100huntley Does the bitter herbs have anything to do with the bitter wine Jesus was given on the cross?

Seder “order” invented after the destruction of the temple and is written in a "Haggada", which means “the telling" the story of the Exodus from Egypt. Because the Temple was destroyed, the seder ritual became a reality in the jewish home. The jewish people are now "at the alter," when you eat your meal. When the Temple was destroyed, Rabbi’s developed the Seder not until AFTER Jesus was dead. The passover ritual was strictly temple based until its destruction. The guest on the show cannot prove the Seder was observed outside the temple before or at the time of "Jesus". "Jesus" was not having a passover meal at the so called "last supper". Besides where are the bitter herbs? Do apologist have to try to invent an analogy somewhere to place the bitter herbs? Passover was a temple ritual.
Passover symbols or sedar plate did not exist until after the destruction of temple. No charositz. The jewish Mishna instructs how to do a Passover Seder: Brachot 39b. you take the one and half pieces of matzo, one piece and a broken piece, matzo, which is the bread of the poor, if you are rich you would have had two full pieces. Rambam says does not matter which piece you take to break. "Three" matzos representing “holy spirit” is fake. The afikomen was not hidden until the 17th century, Germany. Kids would fall asleep during the seder, to keep the kids up during the seder, the middle matzo was hidden and then searched at the end.
The analogy of the strips and piercing on the Matzo with Isaiah is ridiculous, and made up to place Christian symbolism that has been taken completely out of context with what Isaiah 53 is all about. Absolute nonsense. The suffering servant was the Nation of Israel and not "Jesus" and that issue is an entirely different discussion not germaine to this video.
So thumbs down to these well intentioned, nice speaking yet misinformed Christians.

Very little of this reply is accurate. Need to read the book of Exodus to see that a lamb was eaten with unleavened bread. Jesus did indeed eat the Passover supper with His disciples. You definitely need to read Isaiah 53 again in context. This was a great video. A few things were embellished but for the most part very accurate description.
