as homophobic as pierce if not more
This is the most accurate assessment of Britta, Annie, and Frankie
Damn this is a scientific breakdown, bravo.
Incorrect. Britta just wants to have a lesbian friend. To be cool
I haven’t watched this show before, but Jeff is clearly the chaotic bisexual I aspire to be
i hope you've watched the show by now
Woah I would love to see this video without the context of the show
Watch the show
Except for not being that you're spot on
Idk how I never noticed his bisexuality. That honestly makes so many jokes make sense and the other half even funnier
"You're not gay, you're just really, really vain."
😂 best crossover!
7:03 one of the best Deen scenes in the show. Every time I watch it it makes me laugh
You know something embarrassing? Despite being an adult, I think the first 10 times or so I’ve seen that scene, I didn’t realize what the Dean’s “reaction” was supposed to be
@@ChestersonJack Honestly that’s me with most “dirty” jokes or references lol
I almost wanna headcanon him as gay bc his relationships with women in the show often are shallow/don’t go anywhere, and trying to be straight would fit in with his need for approval…
He is literally the straightest man ever only uses women for sex .
@@rulerofkripsy9143 exactly, no emotional connection to women, just him fulfilling his needs while in the closet
@@trashcanman9357 what?
why are they booing you you’re right
ooo yeah i headcanon him as bisexual & aromantic but i could totally see that!!
@@maybemaye_ yep, and being "metrosexual" was something that was HUGE at the time of the show, he is the perfect definition of that term at the time
Exactly how I've always seen him too, I can personally relate to the majority of these scenes as a straight guy that probably should be less concerned about my appearance lol
Looking at you Ross
He definitely reminds me of a lot of my straight guy friends. Likes to take of himself, doesn't care if someone calls him gay for doing that, flirts with rhe boys jokingly. Lol
He threw a pretty gay party with a bisexual color pallet and balloons
"But after that... maybe... Like a blazer?"
The face that woman made *LMFAO*
Jeff's bisexual, Annie's a lesbian, Britta is either bi or a lesbian, Troy's bisexual for sure, and so is Abed. Shirley's bi and that's why she belives everyone has the choice to be gay or straight (in her head she choose to be straight). Pierce is bi and believes everyone had a gay phase when they were younger but no, he just likes guys.
I really doubt Shirley being anything other than straight, all the others are good tho
That must've been a nice show you watched, I wonder where I can this version of Community
Oh god
@@adrianoa.j.5788 just headcanon since it's my favorite show and it's kinda sad the only gay person in there is Dean
@@thepinebros.1873 yea probably

THAT RICH SCENE OMG YES
May I present my headcanon?
Jeff: Bisexual with a preference to women
Abed: Pansexual (I genuinely don't think gender matters to him)
Troy: Gay (Though too naive to realise it)
Britta: Possibly Bi or sapphic.
Craig: Confirmed political
Frankie: Confirmed lesbian
so right except annie is a lesbian
wait would annie's asexuality headcanon be able to explain her drooling over jeff's top body in the locker scene? /genuinely dont know anything about asexuality so my bad.
I just noticed Jeff never has to look at the lyrics to Kiss From A Rose
he's also auto-sexual, as demonstrated in the first clip
I think Jeffrey is more of a pansexual kind of guy myself. Also the amount of code switching this man does is true bi/pan realness. But tbf I think he just likes ladies more because he likes to be prettier than them if we're being real.
I wish most of you could be able to have as much fun as this show does. Some of yall need that. 🤧
I'm sorry but the "you have more chemistry than me and pierce" and then pierce saying "how dare you!" had me dead and that wasn't even the first minute of the vid lmao
4:53 feels like something Joel believes deep down.
Jeff and Joel are pretty much just alternate universe versions of each other, so this is very accurate, especially in this scene it just feels like Joel could be talking haha
4:50 the way abed says “really??” Kills me
There’s a differentiation between being confidently metrosexual and actual bisexuality, and while it’s interesting to read into it, I think most of these clips show that the writers meant Jeff to be an example of a cis-straight ally.
Damn I must be the only one who thinks that he's just straight but comfortable enough with gayness to not care.
You guys do know that he is THE DEFINITION of a metrosexual, right?
This isn't a thing people talk about today, but when the show was airing it was a really overused term that had NOTHING to do with bisexuality
Nah metrosexual = closeted LGBT plus straight men who use moisturizer, it's a gossip magazine bullshit word that definitely included bi men the whole time even if nobody was allowed to acknowledge it
@@cfor8129 It included bi men, but it 100% wasn't designed for them
Yes, it was a buzzword, but it basically meant "men that actually take care of themselves and take pride on it"
what is metrosexual
@@grroleanderr basically men that take pride on their appearance and take a huge care of their bodies and looks in general
Which fits Jeff perfectly
Metrosexual was just a way of saying a straight dude who takes care of himself.
love it when a whole bunch of people notices something I noticed. it's a cozy feeling, like I'm not alone shskfjsk
after watching this I honestly can’t believe how I thought Jeff was straight… Maybe I thought his dancing w/ the Dean and stuff was just to get what he wanted so he went along with it?
EDIT: 6:58 “GAY BARS” UMMMMM
Anyway this video made me see Jeff in a completely new way, I totally recognize that he is certainly bisexual. And that isn’t a bad thing by any means!, I’m just shocked I didn’t think it before 🤷♀️
Thanks for this video : )
@@HingleMcCringleberryPSU you're in every comment insulting people for having headcanons, just shut the fuck up and let people be happy

Crazy how much content there is to back up this theory lmao. Always thought this watching Community, thankx for validating it lol
I don’t think he is bi, there is no way he finds a man other than himself attractive

i never noticed that slight nod in the Advanced Gay scene till now lol
I cannot tell you how many times I've watched the "Annie's move" episode with the Seal sing-a-long scene, it's just perfect. #Anniesmove
The first time I watched the show, I thought Jeff super hated the dean. Now I am seeing a little bit more mutual friendship than on my first viewing and I love it so much more. Still guarded, still annoyed, but a bit of genuine care underneath it all.
i wasn't on board until the Donald Sutherland line but actually yeah
