For me..Kanami Tōno, lead guitar and composer, is the most impressive musician of the 21st Century. Pure genius as a composer, true Rock n’ Roll Star on stage who plays her guitar like obsessed. She is The Special One in history of music 🔥🤘❤️💥

BM fans love this song. They often open their festival set with this song to establish their "bona fides"

Great reaction and comments guys. "From Now On" is one of the few purely instrumental pieces that Band-Maid has recorded, and it does illustrate their musical versatility without their lead vocalist Saiki. Another instrumental they have done, but this time in live performance before an audience, is their amazing official live song "Onset" from three years ago at Zepp Tokyo. Each of these talented members gets to show off the musical chops in a truly stunning display of pure sound enjoyment. "Onset" is a must for anyone who enjoys great instrumentals. Cheers.

This is one of four instrumentals they have dropped, all as video singles. They play one of them at half-time of each of their shows, in part to give Saiki a little rest and in part just to give us a taste of their instrumental chops. thanks for checking it out. Look for "Onset" live!

This band is off the charts awesome in terms of musicianship and technical ability. They are due an EU/UK tour so fingers crossed. I saw them in Yokohama last November but flying off to Japan for concerts every few weeks is a tad difficult

They can play anything, and be awesome at it. They can melt your face or make you cry and everything in between.

All their instrumentals are great, but without holding back is on another level.

They release a new instrumental track with each album, but this is one of only two that got an official video release on their channel. The other is a live version of "Onset". There are several other instrumentals of theirs out there with videos, but they were only released on bonus DVD's that came with their albums.

Great reaction! Band Maid have more instrumental songs " Onset " and "Without holding back". Check it out, you'll be glad you did it.

Don't forget, "Don't Be Long" and then there is the instrumental versions of their entire "Unseen World" album.

This is the opening track on the "Unleash" EP, and their singer suggested they use it as an opening song at festivals. They recognize that most Westerners have never heard of them and will have preconceived notions, so when they played Lollapalooza in Chicago last summer, it's a way to get them to listen. "You've heard some buzz about Band-Maid and you think we're a J-Pop idol dance troupe. Think again." They are the real deal.

Saiki the lead singer has had throat surgery in the past so the band are very careful with her voice. They play 2+ hour sets so to give Saiki a break around mid-set they do three things. 1. Play an instrumental, 2. Miku (rhythm guitar) takes lead vocals for a song or two (she usually has one track per album where she is lead vocalist) and 3. Miku will do her legendary and hilarious "Magic Time" MC set. Then Saiki comes back on to finish the set. Even though Saiki no longer needs a break nowadays, it's become more of a tradition. So yeah, they have a number of really cool instrumental tracks. Check out the live MV of "Onset" for another instrumental banger!

I think from now on, Band-Maid can include one instrumental, one Miku song, one song with lyric by Saiki and one song with Saiki on keyboard. 😊

Band-Maid, or more to the point Kanami Tono, writes the music first, then the lyrics are written by Miku and Saiki for the music. A great with/without example is "Giovanni", a great song with the vocals, but as a instrumental it takes on a completely different personality, leaving you wondering how is this all going on under the vocals!

Few bands have the creative ability to make instrumentals. Even fewer can make unique sounding instrumentals. Then there’s Band Maid

Most of the bands you grew up listening on radio couldn't do an instrumental if their lives depended on it.

From time to time, Band Maid just does instrumentals (the primary reason was for Saiki to have a break during concerts so she could protect her voice), so it's up to you to imagine the lyrics. For example: From now on, I'm a Maidiac! ;-)

BAND-MAID have other instrumentals like 'Onset' and 'Without Holding Back' as well as instrumental versions of their other songs. As well as the White Room Tutorials where each song has five seperated videos, one for each instrument and then one where they're all together. That way you can just watch the video for the part you want to learn.

"Onset" (live) is another rock instrumental and to pull such a song off live really shows they are much more than 5 little girlies in maid outfits.
Every member and every song ... the greatest at what they do.

    I love their instrumentals.
Have a look at "Memories Of Wind & Wine" something a bit special. Especially if you are familiar with that old Medieval ditty 'Greensleeves'.
Of course there are also the 'White Room' instrumentals, of some of their popular songs, that can be found on the "Instrumental Maids" channel.

Kanami is one of the greatest rock music composers ever. Her songs don't need vocals. Onset live and Without holding back are 2 more amazing instrumentals on their official page. Both just as good as this one.

In days past, instrumental tracks were much more common. Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" accidentally got played on FM radio and ended up at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Rush had a number of instrumentals, as did Yes, Genesis, Kansas and Boston.

Thank you for your reaction. This is one of their outstanding compositions so why should I be disappointed just because there is no singing? There are also good reasons to give the lead singer some rest as you will find out. There are quite a few instrumentals and I have not heard them all but Onset official live is fantastic. Have fun! :)

They use the instrumentals to give Saiki a break. They average 20 to 25 songs at each concert.
