Bobbleheads of ME?! "Zack Hample Day" and VIP treatment with the Reading Fightin Phils

- Trigger warning for the haters: you're gonna HATE this video. For the rest of you (and especially fans of Minor League Baseball), you're going to LOVE this and be amazed. And if you want to get a peek at Anthony Volpe -- the Yankees top prospect billed as "the next Derek Jeter" -- you're in luck because the Somerset Patriots were here!
The Fightin Phils (Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies) invited me to be the featured guest at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, Pennsylvania. They even put my name on their promotional schedule and designed special bobbleheads for the occasion. I had field access, played catch with one of the players, enjoyed an early batting practice experience with my fans, threw out the ceremonial first pitch, and did a meet-and-greet plus multiple autograph sessions. It was NUTS. I did NOT expect this many people and was truly honored by all the enthusiasm and support.

When people ask Why does Zack run around chasing baseballs? Simple Answer for the fun and the fans and the spirit of our pastime. Having a day dedicated in your honor is pretty darn amazing and well deserved. Seeing the fans there wanting to meet you and take photos means your doing it right and for the right reasons. I wonder are you gonna make some more baseball cards? I am not a big collector but I do have a few favorite cards left to me from my dad, and I would like to have one of yours in my mini collection. You don't have to sign it unless you feel like it. Such an awesome video. BTW you got a pretty darn good throwing arm.

I enjoy all your videos but this is special. Not all fans can get to a major league stadium but there are so many minor league stadiums in other cities those fans were probably over the moon to meet you. MiLB should set you up to go to more games like this one.

Hey Zack! You should go to an Atlantic League game! Well if you haven’t already! They hit many home runs and you get many balls. Most Atlantic League games take place in South Central PA along the Susquehanna river! The stadiums are a little bit smaller but the Atlantic League has partnered with the major leagues. Neat Bobble Heads!

It’s too bad that there’s haters on TH-cam Zack and they really don’t know of how generous, kind, and respectful you are to fans and other people you come into contact with, you’re giving and put so many people first ahead of yourself. What they don’t know, the haters, is that you give to a charity that helps out so many kids, you help kids fulfill a dream of playing baseball and softball through Pitch In For Baseball & Softball and you give back one of kind Momentos back to players of Major League Baseball for their first, first hits, home runs, historic milestones, and so forth. You give so much asking for very little to nothing in return and in my eyes and heart, that makes you awesome Zack and don’t let anyone else tell you either wise.

I had to look at 10:36-10:38 at 1/4th speed to understand that the throw was off the net. "Old Balls" in a Beavis and Butthead voice at 5:00. The kid at 13:08 has an extremely large arm and hand. That baseball at 15:37 is worth millions. I don't want Fenway Chris' job, but after watching the documentary, I want to be the person who does a live "cha-ching" cash register ring sound every time you catch a baseball.

I remember my first (then) Reading Phillies game as a kid. I went with my church youth-group and we watched the whole game from the pool in right field
