Never noticed and doesn't really bother me. The Lego group and Star Wars are never totally in sync. It is hard to know what Star Wars gives the Lego group to work with.
I never noticed, but I feel like Lego definitely isn't going to take the effort to print basically an identical figure with one tiny detail changed. I think if we were gonna get a different look for Din, it would be his original armor from the start of the show, which I would welcome. Heck, maybe even have a spot on the set to store the torso and legs from the new armor set, so you can give him his new armor while playing with the set.

He also didnt have that right thigh armor in season 1 either. Thats his season 2 and 3 leg armor
