Your Aftersun video was recommended to me and I absolutely loved it! Now, I'm on a binge of your videos. And yeah, I 100% agree with this video. I tell people to watch Pearl because of how well they showed Pearl's descent into madness, and the visuals are pretty good as well. Not to mention, Mia Goth's performance is just 👌🏼 so you can imagine how pissed I was when she was snubbed by the Oscars 😅

I have to be honest as much as the performances were incredible this is a film that serves no purpose and should not have been made. It's just a massive, dark cloud and sick journey. I hated watching it and hated myself for sitting through it. It put me in a really bad mood. Big fat no.
Honestly, I get it. As you said this is no more than the dark journey of one character, if you don't care about her, I can see how the whole movie would feel underwhelming.

I also hated the lead character and the loopy way it was filmed. Like, oh isn't she just silly, uh oh she's a psychopathic killer because she can't have the spotlight she thinks she needs to exist.
