Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓 I’ve been into Korean music since 1998 when I was 15, and using “kpop stan” is more catchy (super cringe or not) than “person who’s listened to Korean music since 1998”, amirite or AMIRITE.😂

I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since. The genre, along with artists like Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, Britney Spears, etc. then motivated me into becoming a hip-hop/pop dancer, which was a very active lifestyle for me literally throughout my whole 20s. (XTRA DANCE 411- I danced for, trained, and performed with 4 different dance teams. My first and main dance team who started my "dance life" was with Marvelous Motion (who later became IaMmE, America's Best Dance Crew Season 6 Champions). A lot of my dance training came from Di "Moon" Zhang, Brandon "747" Harrell, Emilio Dosal, SOREAL, and from attending many dance classes in Houston and L.A. (from amazing local talent to widely-known talents such as Parris Goebel, Keone Madrid, Kyle Hanagami, Lando Wilkins, Mister Wiggles, Rino Nakasone)
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music and dance around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis, seizures, and a heart murmur. I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with Kpop or dance. Luckily, I'm in remission now. That doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups if I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible. I am also not capable of being an active dancer like I used to be due to my chronic illnesses, but I’m still a dancer in my mind, heart, and soul.
ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛 Sooo I am currently and actively keeping a weather eye on the KPOP horizon and also using what I’ve learned from my dance years to give credit where it’s due!

Cool facts, the masked dancer is suppose to represent and like replace Handong in the choreography since Handong was still in China during the Scream era. That is a nice touch and sweet too because it show where Handong place will be when she would comeback and they perform Scream with her. I hope that i make sense explaining.
Made sense to me. And yes, it was very sweet of them! They all missed her like crazy and she missed all of them like crazy! It's so great to see a family form like that! :)
the beginning of Scream choreo looks a little like the beginning of Odd Eye's. I really love how they tied in the Dystopia era with these little details, gives me a little of a "beginning of the end" kinda feel
That’s because in Odd Eye. The second to last formation surrounding JiU is actually the starting formation of the Scream choreo

I think that CLC got done dirty. They should still be here as a group, there was no GOOD reason at all to break them up, that was a dumb move on the company's part. It's a sore spot for me.

thina, you should check out the "Scream (special dance) video. the girls give a nod to their previous comebacks wearing the outfits and doing some key-points choreo parts of those. it's so creative and fun to watch

Their backup dancers are so good. The guys did that drop to the knees in Odd Eye which has to hurt even through knee pads. I hope they're still with the company since they didn't use them in BEcause. Thanks for the excellent analysis. You're my go to reactor for the dance and I've learned a lot about dance from you.
I think they didn't use dancers because it was special album. Some kind of filler between storylines.
I have been wondering who the masked dancer was. Not that it matters for stage anymore but whoever that is, they deserve some real kudos. They danced with pro performers and they totally smashed the performance, but they were not allowed to reveal themselves. That part really sucks! I hope they get some real accolades later!

if was two ppl. Majority of the times it was done by Kang Riye but Hwang Sooyeon filled in for her like once or twice.
btw I only counted the ones who held Dongie's place.

Amazing reaction to "Scream" but you can't only react to this one without including the other two from the trilogy ("Odd Eye" & "Boca") because the choreo connects all three.
