My name is Chet. I am a baller. Thanks to y’all for being smart enough to reckanize! 👀
@@myhumps2730 Love the show...I always mind the game 💯💯💯
What happened in 07-08 season. Let’s start there.
Great content JJ but get an eraser board buddy. Save 🌳
lmaooo if yall dont get JJ a damn ipad
Even just a dry erase clipboard, come on now
No cap even Bron was like “….😐”
Or even dry erase 😂 cmon yall!! Love this pod!!
Old school 💪🏾 pen and paper work just fine lol
@@deFINExGaming1”Yep.”
Can we get JJ a dry erase clipboard? 😆
i'd love to see an nba coache call a time out and then manually draw the court markings before running the team through the play. you could actually make an art show of all the nba coach's versions of what a court looks like.
I’m guessing it’s cuz the lights would reflect off the board. Paper easier to film
Looks better on paper
@@WJones23At least they should give him a paper with the court printed on it.
I was thinking a dry erase table and just draw on that lol
I just KNOW traditional sports TV media are seething that they don't have Lebron and JJ breaking down basketball on their shows and not getting commercial advertising, because this podcast is just pure basketball
Nah. They’ve got some guys but the problem is keeping it about sports and entertaining.
Legler is great, but basketball breakdown is probably too in-depth for most mainstream sports TV fans. Football is different because it's all through the eyes of the QB, like in the Madden video games.
tbh this podcast has taught me i love the drama and bullshit of traditional tv sports media more than the X's and O's
I doubt it. The real basketball fans will prefer this but majority of people will prefer something like a first take where there’s more of an entertainment aspect.
@@tyn6211
Legler just a great basketball mind.
I hit my bong every time Bron said yep
Now I'm in space trying to find out how tf to get back down
😂
"Bye buddy, hope you find your dad"

Who are they talking at the end? Jay dub, jay sth...
Kumanga? I hardly now her
Bron's "yep" game is STRONG!!
Yea ,, hahah😅
I can only hear 'yep' now 🥲
Give him some credit, he threw in a “for sure” as well
Correct
Yep
Offense back in the day was often 1 guy backing his defender into the paint, 8 other guys standing and watching. The game has evolved so much, many fans don't really understand what's actually going on, on the court.
It actually is wasn’t that at all. It involved a lot of cutting, and screen off of the drop into the post. There weren’t and haven’t ever been an abundance of “back to the basket” scorers who were dominant and all the ones that were dominant are most likely in the hall of fame, and on the 75th anniversary team.
@@seanxclusive sorry to break it to you but he also included the opponent and the teammates, go stand in the corner and think.
@@jaspfer6477 you know what you can do though?
@@Watchingvideoslikeuexactly. Peope thing every era played like the 90s and 2000s where it was all iso and lack of movement. But it u really go watch the 60s and 70s and even some of the every 80s, the offenses ran a lot like the nuggets, old spurs, and warriors do. A whole lot of free movement based offense.
@@seanxclusive 8 including the defenders, there's 10 people on a court
jj draws a circle
lebron: yup, yup, yup
Man, this is next level entertainment for the fanatics... Eating this up with gusto! Keep it up dudes!
Well said🤝🏽
Lebron: "Yep"
Yep
Yep
Yep
He already knows everything JJ is gonna say.
yep
I'm not much of a basketball fan these days, but listening to smart and informed people discuss it is as interesting as listening to smart and informed people discussing most topics.
I'm also impressed with how gracious LeBron is in these interviews. I've seen him enough on sports center to know he'd give a player his props, but for a guy on the very short list for GOAT to give other players, including role players, the respect he gives them is refreshing. If a player is good at something, LeBron is smart enough to recognize it, and confident enough to give credit where credit is due. That's cool.
As someone who never played organized basketball growing up, these podcast are so insightful 🙏
What I appreciate about Chet is his efficiency. He's the 3rd option behind SGA and Jalen Williams which means he gets limited touches and shots. And yet he doesnt waste his opportunities. If one of the 2 is having an off night, he can also step his game up. He's a vital piece for OKC.
He’s shooting 46% from less than 10 ft. He’s 7 ft 1 same with Joel Embiid. None of that shit is impressive.
@@gregordrizzlewing7339 he is litteraly a completely different player than Embiid and weights like 0.5 Joel Embiid
@@maxpavlic4080 in terms of where they get their points.
@@gregordrizzlewing7339 37% from 3 and 53% overall from the field is impressive asf stop hating
@@gregordrizzlewing7339 Oh Im sorry I read your comment wrong.
I feel like espn and others, the way they conduct a program, has dumbed the casual fan down.
The game is so much more complex than the narrative on espn and ect.
They completely miss the point of covering a game. They don't break down the game at all.
This is so refreshing. I can't express this enough
Man I been saying this for a couple years now. They have literally destroyed the essence of basketball.
The fans are not even fans anymore. It’s so bad that you see everybody now coming to watch this because they actually talk about the game in of itself. The game of basketball is much more than a screaming match. Much more than Lebron and MJ. It’s so bad where they have taken the game. It’s sad.
All espn does is have them yell at each other and have hot takes
That's not their job my guy. They're not here to breakdown on a detail level . ESPN is a sports coverage channel.
@hugh-jasole not sure if you are trolling or not with that comment. 🤔
Since when did covering a sport not include a breakdown analysis of the game. Sports analyst, I believe, is the title of the folks on ESPN.
Did I miss something here? Aren't they supposed to be experts in the game to analyze and break down what happened for the casual viewers??
@@Wedoheal Nah you right. Good thing about TNT is the fact that they joke a lot but have dedicated segments to breaking down certain parts of the game (tho not as much as when it was just Ernie and Kenny) meanwhile ESPN is just narrative bull
This will definitely destroy some of those EPSN views on those shows that give people who never played a sport a voice in the culture and I love it.
A lot of people don't want information, they want entertainment. Which is fine
This podcast is for the future. Lebron legitimately putting his stamp. Forever on basketball. I like this guy.
Facts I love that they are bringing back real basketball talk. How the game is actually played on a professional level. This what we been missing.
Chet is a small forward if he didn’t have center responsibilities. He can attack closeouts, attack off the dribble, pick n pop, and you can switch some actions thanks to his mobility at C. They run ghost screens for him too, and get him the ball in the fast break for trail 3s. And he’s a good defender. Fits great in OKCs positionless style
he's better center, cause if you put him on three you wouldn´t be using much of his size, the guy is 7'2
Sga stans seething. No playoffs last year lol
Chet has been so good this year honestly!!!
👏🏻
It’s unfortunate cause he’d be rookie of the year in most years and definitely deserves to have that notoriety
Bryce James came out as trans, he’s dating Zaya

I know very very little about basketball, but the level of introspection and strategy invested in this sport is incredible. Especially when considering that those decisions are made in real time!
The yep kills it for me 😂😂😂
This pod is crazy 🔥🔥🔥
I really appreciate you showing clips of examples of what you are talking about
I LOVE this show and can we please get JJ a coach's dry-erase bball court clip board and some expo markers? These sheets of paper and sharpees are killing me lol.

Appreciate the Okc Thunder love and people might wanna get use to hearing Jalen Williams’s name. He’s like that💯
JJ’s sigh at 5:24 😂 pure basketball emotion
I think before it's all over with in said and done, JJ is going to be an NBA coach
hes the definition of breathing and living the game, he watches every single nba game, couldve just retired like a normal person and stayed in the space as a casual fan but you know he has a deep passion for the sport
I didn’t expect their podcast to be so educational. I be learning ish I never thought I needed to know since I’m only a fan lol.
How old are you
I love how JJ is an OG and drawing multiple plays on different sheets where he can just get some ready printed sheets
These 2 gentlemen are in the same wavelengths when it comes to basketball knowledge. The pod is 🔥
I love this podcast. It really has me looking g at the game deeper and rewatching old game. Thx LeBron and JJ!! GOATS
In my opinion, this is the best technical basketball program on any platform that discusses basketball. I love listening to LBJ and JJ. In seems like LBJ knows what every player in the league is going to do and about all setup positions on the court. The man is a basketball savant. JJ is damn knowledgeable also.
THANK YOU FOR REAL BASKETBALL TALK.
Topics on this pod are not "sit-down" discussions. In fact the studio set should have basketball court and a full size white board.
We already have that on NBA TV. There’s a bunch of these shows. They just don’t have guys currently playing and on consistently.
I absolutely love this, especially that after a few drinks they really get into details and reveal trade secrets 😁
This play is why Draymond changed his DPOY vote to Wemby. In their game last week, Wemby as the low-man was able to disrupt that action multiple times.
Love this show so damn much. Watching the game is already so much more relatable
Cringe
lifehack for this pod: somebody prepare JJ some sheets with courts drawn on them :D
kidding, it's perfect. keep em comin!
this is the best pod ever. nothing but x's and o's
3:17 I lowkey love those drawing, the fact they almost suck really makes me think how it could be done better which makes my brain work harder to visualize, fortifying learning. I predict this becoming a board in the future.
Seeing Bron say those things about Jdub just makes me smile because I been saying this since I first saw Jdub play the Rockets In summer league his rookie year
I like this podcasts. Just breaking down the game for ppl like me
I'm sure the producers have already procured a Coach's whiteboard for JJ to write on in the next episode, no? Ha-ha. (Great pod, BTW!)
Shout out the editing/production team, they are really making good, small changes that mean a lot
Damn that was nicely explained and shown
JJ that wine kicking in 🤣🤣🤣💪🏾💪🏾
"I'm not gonna say it right now, cause we may see 'em in the Playoffssss"... hahahaha. Luv it.
This stuff is nuts insane to watch. I love me some basketball, but I know I can't enjoy the game until I understand this stuff (for my sake).
I'm in Orlando and want to go to a Magic game, but I can't even without understanding the game to this level.
I'm just a crazy person...
I love them nerding out on this ish!!!
How can you not see this coming
this podcast makes more interesting to watch👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was exactly what I was thinking after the 1st 5 games
Bron looked so impressed watching jj draw those courts lmao
There has gotta be a market for a modern etchasketch😂 I love the old school clipboard. It's great.
JJ Redick n LeBron have to be Coaches some day
Lebron doesn’t have the patience to coach 😂
I’m not even a Lebron fan..some would even call me a hater..but I love listening to these 2 talk ball
Lebron "Yup" James
JJ and lebron out here just killing trees 🤣
Love that there's a clip of golden state doing the lob on lbj
lebrons alley oop from reaves today was exactly what they just talked about. angle pick roll and lebron slot cuts for a lob. incredible u look at game’s differently now
Yeah fans including myself after this have to admit that they don't know what's actually happening on the court. These things are what separate college basketball and the nba; and the average fans don't even know what's happening at college level either lol
I thought my shit was glitching right away and it’s JJ writing in his notebook 😂
Loved it. Thanks JJ and LBJ.
Take a shot every time LeBron says "Right" or "Yup" 😂
You get really drunk really fast 🤣🤣
Hahahahahhahah😆😂😂😂😂😂😄😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hell no 😂
Oh the noise with the paper 🧐
Guys down some money on live animation, that would make this podcast epic
These guys are 'professional' basketball players...and elite at understanding the science of basketball...
Completely different subject, but I remember being 16, and hating English Literature classes... I then met a teacher who taught the 'science' of English...
Small things blew my mind...like any word that ends in 'ity' will be a noun... The larger concepts around the science of English had me hooked.
We all agree this is the best podcasts 🤝
Nah
damn i love this podcast.
Lebron averaging 100 yeps a episode
😂😂
When he said “Kumunga” 😂😂
Why doesn't JJ use a whiteboard with a halfcourt on it? He spends half his time just re-drawing the same half court over and over.
Side note, loving the Sharpie ASMR. This podcast production level through the roof.
This is the best podcast. Paper scribbling and all.
I want that hoodie Lebron!
Brons shoes. Flames. Yep
JJ out here drawing Phallic imagery
jdub game is so pure right now. imagine 4-5 years later
They talk real x's and o's. Love it.
This is more informational then anything on ESPN and Fox Sports
This is cool. Definitely a different approach. They make you feel like you're in the huddle too lol
When did they record this? was it during All Star Break? or Last Summer?
Get JJ a dry erase board! Love the visuals though
Stephen A and skip could never understand that
This pod addicting 🥹🤷🏽♂️, Bron not only showed me how much smarter than he is than everyone in basketball and he’s already mastered the Podcast game🙏🏽🙏🏽
How tf did he show you how he’s smarter than everyone?
JJ needs to get some paper with the pre-drawn courts lol
This podcast is so fucking real!
JJ said he wanted to give X’s and O’s. And we got em!

The purpose of the short roll isn’t to score! Preach LBJ. Read and react
You should preprint a bunch of these sheets with the half court.
