40 days or 50 days? I am not sure how he got the 50 days. Can anyone explain? I mean Moses came back with the 10 commandment to the Israelites after 40 days I think.
The Pentecost in the Old Testament was the feast of the harvest (Exodus 23:16), not the feast of remembering the giving of the law at mount Sinai. This feast was for the Israelites the feast of weeks, of the first-fruits of wheat-harvest (Exodus 34:22). At the feast of weeks the Israelites had to remember that they were slaves in Egypt (Deut 16:12) and to rejoice about the blessings of God in the wheat-harvest (Deut 16:11). The feast of weeks, of the first-fruits of wheat-harvest is a type of the first-fruit of disciples for Jesus at the Pentecost in Acts 2.
The talmud may offer some perspective but it is not a sacred book by any means. You will not see Jesus Christ's touch in the talmud. Is there a sacred Christian commentary outside of the Bible!?!? No.. wrong on that one point.
@evsabby I know,I hv thought of that also.Just hoping I guess. It does not hv to be on a feast anyways.Feasts were celebrated by Jews and its for the Jews.I say Jesus come now lol

He wrote the New covenant on our hearts not the old one. Jesus fulfilled the old covenant with his death. jeremiah 31:31-34.
