NISSAN SKYLINE 34 has definitely left a huge mark on Car Guys like all of us and that's definitely due to the late Paul Walker. The Sliver Car with NOS and Blue Lights under the Car , winning every Race in which he took part definitely inspired everyone. ♥️♥️
Maybe in the USA. It and the Supra were already well know most places east of the USA. The films didn't make those cars famous...they were in the films because they were great cars.
Definitely wasn’t Paul walker… I would say more gran turismo 1 on the PlayStation.. but the Skyline R 34 Vspec Midnight purple ,Supra,Rx-7,Lancer Evolution and Sti was definitely already popular.
But R34 it’s right hand drive car, you’ll drive on the wrong side of the road if you are not careful!!

From what I've read, the R34 Skyline was banned due to poor safety ratings here in the USA. However, I think they're legal for import now since they were made more than 20 years ago.
It's 25 years so not yet.

FYI you can still legally import Nissan Skyline R34, it just depend on your how deep your pocket is
1st and most people know, is via Show and Display rule. You basically targeting several rare trim (paint limited also count) at Skyline R34 line up such as Skyline GT-R Midnight Purple version, Nur version, CRS version and Z-Tune version. In fact, I believe there's a single Z-Tune gonna come to USA (from Thailand)
2nd (not too sure but probably can) can be via Skyline Restoration Program. Yes it's restoration program, but Nissan states that they can sources the cars if requested. The problem with this one is hefty price, since Nissan was asking 400k usd NOT including price of the car itself, and that's just for GT-R trim, which might cost much more if you request higher trim such as CRS and Nur. Therefor it's still cheaper to buy used rather that buy from Nissan / Nismo
3rd is the cheapest way and aimed by most, Waiting till 2025 to come then import 1

Why do people call the Skyline R33 and R34 Godzilla? Only the R32 was officially called Godzilla, it got it's nickname from back in JTCC and the Australian touring car series when it was pretty much eating every other car alive.

I love the skylines my favourite is the r32 but I live in the uk so I should be able to get one
I think the government should pass a law that any car that meets all European regulations can be sold in very small numbers in the US. (Maybe less than 1000 per year)

or if they where imported individually, one-at-a-time, so cheap Chinese car makers couldn’t mass dump a bunch of horrible dangerous poorly-made cars on the US… (that was why the 25-year law was made in the first place)
@@crazysilly2914 European car regulations are good enough that I do not think we have to worry about companies getting extremely dangerous vehicles in the US with my proposed law.
I'm really disappointed that Renault/Alpine never came state side. Yes, you could import classics, but if you want that sweet Clio V6 from your favorite PS2 NFS game, then you're out of luck until 2025 or later. Really a Honda Jazz (Honda Fit), or a gen 3 VW Scirocco sounds great as well considering those would make for an interesting choice as a show car all facts considered.

You are incorrect about most of the cars on the list. The JDM dealership sells all manners of GTR's and Skylines here in SC. They have been for years. I saw an Atom two months ago at a car show. Lotus Elise and an XJ220 last weekend at a car show in Charlotte. You should edit the headline of this video.

Some said that import car, especially R34 has some safety issue and very fast on the road. Even with factory stock part, simple tune and wussshhhh cops only saw the tail light 😂🤣

The noble, the r34, the jag, and the tvr cars. In my opinion had nothing to do with safety, emissions, or lack of demand…. But those cars are what I call market crashers, dollar for dollar they punch way above their class and price valued slightly below their projected class making them a smarter purchase. So it would absolutely (again in my opinion.) ruin the sales of the current available list of cars in their respective classes…. But idk what I’m talking about, so who cares 😅
