    Thankyou Steve this was emotional for me as mum had spoken to me about the shelters underground she was 6 and it wasnt something she forgot very easily , i have realised why she hated being in closed spaces 😭😭 , also Ty for mentioning me in your video your a gem Steve ❤️

    We are Maltese and living in Australia
    We love Malta and always enjoy watching your videos
    We’ve been to Malta quite a few times and would love to come again
    But we are in our late 70s and not sure what to do
    Our children have been to Malta and they loved it

I never knew it was there after all the years, we've been coming to Malta, I don't think I could have gone down there as a bit too dark & too many stairs & a bit claustrophobic too, but thank u for sharing with us, I loved every minute of it 💙 I love all ure videos 😊 have a good week Steve 😊

      Glad you enjoyed it Denise , i5s not as bad as it looks, blast back 8n time, must have been hell war time, it was taken over by heritage Malta about a year ago, before that only 1 place opened by the Valletta council

    Fascinating tour Steve. Martin very knowledgeable and such a charming man. You would never imagine all that history under your feet when you're walking around Valletta. How nice to see Bobby in person as well. Looking forward to any videos you make when you visit Italy soon.

    Hey Steve, what a fascinating video 🤩 I loved to see those old rooms and the beautiful tiles. I imagine it got quite noisy down there, no escape from a crying baby etc! I remember watching the other video you did that you mentioned towards the end. Great to see that you met up with Bobby too! 😁

    It's beyond belief that such a labyrinth of tunnels was dug 'by Maltese 🇲🇹 hands & sweat' , first during the "Knights of St John ⚔" period then British 🇬🇧 rule. It's definitely 'histories of the underground' 😲.

      Yes there seems some interesting in underground tours, that tunnel to fort st Elmo from Merchant street tunnel looks interesting, I think many more around Malta to be uncovered

    I personally am from the uk but my grandad owns a flat in Valletta and the cathedral is amazing with all the lights at night and I went to the ww2 tunnels

    That looks like an amazing tour to do. I did one that was just inside like you mentioned, but that was years ago. How was the height going through as I’m 6’7 and a bit clumsy ha ha.
