I could be wrong, but might want to elevate copper rods up 1 block from wood... maybe use cobble brick fence or any other non wood material, then copper rod on top
A simple four slime block flying machine could have moved a couple blocks of grass over to your island quickly; trade off being resources instead of time. A little thing people don't realize is that pistons can manipulate grass blocks without converting them to dirt! Great video regardless, its cool see you learning things about the game through trial and error, while still have a lot of fun! Keep it up!
Nicely done getting the grass over but take it down now that you dont need it any more. Dont want some random player to find it and have a nice green path strait to your base. Keep the vids rolling
Pour water on the mycelium at night to kill it all off. Or conversely, use a shovel and right click on it all to turn it into path blocks. Or conversely conversely, you could just use moss + bonemeal to convert the mycelium into moss, so you can still have greenery.
@@rickson2b2t Just transfer grass into a small pen, that you've cleared out beforehand, and do it that way. But you should also terraform your island as well.
For the real vanilla experience, I think you should turn off fullbright. It kinda breaks the immersion. Otherwise, I am loving this series. It's quite fascinating watching you learn minecraft basics on 2b2t of all places. Keep it up, I can't wait to see where this goes!

The reason I've kept it on is to make editing easier; trying to brighten dark Minecraft footage so people can see what's going on takes so long, it would literally mean these episodes were half as long or even less. Plus it still doesn't look too good. I know it takes away some atmosphere and doesn't make this completely vanilla, but I wanted to do long episodes and this was the only way 🙂

The rods need to be 3-4 blocks above your house. They will just attract the lighting. As for the grass, get an enchanting table and look for silk touch.
you could just pillar up into the sky and have the lightning rods be floating if you want or put them on top of the mushrooms having them directly on your wood roof like that will make it more likely for it to catch fire; you want to elevate them by a few blocks at least also getting an enderman to grab a piece of grass would be faster than waiting for the grass to spread or just wait for silk touch edit: that grass near the bottom of the staircase won't grow at night cuz there's no light; put a torch there
Good move on the trapdoors to block the mooshrooms, my group had some pets load our members pearls while they were offline which we had no idea could happen 😭😭
Just so you know blurring an image is a reversible effect and someone can get an approximate image, locate the bedrock pattern on the roof by comparing the seed and find the hwy your base is on. In other words, I recognize that blurry block. I doubt anyone will care that much to find a vanilla base in the millions though

End-raiding is going to be fun. Just spend 3 days grinding for shulker shells and elytra. My absolute favorite thing to do tbh.
End spawn is either swamped with Wardens or players spawn camping, and Elytra are min 30k away😭 it'll be very difficult!
@ The wardens have been cleared as of November 15th. And there were no players in sight when I went. You can do this! 😂

You'll probably want to take out the dirt bridge at some point as it's a great big arrow for someone to happen upon and find your base
