      Yes, in it's own way that's what happened with John F Kennedy when he was a Student at Choate. He knew he had very big shoes to fill since his Big Brother Joe who was only Two Years Older was The Family Prince. Jack as he was known got into mischief with his Classmates known as The Muckers and when his behavior got out of hand ie sneaking out past curfew, his Father had to come along and "Talk" to the Brother and I wouldn't be surprised if he gave a Monetary Donation.

    • @devinandres8840
      @devinandres8840 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@edgarallanpoe8917 is that a quote from that movie DEATH SENTENCE-2007 with KEVIN BACON & JOHN GOODMAN & BILLY & HIS GANG? It's way better than Death Wish the original with Charlie Bronson & even better than the remake with Bruce Willis. I liked it better than the BRAVE ONE with Jodie Foster as the VIGILANTE. James Wan's first non horror movie was Death Sentence not Dead silence either. The urban myth were if ur driving down a road at night and u see another car coming in the other lane and they don't have their headlights on & if u flash them with ur own headlights to let them know then now ur that gangs target. That's how it starts too cause as Kevin Bacon and his oldest son are coming home from a hockey game they pull Into a gas station and out of nowhere comes this muscle car and the gang gets out and heads into the gas station and the leader played by Garrett Hedlund has a younger brother that as part of this gangs initiation this kid must KILL someone to become part of this gang. After the Billy boy the leader shoots the clerk behind the counter he trys to amp up his brother who has a machete in his hand and slices the throat of bacon's eldest son. Bacon watches in horror as he's pumping gas into his car outside and everything happens real fast and the gang rush out and take off but the now new member of the gang gets left behind and has a brief struggle & tackle were bacon is trying to get this kid but loses the upper hand and this punk runs out into the road and says what the fuck? Then he gets hit bar a car and this punk ends up going over the top of this car into the air only to crash down hard. He lives but gets busted. Bacon rushes inside to save his son as he is bleeding to death and it's a nasty scene and when his kid gets rushed to the hospital he's pretty much DOA. KELLY PRESTON IS THE WIFE AND BACON HAS HIS YOUNGEST SON AT THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND ITS NOT LONG BEFORE THE DOC COMES OUT AND DELIVERS THE BAD NEWS..
      Too avoid a spoiler ALERT well enough said already by me. EVERYONE knows & likes John Goodman who owns a auto repair junkyard as a legit front cause he also his a heroin dealer and gives it to his son "the gang lord wannabe" but the leader is a ruthless & doesnt give any fake or punk regular dumb thug. There is a scene were towards the end Kevin Bacon needs some guns and since he's the CEO of some fortune 500 corporation he's rich and upper class. Bacon walks in the shot and says I need guns. Goodman looks at him & says I don't know u. Then he says "I'm gonna take a guess that ur a little far from home" then bacon sets the money back at Goodman that changes everything cause MONEY TALKS. GOODMAN SAYS "WELL DONT LET ME SMELL ANY FEAR ON U, CAUSE FEAR IS FOR THE BULLETS, LOTS OF BULLET & GUNS
      GOODMAN PLAYED THIS HARD AS NAILS FATHER OF THIS GANG BUT HE'S NOT IN THE GANG. AFTER HE BUYS THE DESERT EAGLE AND A .357 MAGNUM AND A BIG DOUBLE BARREL SHOT GUN AND SOME OTHE SEMI AUTOMATIC GUN. ALL THIS MONEY IS MAKING GOODMAN ECCENTRIC AND OVER EXISTED AND AFTER THE TRANSACTION IS OVER. GOODMAN COCKS HIS OWN GUN AS HE FACES THE GUN UP AND NOT AT BACON. GOODMAN SAYS "SO ARE YOU THE MOTHER FUCKER THAT KILLED MY YOUNGEST JOE? AND NOW UR AFTER BILLY TOO RIGHT? BACON TURNS AROUND AND SAYS HE'S UR SON? THEN GOODMAN GOES INTO PSYCHO MODE WITH WHAT HE SAYS TO BACON. "WELL IF ANYONE EVER NEEDED TO SETTLE A SCORE WELL BILLY WOULD BE THE ONE TO PAY. BILLY IS NO DOING OF MINE AND EVERYTHING ELSE HE DOES IS NO DAMN DOING OF MINE. KILL THE LITTLE PISS PANTS & IT MAKES NO DAMN DIFFERENCE FROM ME. DAD TO DAD DON'T TELL ME ABOUT IT OK JUST GO DO IT.
      TOO LONG WITH MY RPLS TO RESPONSES AGAIN.

      Not to mention *much respect* for producing such greats as Colin Chapman, Frank Williams, Ken Tyrell, Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart, Nigel Mansell, and Lola assisting us with the development of the Ford GT40 to take on Ferrari & Porsche at Le Mans. With notable respect to Mike Costin and Keith Duckworth for creating the nearly invincible Ford DFV V-8. 🏁🏆

      It would show too much manliness, courage and principle for the current tastes of social engineering culture.

    One day, if I land in a argument that offends my code, I hope to beat the table with my walking stick and thunder the words "If I were the man I was five years ago I'd take a flame-thrower to this place." I think it would leave an impression.
    (Incidentally, a Freudian reading of this scene would delight in the fact that both men wield phallos-shaped objects as they make their points.)
