Right, I’m off to do this! I’ll add the black, but this looks a complete hoot 😊Thanks for continuing to show us tracks at all the grades. As you know, but perhaps not others on YT, for many of us whilst we can do blacks just fine, we can only feel like the pros - with that fun and where we can take on stuff at real pace - on these easier red and even blue tracks where everything is well within our ability. So we can shine! Roll on the power of the reds and blues 😊 And we love the blacks too, just a bit slower than you lot 👌 PS: Did I see one of the crew testing demo bikes at Degla last w/e?
I was up there back in May for the week after the World Cup, but it was too windy for the gondola to run, so I missed out. Heading up again the weekend after next, so hopefully will get the chance to ride this trail then. Some friends are up there now and rode it today. Still loose at the top, apparently.
Ooft. I know this trail has come in for a lot of stick. I myself enjoyed it back in September but had some reservations. Seeing riders of your talent encounter the same issues as I had in September 2021 - super low traction and corners that almost encourage front wash outs, is a little worrying. IMO it's a trail with a little bit of an identity crisis. I feel like the builders and design team need to decide on what direction they want to take with it. Is it a flow trail, is it an entry level DH trail? Either way, those corners at the top need an overhaul. They aren't banked correctly and aren't angled in a logical way. Anyways, I really hope this comment doesn't come across as negative. I just want to see the trail reach it's potential as it could be pretty special with a few changes ❤️
Hey Chris. Good to see Pro’s going down! We did it last October (6 times) and were up again last month but only managed 4 due to a later start. With my skill level (generally comfortable on a Red and at my limit on some bits of Black) I love Blue Doon! My vid is on my Channel but compared to yours it looks slow Mo😂 The Bridge at 9m43s is known as Spook’s Bridge as Spook Munro (ex No Fuss and Manages Top Station) designed and built it👍🏽 Cheers Ross MT
There's maybe a few more than 10 and we would state that the trail gets A LOT better in the lower half and especially in the trees. What did you think of this bit?
@@TheContourCollective I'd agree that it's kinda fun only from the woodland section. The top bit until the bridge is an excellent flat-corner and sprint-training ground, but other than that I'd rater top chief. As for beginners, IMO there are more fun and arguably better for progression tracks that are pedal-accessible, and who doesn't like going uphill anyway?
I did this trail last year just to see what it was like and its so bad it lacks flow the berms dont work and its got no real features or jumps at all but hopefully it will evovle over the next few years because it really needs to
What is going on with audio? Are you both connected and can hear each other? As sometimes it feels weird, like an echo, as you pretty much say same thing sometimes, just with second delay (as you would on same trail)... Just a bit confusing, probably just need to get used to it, that's all
We're both on the mic but not connected up. Some sections are edited where we're not talking to each other so it's just one individual. It's good to know this might be a little confusing though as we might not want to edit it like this in future. Comments certainly welcome as we understand what viewers what and what works best. Thanks for tuning in.
As someone who is coming to the World Cup for the first time this year and wants to do some riding while I’m there, which trails would you recommend in the area?
We're just about to share some videos of Laggan Wolftracks which is about 40 minutes from Nevis Range. Keep an eye on the channel next week. This place is well worth checking out. There's also a lot of trails around the WC DH track in the lower woods, many which are used for the Enduro races. Let us know what you end up riding and have a great trip.

Great to hear you enjoyed the video. The track is a lot of fun, so definitely check it out. Wasn't us at Degla I'm afraid.

Be great to hear the latest on how it’s running. Enjoy your trip. 🤘

It's a long Go Pro!
When it's super dry, take some psi out of the front fork. It will keep your front wheel planted
It can certainly get pretty loose up there when it's dry.
A trail with 100 berms, but only 10 are usable :D

Thanks for your view - it's certainly not the best flow trail out there.

Do you need a full face helmet for Nevis range ?
Best to check with Nevis Range on that. Depends on the trail probably.
i wonder if you can take a dog with you
You'd best ask Nevis Range although that would be fun!
