Guys didn't forget to put rollers behind the fairleads. I don't want you to fail by cutting the lines. I'm really impressed with how much progress your making.
I would put led strips on the back of the logo on the boom to make it light up, can’t wait to see that thing running in full operation 🤘🏻
The mini wrecker is gonna be so much fun, especially with you 3 characters in it. Where you mounting the extra seats? Mount a saddle on the boom. 😂
How about fold down jump seats mounted to the headache gussets?
Do you need something to stop the main boom from going out when pull something hard with the hook.❤😂

I have concerns of the fairlead strength with a rig on it... But everything else is amazing. Love it, can't wait to hit a trail with you guys in this mini truck.

I was thinking the same thing. That much side to side movement could also be a problem.
@@jessepitt not to worried about the side to side, but a full load in the center of that fairlead could cause it to bend. I'm not saying it will for sure, but it's definitely a concern I would watch out for.

Should have gotten bushings like Matts off road has on their wrecker. Yours will allow side-to-side movement of the line under load causing possible wear at one point of the line.

For aesthetic purposes . When fabricating , put the seams of the tubing to the inside of your project so they don’t show up in your paint .

Look at a Holmes 440 wrecker body. The supports meet the bed well behind the boom pivot point. I think your flexing problem could be helped some by moving the supports back farther. Also that fairlead is nice looking, but it's so wide. You're going to have a lot of side to side movement when towing. I know synthetic cables are tough, but a pulley up there would go a long way in protecting and controlling it when towing/lifting. Just my opinion.
Your mini wrecker is cool. The retractable stinger takes the cake. You guys are awesome, keep up the great shows. Thank you.
Pneumatic and/or electric actuators to extend/retract the boom extension. And of course have the holes for manual extending/retracting if system down.
Your guys fabrication skills are getting so good. Keep up the good work you guys are gonna be one of the biggest offroad youtubers one day.

Hey Guys, love what you're doing. Have some suggestions for you. Consider some rear outriggers to widen the foot print of the mini wrecker and keep from overloading the leaf springs. Also once you've fully braced the deck so the headache rack won't flex, consider adding some hydraulic rams to lift the boom into position. And finally thanks for finally cutting that line on the cab! Looks like it was planned that way from the beginning!!!

I think this option would work the best (6 Ton (12,000 lb) Dump Trailer Hydraulic Scissor Hoist Kit - PH416) runs off DC. So in lieu of a bed its the boom. Awesome vid guys keep them rolling.

That fair lead on the end of the boom looks really cool. I am concerned that your cable will slide side to side as you are towing. You might want to put some pulleys or something to keep it in the center.

That laser cut name brace thingy is awesome. The mini-wrecker is coming along nicely. I read a comment asking for longer videos. Since we have already seen you 3 play golf (which was hilarious, btw), what about adding in a clip of you guys bowling??? Would love to see that!
A couple of those led whips you see on sxs at the dunes inside the boom to backlight those panels would be the icing on the cake.
I’m curious about how you will grease it all. “Long pin on bottom, extension in and out” especially if you drill holes at certain points to make it diff lengths. Also using fairlead looks like it will chop your rope with enough weight. Maybe take a look at the OG Trail Mater and see how he built the part he uses in same area as your fairlead. I know there is some kind of pulley. That will also help with movement and no friction. Just a thought. Have fun boys. Keep up the good work.

I would have used the car lift and a chain to lift the wrecker boom up, then push the mini wrecker underneath and no long term spinal issues.

Love the laser cut side plates on the boom. I suggest at least a pulley at the end of the boom, the fairlead will slice right through your synthetic winch line. Rollers down by the winch is a good idea as well. I love the ending when you picked up Caleb as he was squirming like a fish!
Cut a hole in the headache rack down tube with a chain keyhole slot and store the extra chain inside the down tube. Like the safety chains on a tow truck or Zach Lift aka Casey LaDelle

Remember the bet Caleb made with Hunter? The paddle tires that Caleb used on his Jeep at this year's Off Road Games. I was wondering back then what the Peck Brothers would do with those paddle tires. Maybe Alex would have modified his dirt bike with them, lol!

adding a roller to the boom would double the winchs pulling power, the fairlead isnt enough
Hey peck bros. Just an idea for the boom support. Instead of using chains to hold the boom steady because it will still snap back and forth. Use some square tubing that pivots on each side with one sliding in another one on each side with a pin in each one with a couple of grease zirks so it'll slide freely when need-be but also be in a fixed position so you don't have to worry about chains snapping.

make sure you also have some tension pulling the boom down. How it's currently set up, if you brake real hard or go down a steep hill, the boom will pivot upwards towards the cab

The boom looks awesome! We've been talking with Allen at Yankum ropes about a fairlead option for ours that would probably work for you also.
The truck looks awesome and is coming along great. You need to do away with that Fair lead on the end of the boom though and use a proper Pulley or Snatch Block.

The laser cut part you guys welded on should light up and be blinkers and strobe lights the “mini truck” lol is coming out awesome
For the boom extension. Use another winch, just have the rope coming out of the top and bottom of the winch and hook both to the boom. That’ll let you run it in and out, or spin off of this idea lol
Great design for adding strength to the headache rack! But it needs more bracing to the frame.
Love the progress. Add some laser gussets with the "P" cut in them between the headache and the braces!
That thing is gonna be so sick on the trails with the jeeps! And I love the little dirt bike content slowly trickling in, even if it's just to pick up for now lol hope to see some riding in the future! Just got myself my first bike in over 10 years and I can't wait to ride again!

What about using 1/2” binder for that adjustable chain support. Cut the hooks off and use d rings to connect them.

You guys should try a pulley instead of that little front winch plate, that the line is pivoting on there, that’ll be a stress point for the line and a pulley would double your pulling power! Beautiful work. But you're going to need a roller all the way across the bottom of your fairlead, the rope or cable is just going to drag across Out and in. That thing is awesome.
You need to put a roller at the end of the boom because the fairlead will cause the cable to break with so much weight on the cable.
