I love the slow, deliberate chunk-chunk-chunk of this gun! It feels somewhat like the 20mm cannons the Fallout universe seemingly doesn't know exist xD
I use this as my main heavy weapon on all of my characters, it's great for hunting scorched beasts when the daily quest pops up for scorched beast DNA. Ammo is light and if you have the 90 percent lighter weight you can carry it around all the time. Love this weapon. Best ammo return on any weapon. As of right now I have 100000 rounds in my ammo stash box. I use it to convert to fuel for my Holy Fire.
I have an AA-E-90%WWR Gatling as my daily, with grenadier 2* it's ridiculous as a non-vats power armor user. I sit in the middle of rad rumble on the big blue thing and just shoot the tunnel floors either side and get max tags. Love it, and ammo is free; totally perfect for lazy heavy gunners like myself.
Too bad that doesn't work with ultracite ammo. It is a good way to get rid of at least most of your basic ammo, but the ammo converter doesn't accept nor create ultracite ammo.
Two shot 25% ffr Gatling is honestly super fun for mobbing on a full health heavy power armor build. Honestly can do good damage against anything just not a super boss killer like other guns
Gatling Gun skin atom shop did you get it? I haven't entered the game in a long time. I don't know what I missed. Is there a plan for Gatling Gun skin on the map while in the game world? If so, where can I find it. I use Gatling Gun a lot from time to time. It works very well on scorch characters. Especially if you use ultracite bullets. I'm looking for the skin you use Gatling Gun.
i wish others heavy weapons have good things like gatling gun, most of heavy weapons are nerfed, break easy, need to spin before shooting, ammo is way to expensive to keep using (gaus gatling) or ammo is too heavy to keep it around. Because that these days game is 99% commando builds
Flamer for me is the goat. Always pick up more than I use, Even my cremator I'm gaining ammo more often than not. I had 15k fuel, i gave away 5k to a lad the other day and I'm already back up to 20k
Plasma caster is even better with ammo efficiency, though it using plasma cartridges might be less than ideal. The cremator is also supposed to be pretty good, though I've yet to try it myself; it can take out whole groups in one shot and fuel drops are as plentiful as 5mm.
This is the core to my Vampire Tank build. I have one with the full-health damage / exploding mods and one with vampire. You tank and kill everything solo. Run with the Ultracite ammo mod and you just kill everything and heal to 100% with almost every shot. When the new legendary system comes out, goal will be a vampire with exploding. 2 in 1 tank weapon.
Yes I run the same build and I have a vampires explosive gatling gun and also lmg with the same effects for higher dps. The gatling gun is so great for day to day things,

Its not trash, its just not *The Best* Its a weapon that sits middle of the road, it can do alot, and there's alot it cant do, but if you're playing casually for fun and dont give af about damage numbers, is an amazing weapon to run

With 25% fire rate legendary and the modification to make it faster, it is a beast

You always get more ammo than you can use, turn it into another ammo type, you need. I use the excess to make flamer fuel.

I love the gatling. I use it to snipe with a tanky VATS build. Once I have a few kills, it really gets rolling.

You should try speedy receiver. I've found the extra damage from prime not needed and the extra fire rate is nice

I have a quad, last shot, break slower gatling gun. It is great because I don't have to repair it before I get to that last shot.

that’s actually hilarious. get to the bottom of 2000 rounds just for a 1/4 chance to deal 2x damage on a single shot… it’s a gag weapon for sure.

Love the thunderpipe skin on my b25ffr15crit gatling, 25ffr doesn't do as much but it's my daily driver.
