I like the simple, clean aesthetic of these binoculars. Some get a little too crazy with design and it makes them look cheap and gimmicky. I don’t mind some simple contouring like we see on some of the Nikons but I definitely prefer a clean aesthetic and I love how the metal focus knob stands out against the green body.
Although the warranty card says you can get 5 years extra on selected products, when you go online you find that the BDII series are not included in that. Why Kowa choose to waste the time of its customers I really do not know,.
I bought it. Is superior to the gpo passion ED, imho. But, take care: is the worst bino I have ever bought if we talk about accessories. That bag is a joke. Is not rigid at all. They don't even add a cleaning cloth! So prepare to spend another 30 euro to buy both. Btw, I plan to keep it for 10 years so for me is not a problem to spend more for these things. As I Said before optically speaking They are a bomb. Never had a brighter bino before.
@@АндрейГан-к8з The optical quality of GPO passion ed 8x42 is superior to the kowa bd ii 10x42. I know it is unfair comparaing a 8x with a 10x but the kowa 10x42 has noticable ca and the centre is much sharper than the corners.

I think of them as the affordable Swarovski.
Yup, exactly.
Thanks, always appreciate it when you guys point out the country of manufacture.
Kowa BD-II XD Series Binoculars Made İn China.
Thanks for the review. I’ve been well aware of the Kowa spotting scopes for years but I’d never known much about their binoculars before.
Thanks for watching!

In UK English "a bomb" is something really bad!!
They make 8x33 & 10x33 not 32. And the ED is made in Japan. Thank you 🙏🏼
Mine BDII is 8 x 32 and made in China
What is the “fishball effect”?
It's a optical distorsion when you move out of the center of the image/lens.
Is better this one or the gpo passion 8x42? Anyone knows?
