How is it possible that this three-minute clip captures the essence of the TMNT better than both Michael Bay's 2-hour Renditions...? Like honestly even the way Raphael looked is pretty much perfect... And this is a fan-made clip... Unbelievable.
phenomenal and inspiring. the way you had Raphael standing while the sun was rising and all we could see was his silhouette yet we could feel his burning desire to bring the unjust to their knees was just awesome. this is done better than any of the films.
Very impressive. Low budget fan-films, especially when dealing with such a popular franchise, can be difficult to create. You did an excellent job with finding a darker tone that the new live action TMNT will probably take. Also making a non-cgi Ninja Turtle look not stupid but actually badass, especially the face, is a major accomplishment. I'm look forward to seeing what else these filmmakers come up with. Congrats.
Just saw the ridiculous, AWFUL Bay trailer for the first time. Had to come back here to watch this and see what a new Ninja Turtles movie could have been. Can this film still be made?
3 minutes long, already a hundred times better than that crap michael bay produced. I'm always hoping for some serious reboot, dark, gritty and Mirage-style as it should be. The first movie is the only decent one so far, way ahead of its time.
After the recent Dark Crystal series on Netflix, I see no reason why this couldn't be the next stop for the Jim Henson production team to tackle. This look combined with the original 90s (just the first; not the trilogy) film would be spot on. Way better then the recent film adaptations with questionable CGI. Netflix could easily make this an awesome series.
i think what people appreciate about this is that it takes the story we all love so seriously. it gives it a dark tone, which it had originally and it shows the turtles aren't afraid to actually shed a little blood. not just break machines. good job man, you should really listen and shop this around. we need a brand new dark take on the turtles. a movie for adults who as children loved the comic and show.
Watched it again. It's amazing how Richard Krause brought us something with real emotion and depth, unlike short films like Beyond Black Mesa and much much more. I can't get enough of this.
guys, this is totally awesome. really great stuff, well done. it actually gave me a little of the feeling i remember having as a young kid admiring these characters so much. keep up the impressive work!
Absolutely LOVED this. Especially the ending shot with the fantastic music. If a movie was made that matched the epicness and emotion of that last shot it would make millions.
I don't understand why they don't make a live action TMNT movie with this sort of tone, it would be so badass... I guarantee it would do well at the box office too.
The lighting and editing are good, but don't zoom in so much during fight scenes. When 3/4 of the screen is being taken up by a guy's head it doesn't make it look more action packed it's just confusing.
I love this fan film. i wish it was real. its perfect since it has that Dark Knight feel to it. And the costumes are super cool looking. they look more menacing than the older 1990s version.
I remember watching this like two days after it was released on the internet all those years ago... And I legitimately thought it was the trailer for the new TMNT movies...
lol What are you talking about? April clearly hasn't met them yet and this is the meeting! Just as in the original films it's Raph who reveals himself to her first. What i got from it was that if they made a full film, April would now get to know them and learn they are not a threat. If anything what i loved about this was that it's almost as if this the very beginning, Raph even looks kinda young in a way (younger than normal lol) Brilliant fan made!
I'm late on this, started to make a poster for school and found this through some random links! Thanks for the visual inspiration and nostalgia.... Can't wait for whatever comes out next!
awesome work to all those involved in this fan film. with this film alone you already surpassed the TMNT 1 &2. i kinda liked the original and i loved parts of the new CG one that came out a few years ago. you guys did a great job.
After watching multiple TMNT videos, this is the best I have seen....you name an aspect, it's good...filming, editing, costumes and acting...I've looked up reviews of this and they should have been continued.....effing awesome!
Holy hell! This is incredible! I'm a fan of the comics, and was a fan writer for 10 years (as an adult). I left the fandom about 2 years ago due to the influx of giggly fangirls and slash. Was never so much a fan of the cartoons, though the 2k3 in the first season was good before it got stupid. I'm INCREDIBLY impressed by this. Kudos to you. You made my night. Thank you!
PLEASE MAKE MORE!!!!!! This is the way the turtles movie SHOULD BE!!!!!!!! Im a huge TMNT fan and you nailed this one right on target with the comics but "updated". keep em coming.
This is amazing for a faux trailer! Has hints of Nolan (the jokers goons masks vs. The Foot using gas masks). It was real and gritty. Just what the re-vamp needs. Hopefully Hollywood is watching this...hats off to you!
Love it... this is posted elsewhere too and I already commented there.... bu I "liked" both. Raph looks badass. Love the costume and Raph's face at the end is the best.
Very interesting, I really like you ideas for the looks. You have based off the original, but put your own unique twist in it. I soooo loved Raph, course he's my favorite turtle XD I wish I could get a suit like that.
Wow, this is pretty amazing. Looks like they used the suit from one of the older movies. I do think rebooting TMNT live-action flicks with a darker feel to it, like someone else here said is what the original comics were. Hollywood, listen up and pay attention please! And no I'm not just saying that because Batman is now "dark" too.
2:45- "It's all backwards for us. We're the terror of nightmares as the day burns. But when night falls... we are the light in the darkness." *cut to face*
That was fantastic. Easily one of the best fan films I've ever seen. Whoever owns the rights to the Ninja Turtles needs to hire you immediately to make the next movie.
This is AMAZING! I could only wish this was a clip from the upcoming 2012 movie. Please make a full movie, or atleast show this to every movie studio, this needs to be in theaters!
That was incredible. Nothing better than a short film on TH-cam looking better than anything made in Hollywood. Hopefully when the turtles come back to the big screen, it's live action and something like this.
This kind've "indie" look and feel would make SUCH a better movie than whatever Bay is likely to spit out. If there was some way this movie could get made to directly compete against the noise and nonsense that will hit the theaters.
wow... awesome!!! beautiful april also..almost moved me to tears when i hear the song at the end from the "sunshine" OST (the song title is: john murphy feat. underworld - capa meets the sun (to heal) -or- john murphy - a particularly beautiful day - from the same ost)
Why is so many people hating on this? Yo just be happy that someone is still keeping the turtle's alive, especially for the real fans like me, I appreciate someone doing something like this.
As a student film i have to say i really liked the short . I certaintly will suscribe to it. I loved the shot compositions, the lighting and the prop. If u decide to do it a fan based series the Only suggestions i would have is to try and make the fights a little more lively or active. Also i would love u so ever much if u based it on the Original comicbook source where the turtles are gritty avengers and mature than the cartoon. Most people dont know they wherent always goofy pizza eaters.
If you began a kickstarter I would totally pitch in for a full length version. Everyone give this a thumbs up if you would join me in helping to finance this. This needs to be TMNT!!!
Whose still watching this in 2020?
Who is still watching this in 2019?
Yup still love this video
I still keep hoping this would get picked up. We need a DARK Turtle movie.
2020
Nope 2021
2023
How is it possible that this three-minute clip captures the essence of the TMNT better than both Michael Bay's 2-hour Renditions...? Like honestly even the way Raphael looked is pretty much perfect... And this is a fan-made clip... Unbelievable.
Now why isn't this guy doing the TMNT instead of Bay and Jonathan Liebesman? Just look how beautiful the cinephotography looks.
phenomenal and inspiring.
the way you had Raphael standing while the sun was rising and all we could see was his silhouette yet we could feel his burning desire to bring the unjust to their knees
was just awesome.
this is done better than any of the films.
After four years i think i've finally been able to cope with the fact this wasn't turned into a web-series like it was intended to...
This was supposed to be turned into a web series? Now I need go cry in the corner. I hope you're happy
Very impressive. Low budget fan-films, especially when dealing with such a popular franchise, can be difficult to create. Still here, after 10 years, waiting for something like this instead that orribile Bay's version...
First one is a master piece. A dream a modern one like that...
After the recent Dark Crystal series on Netflix, I see no reason why this couldn't be the next stop for the Jim Henson production team to tackle. This look combined with the original 90s (just the first; not the trilogy) film would be spot on. Way better then the recent film adaptations with questionable CGI. They could totally just forget the 3rd movie happened...
I really love this video I'm a big tmnt fan I wish this was a full movie.
i seriously love love love this! watching it over and over again... please gimme more of your version...
I also love the design of Raph... great work!
This has inspired me to make my own tmnt film. I really love the style you went for and the cinematography is great. I just love it.
i think what people appreciate about this is that it takes the story we all love so seriously. it gives it a dark tone, which it had originally and it shows the turtles aren't afraid to actually shed a little blood. not just break machines. good job man, you should really listen and shop this around. we need a brand new dark take on the turtles. a movie for adults who as children loved the comic and show.
2022 I'm STILL Watching This PLEASE FINISH THIS MASTERPIECE F#%# The Haters You Have The Real TMNT Fans Support 1984-,,,,,
Pitch this to Netflix Producers this could be one hell of a hit just been very Honest
Marcus Movie trailers Allen tv one might even say... “ a shell of a good hit”. 😎
Jason Flores right
this is like the perfect start for a new series
The final shot with the Sunshine soundtrack catapulted this into another level.
Brilliant work. Just brilliant.
Watched it again.
It's amazing how Richard Krause brought us something with real emotion and depth, unlike short films like Beyond Black Mesa and much much more.
I can't get enough of this.

Absolutely LOVED this. Especially the ending shot with the fantastic music. If a movie was made that matched the epicness and emotion of that last shot it would make millions.
I saw this years ago and still amazed. I really wish short films like this got funding they deserved.
I don't understand why they don't make a live action TMNT movie with this sort of tone, it would be so badass... I guarantee it would do well at the box office too.
This is the movie we need, a darker one without all that CGI like the last movies.... I would pay for a Kickstarter project for this movie!
This is what the 2014 movie should have been like.
To say I like this short would be an understatement. It has a "Real" feel to it that would go over great with the masses. Good work.
I loved this. I really hope you guys make more of these! Very, very well done - and a fresh, and wonderful vision of the TMNT universe
Congratulations. This is another addition to the canon of great fan films.
Who remembers watching this before the 2014 TMNT movie came out good times
I remember watching this like two days after it was released on the internet all those years ago... And I legitimately thought it was the trailer for the new TMNT movies...

Wow... excellent stuff you guys. This has to be one of the best fan movies ever.
NO CGI! FUCK YES!
I'm late on this, started to make a poster for school and found this through some random links! Thanks for the visual inspiration and nostalgia.... Can't wait for whatever comes out next!
Well done guys! Your DP and Prod. Designer deserves credit for some really nice work!
awesome work to all those involved in this fan film. with this film alone you already surpassed the TMNT 1 &2. i kinda liked the original and i loved parts of the new CG one that came out a few years ago. you guys did a great job.
please! continue with a full series!
This honestly reminds me of the Mirage Turtle comics from the 80's. Awesome stuff.
I love the little throwback to the classic animation with Bebop and his bat.
After watching multiple TMNT videos, this is the best I have seen....you name an aspect, it's good...filming, editing, costumes and acting...I've looked up reviews of this and they should have been continued.....effing awesome!
This is GREAT. Continue to make these. Coming from a true TMNT fan.
WOOOOOO DAAAAAANNNNNG. This is pretty well done. I like the fact that most of it was without any vocals.
Thank you!

Beautiful lighting! The costumes are fantastic! I could watch the full version of this!
Wow, this is pretty amazing. Looks like they used the suit from one of the older movies. I do think rebooting TMNT live-action flicks with a darker feel to it, like someone else here said is what the original comics were. Hollywood, listen up and pay attention please! for fan made that was pretty damn awesome....hope you guys get to turn this into reality
2:45- "It's all backwards for us. We're the terror of nightmares as the day burns. But when night falls... we are the light in the darkness."
*cut to face*
I'm Astounded by the quality. Awesome Dude. :D
That was fantastic. Easily one of the best fan films I've ever seen. Whoever owns the rights to the Ninja Turtles needs to hire you immediately to make the next movie.
Pretty sweet! Good cinematography, nice April... Poor MacBook. Liked the sound design!
I like how Raphael looks in this, and the mix of CGI for the face and costume works well
This is AMAZING! I could only wish this was a clip from the upcoming 2012 movie. Please make a full movie, or atleast show this to every movie studio, this needs to be in theaters!
I'm surprised this has not hit the one million mark for views. We need more videos! :D
Hey the Bay TMNT movies were good. I like this trailer which helped me in writing my first TMNT story.
"Only one of these turtles is played by Corey Feldman."
this is so awesome!! I'd certainly watch webisodes of this. nicely done!!!!!!
This 3 min video kicks the hell out of both of the bay films.
I heart this so much. :D I really hope you do more.
That was incredible. Nothing better than a short film on TH-cam looking better than anything made in Hollywood. Hopefully when the turtles come back to the big screen, it's live action and something like this.
i can't stop watching it!!! :) i'm going to post this on my facebook, and for the next review i going to tell everyone about this...keep it up!
Not bad. Thumbs up for the use of John Murphy's score from "Sunshine" and for reminding me of many childhood memories I had. :D
This kind've "indie" look and feel would make SUCH a better movie than whatever Bay is likely to spit out. If there was some way this movie could get made to directly compete against the noise and nonsense that will hit the theaters.
Kudos my friend! This is something that if done correctly would revamp the Turtles Franchise into what it used to be.
So this was just an awesome fan made video?
There needs to be awards for internet videos like this.
Whoever you are, please make this a real movie!!! I am the number one fan of the TMNT.
Who is still watching in 2023
this deserves a lot more views
This is literally the best Ninja Turtles related thing I've seen in over twenty years. I checked. The original movie came out in 1990.
If you make this film we will buy it for sure!
or make it longer!
Dude I love this! =] please make more!
wow, that was awesome. this would be a great concept scene for a new Turtles movie. i'd love to see the story get this kind of modern treatment ^^
You guys did an outstanding job with this.
This was a cool fan made short film...By the way...does anybody know the name of the actress that played April O'Neil?...
As long as the Turtles are sporting their original all-red bandanas and not the silly blue. orange, purple, reds then I'll happily watch more of this.
wow... awesome!!! beautiful april also..almost moved me to tears when i hear the song at the end from the "sunshine" OST (the song title is: john murphy feat. underworld - capa meets the sun (to heal) -or- john murphy - a particularly beautiful day - from the same ost)
just awesome! do you have any plans making an entire movie?
Why is so many people hating on this? Yo just be happy that someone is still keeping the turtle's alive, especially for the real fans like me, I appreciate someone doing something like this.
This is awesome! Great work! I would love to see the making of and know about the production!!
@FightTheFoot Hi, I just want to know is this a movie that will come out soon in theaters?
I'd have more fun watching this than what ever mess Michael Bay has thrown together
This is incredible.
"dont come near me."
most unemotional plea for safety ever!
Great work guys! Looks brilliant! Anymore footage or outtakes?
As a student film i have to say i really liked the short . I certaintly will suscribe to it. I loved the shot compositions, the lighting and the prop. This is really damn awesome. I would love to see this idea as a feature length film :)
That’s amazing. Was that an actual suit? I loved it!
This is bloody awesome! Nice 5D action too!
Thanks Pete for sending me here
thanks pete
Why doesn't this have 9.3 million views yet?!
Good work, sir. Will we see more? How much of a challenge was the costume?
its 2021...and it still kicks ass
The end of this always gives me chills
If you began a kickstarter I would totally pitch in for a full length version. Everyone give this a thumbs up if you would join me in helping to finance this. This needs to be TMNT!!!
Dude... The lead henchman was Cory Werthen! I worked with him & he's in this awesome trailer. Great job, Cory!!!
