Looks like you're walking through a painting 🤩 beautiful scenery
Agreed! Colorado is amazing!
Absolutely amazing! Im looking forward to doing this hike on Thursday
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing this
Wow
1 crowded trailhead..amazing trek.
My parents had a cabin on Log Hill Mesa right outside Ridgway, CO and across from the Dallas Creek Road access which you take to get to that Blue Lakes trailhead and Mt. Sneffels. We’d hike that trail each summer, sometimes twice. There were no smart phones w/cameras back then and I don’t have too many pictures of those adventures, so watching this brought back many wonderful memories. Thank you!
Very good production. I’m looking forward to hike this trail ⛰✨
And THIS year (2021) has been the BEST year for wildflowers in Colorado in the 16 years that I’ve been here! Apparently we got all of California’s rain (but all of California’s smoke as well😟)
Great production. Thanks
Thank you!
it's UNREAL ! Wow
Awesome views, thank you for another stunning video! nice "revive" at the end, like it. Greetings from Germany
Thank you!
@Sheety33 My buddy and I were the guys you met around the 10:48 mark of the video. It was great meeting you out on the trail. We are big fans of your content, keep up the good work!
Thank you very much! Was good to meet you guys - still can’t believe you recognized me with a face mask!!! Hope your staying safe out there!
My Daughter and I made this same hike in 1997 with others and it looked just like this
We also saw a landslide at the lower Lake.
Thanks!
I just did this! It was much less crowded in mid-June, and there was more snow. I didn't see an obvious way to cross the water to get to the other side to go up to the upper lakes, though.
the only problem I had with my hike through the blue lakes was MOSQUITOS, there was no calmly walking through it was sprinting to the next climb up all and all a gorgeous trail especially to the pass through the caldera of sneffels
Very beautiful video.
I stay for a long time.
Have a happy day.
^^*
Hi thanks for the video its amazing. For the blueish view at 11:58 how much was the distance to walk and how long did it take? Is it going to be really hot the end of june? I am planning to go tomorrow.
Is camping free ? Do you have to register for it ? I really want to camp there this summer but I can’t find anything online about camping there.
Sweet video and nice sweatshirt. Where’s it from?
August and it looks nice. Beautiful area. I live way south of there in Southern New Mexico. I had a question, how much longer until your kids can go hiking with you?
Do you mean how old does a child need to be to hike this type of trail?
@@Sheety33 Oh I was just wondering if your children are old enough yet.
Beautiful views and great video!
Ps what’s up with the mask🤷🏼♀️
How do you get to the actually trail ?
Great video! Can I ask what your opinion is for using an iPhone and what recommendations would you have for a selfie stick and tripod? Thanks
iPhones are great. Honestly, it’s not the camera, it’s how you use your gear :)
That's so true! I was at Horseshoe Falls in 1985. All I had was a cheap disposable camera I bought at the gift shop there. I snapped a picture of the falls from balancing on the cliff side of the fence and got a picture that is breathtaking. Looks like a beautiful oil painting. My Dad was a famous professional photographer. He was shocked as he pretty much used Nikon and Hasselblad!
I risked my life to get that shot. Two little old ladies almost had heart attacks watching me😂
How far would you say the drive from the blue lakes trail parking area is from Denver, Co?
Maybe 4 hours away
Hello friend, I am one of your FC from North Carolina and just want to let you know that your clip hiked to BLUE LAKE really impressed me, your videos are very good quality. I want to know how the dirt road is to the trailhead, can a SUV drive thru?
Thank you very much! The dirt road into this trailhead is rough - however; there were several vehicles passing me on the way in (which were probably going too fast). The road is lumpy and bumpy. Take care of your vehicle when driving in and go slow to be safe. I have a RAV4 and had no issues driving in.
@@Sheety33 God bless you always.
You said the road in was horrible. What do you mean by that? I plan to hike the trail in August. Will my Subaru Outback be ok on the road? Many thanks
I did this hike a few weeks before these two did, July 2020. I drove up to trailhead in a RAV4, no problem on the dirt road in, however, as was mentioned, it is slow-going. Some spots are a little rocky but go slow in those areas. Saw Outbacks at the trailhead, even a few 2WD sedans. This is video is very well-done! The lake is as blue-green as the video, have fun!
100% accurate. The road is slow-going, and depending on how much you value your car, horrible in a few places. If you slow down and take the road easy you will be fine. Hope this helps🤠
Please help. Is this hike to the first lake easy or friendly for kids, too? My kids' ages are 4, 5, 6, 7, 9. Thanks
Easy to the first lake (pictured) then gradually more challenging leading up to the upper lake.
@Sheety33 easy for kids too. 😊 🙏 😊

Lot of animal life of the human variety. Beautiful but too many animals for me.
