You are one lucky bastard! So far... a week for me. Just finished the game a second time (85 total hours). And I hope it's enough!!! I need a break from this shit, fuck. Emotional cataclysm - the game!
Hehe, is not like GTA, when You shoot to the car tires, the air doesn't come out... When I was browsing the Internet for the premiere of Cyberpunk, it occurred to me that it was over, that people stopped thinking for themselves, that they stopped listening to themselves, to the voice of their hearts. There was a great trend of hating cyberpunk and 99% of the gaming community started copying the opinions of others like sheep, because if everyone thinks so, it must be so? They didn't even give the game a chance, because it doesn't even have the right to be good. While playing the game, I felt in opposition to the whole world (as I often do) Great game (although there were problems). I'm glad that the game is back in favor now after the expansion. A great game, an adventure, it's the first production (and I've been playing for 25 years) that really had an impact on my real life, it made me think about my life too, especially after the new ending with Reed. People who only see bugs in this game have missed out on a wonderful journey into one of the best stories ever.
@@Cezarygon no because cyberpunk is better than all of rockstars games 😂 except for red dead redemption 2, that's the only game that can match cyberpunk and cyberpunk is the only game that can match red dead redemption 2. Arthur and V are the best gaming characters 😢
Well, I know the ending hurts, but it is supposed to be like that, You always hear Night City is a city of dreams and hopes, a place where you can become a legend, but those are just empty promises. The city only takes from you, not the other way around and that's the point of the game. In my opinion the ending reinforces that or rather makes you think about how much the character you become so attached to lost because of it which is why it hits so hard. The only other game which left such an impact for me was Beyond: Two Souls.
Temperance Ending Spoiler Warning I never saw Johnny so mellow and quiet after V was gone. Johnny received a second chance but seemed lifeless. I also was surprised to see Rogue disgusted at Johnny at the end credits. She cared more for V then I realized. I knew Panam would be angry, that was a given. Like him I felt broken at the end. What could Johnny possibly say to to all the people V helped? How could he express his own sadness when ultimately, V died because of the chip. “I’m scared for you V” (Johnny Silverhand 2077). A mercenary and a rebel both tried to protect one another but succumbed to the amalgamation of humanity. Game of the year in my book.
Johnny isn't lifeless IMO. He's changed. Sobered up. He finally learned that final lesson about Night City: You can't save this place, you can only save yourself. That's why he's doing the small gestures of kindness, and why he leaves to live that second life V sacrificed everything to give him - wasting it would be the ultimate betrayal. In a sense, both Johnny and V ultimately learned to let go in that end.
@@magni5648 if you choose the option for V to stay alive, you can asking "why aren't you defending yourself" and Johnny literally says "you know V, you have taught me that sometimes it's better to let go of things."
V didn't die. If V is a cyberspace construct or engram or whatever Mr. Blue Eyes could give V a body to work with. All those people with permanent blue eyes are AI hosts. Maybe Songbird's?
Man, I felt like total shit when I went with the mind transfer into Mikoshi ending. What really hit me hard was when V put on the necklace with the bullet just before going under. Made me realize the choice I made was fucked, going against Jackie and Johnny's principles, and honestly, V's own principles too.
This game has no "good" endings just bittersweet and awful i liked this ending where v gives Johnny his body its nice to see how much he has grown if I were to do it again I wouldn't do any romance kinda wish Johnny let Judy know what happened because ghosting her was just.... not nice ill say
@@ainsleyhariott4353 yeaaaah totally this. Like V gave him her/his body, he could atleast clear things up to Vs closed ones. Wtf dude. After all that Johnny still a prick.
@@Aktobe35 I see why he didn't because well you see how panam reacted right let's be honest if he tried to explain what happened wouldn't be surprised if they punched Johnny for "tricking" V into giving the body even tho the truth is well V gave it willingly nobody would believe it
@@ainsleyhariott4353 yeah. I can't in good faith give my body to Johnny after romancing a character. That would be a betrayal my V couldn't bear to do to someone. My V would take a bullet for Johnny, but letting Johnny take V's place isn't the same. I feel Johnny ghosting is a dick move but it is probably because he knows there is nothing he can say that won't likely result in V's loved one killing him (well, Panam would for sure, Judy might accept things and i have no clue about River. Kerry might be most okay with it). plus it is evident that he has himself spent weeks in mourning, even giving up smoking and his self-destructive lifestyle. i would say the Johnny ending hit me the hardest when i ran it to see what happens.
Bugs aside this games story was phenomenal. I hope CDPR continues this level of storytelling in the future and doesn't crumble to society's pressure about the Cyberpunk launch. They've created a special story that'll stay with me for awhile. Worth the seven years wait
I'm glad I trusted Arasaka at my first run, because of two things: 1.The absolutely hilarious moment when Hellman drives towards the guard and Takemura compliments him. 2. I finally get what Johnny tried to teach V the whole game
@@cake113in the end, you can still deny their deal to Secure Your Soul and live, and die on your own terms. doing that with Takemura surviving, its a gut pukch to see him frustrated that he couldn't save you. out of everyone in Arasaka, he tried to help you as a friend, not a tool.
had the dark version of this in the johnny ending and paying his respects man it hits hard man. i never thought i felt to attached with just a video game its hard to explain.
@@0subsWith0vidsChallenge Fuck him anyways, the ending he offers you is with a sadistic despot who enslaves the body of his son to preserve himself in perpetuity with the aims of cementing his dynasty in supremacy, and all you have to show for it is a traumatic V with a failed surgery, a shredded Johnny, the Mikoshi souls entrapped for Saburo's aims, and 6 months left to live, mentally crippled, while Arasaka is ascendant. Saburo is a continuation of the atrocious WW2 Japanese empire. Saved him, gave him his chance at life, what he does by holding on to the Arasaka leash is his problem. Especially after I spared his precious Oda, and he's still trying to guilt trip me.
This song hits so different after you beat the game. Even with the good ending. To get so attached to almost every character and to know that your doom is inevitable by the end of your journey just hurts.
@@cptcovid4866: Yeah, there is a possible ending where V storms Arasaka tower basically alone (just with Johnny guiding him). You can find some guides how to get it.

@@andrewcheng2113 I mean that only really makes sense he's not from 2077. Keanu is 56. (Johnny may be younger) but he did die in 2020 so he was around in the 90s. Granted this games timeline is definitely different than ours so idk. If im not mistaken Johnny is from the table top game from the 80s. Im not 100% on that though.
[SPOILERS] I think all of the endings are perfect, with all their depressing and bittersweet taste. I mean, Johnny said it best, for a happy ending, wrong city and wrong person. The endings are exactly what we all expected from Night City, nothing more, nothing less. You either leave it, get destroyed by it or get assimilated into it until your nothing but a code in a bank. But in my heart, my favourite is Nomad + Judy, and in my head I say to myself V found a way to live happily longer than these 6 months, she already did exceed everyone's expectations by surviving this long with the Relic. Because I can't bear the fact that Judy has to suffer through that.
I let Johnny take me. I only had 6 months but was able to let Johnny have a fresh start. Since Johnny was also affected by the personality clash I like to think a little of V lives on.

it's great to see people forgetting about bugs and in the comments talking about the history of the game, the experiences they had and the emotions they felt with it ... I'm in love with this game and this song omgg
Having revisited this game, again and again, I got to say, that it's a masterpiece of immersive story telling. At launch, besides the bugs, people expected GTA 5 set in the future. But those of us who played it on PC, the best, most stable version, knew that this game was a work of art! Glad that the Edgerunner Anime brought in a whole new appreciative audience.
As Panam said in the ending, that she was broken on million pieces before meeting with V, and broke into other million of pieces after, but only V reunited them in one. This game did the same to me. 3 years ago I was broken in such pieces, time was fleeing, some wounds healed but I still couldn't pull myself together even realizing what should I try for new beggining, just couldn't - something was wrong. Neither advice of cool people, nor my mind, nor anything else could do a thing. Yesterday I finished the game on Nomad ending with Panam and felt completely shattered and empty. Now the feeling of emptiness slowly going away, and I begin to feel relief, sensing my pieces began to back into one. For my whole life I played many games, there were many cool, sometimes felt strong positive or sad emotions - once I even cried a little bit at the ending of one game . But I would have never imagined that the game can hit so hard. I've understood for my life many things, but only in Cyberpunk I've seen all this life themes in such incredible way with these alive characters and magnificent story. I can't even gather completely in my head such amount of themes which this game showed me in new way - what is real love, will for living, how the most heartwarming moments in life are very short and you should just enjoy them, without any sorrow, that you can't return them in future, that nomad(life) way is always road going forward - the path into future, with feeling no regrets, that if you feel yourself not on your place, you should just go somewhere else, never stop fighting for yourself and not letting the "wrong city, wrong people" slowly kill you , oh... This is more than just a game, this is the life hitting me into the very deep of my consciousness. I can't even choose words of gratitude to CDPR for what this game done for me. Days of deep thoughts of and full realizing for I've seen here only coming, but one thing I can say now for sure: CP2077, the game which changed my life.
Hearing this after getting the "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" version of The Sun for my Corpo was so fitting. (If you haven't seen the ending, there is a poignant moment in it where V briefly hears the original version in their head.) For me, that version of The Sun ending is honestly tied with The Star for best ending, serving as its mirror opposite in a sense: either V walks away from Night City free or becomes the greatest living Edgerunner in the city. Either way, V chooses to live or die on their own terms.
My cat jasper had Lukemia, was given 2 months to live, tough little b*stard stuck it out and passed away 1 month shy of a year. His favorite thing to do was sit next to me and watch the TV when i played cyberpunk so it kinda became his thing. Always loved it when the ending song came on. Havent been able to play the game since.
why all the endings are so sad and depressing... just why ... i can't be crying from real life problems and games too...however i did enjoy it so much ... guess i'll just go to sleep couple days can't take it anymore
I think the depreasing endings fit the tone of the game perfectly. The message behind the game, and its a damn good one. was to enjoy what you have when you got it. Along with showing that not everyone can get a happy ending, even if they tried so hard to get it. All you can do is do the best you can, keep fighting, and never fade away.
with 1.5 out this game now is truly a cult classic game. the story left me thinking about it for weeks. the characters and the intimacies in the interactions even non romantic are so immersive and well done the amazing authentic and unique world that the story all takes place in is just a one of a kind treat.
Finished this game a bit ago, got the "good" ending, it was bittersweet. Reloaded one of my previous autosaves, chose the Johnny option, it's saaaaaaad, and what really made it hit was hearing Judy's shaky voice during her message😭
I have never seen a game with different endings so diverse. I had to play them all. I was blown away! Truly amazing. An amazing game regardless of the bugs.
This....this fucking game right here...I have not played anything so intriguing, so emotional, so fun, so sad, in so many years....I can't explain the amount of pain and happiness this song brings me. I made it to the major leagues....and it's such a heartache. Fuck you cyberpunk 2077 but thank you so much for such a beautiful story. CD project Red have made something that truly needs all the attention of anyone who lays their eyes on it. We need more chooms. More NC legends need to play this game. If we give CD red some time for more great stuff like cyberpunk? They would give us something preem
This playing after V flies towards the Crystal Palace for another feat of insurmountable of odds to accomplish for the faintest promise of salvation at the end of it. How I simultaneously felt invincible and meaningless at the same time. It’s objectively amazing, and feels so hollow, because its the same shit on a different day and that’s all it’ll ever really be.
I wish they’d waited a year and released it with the 1.5 patch already in it. This is probably the best game I’ve ever played, but it’ll never get the recognition it deserves because it was released broken.
Got the same ending in my femV playthrough. When Judy says during the credits that for the first time in her life she actually feels happy, I seriously got a little depressed thinking what might come in the next couple of months. This song didn't help.
this is a beautiful version of the song. honestly wasn't expecting them to add a version like this of any of the songs in the game. but main am i glad they did.
Small anecdote about Cyberpunk 2077, about becoming an afterlife legend ... It is said that when Alexander the Great, at the height of his power, contemplated the size of his empire, he began to cry because there was nothing left to conquer ... When I look at the great and powerful of Night City, and also those of reality, then they have one thing in common: they are paranoid, unscrupulous, determined loners, loyalty ends with money and power. If you aim high, you have to be ready to put your goals and needs above anything and everyone else, condemned to stand alone on top of the world, or you make the mistake of making alliances in which you take the risk must be willing to accept a sacrifice (R.I.P Jackie Welles) or ultimately lose sight of it on the summit ... Well, if I choose to live, Johnny will definitely die, plus I'll either drag the Aldecaldos to death, or Rogue ... Well, being a legend in NC leaves a bland aftertaste ... It doesn't feel like a position that I belong in, that's not my world, but neither is the Aldecaldos, joining a group, assimilating, compromising, That's not me. The game reveals a lot about me in the end ... Streetkid was the perfect position for me, detached from all groups and factions, neither above nor below, always between the fronts, in the middle of the action, in the underground of a breathtaking city, socializing with all factions and layers but without affiliation ... A single contradiction and conflict, I could never fit in anywhere, subordinate myself, but always valued loyalty and interpersonal relationships, on a small scale, mind you. A modern outlaw, living by his own rules, the world gives a shit about him, he gives a shit about the world ... Fully focused on the goal of becoming a legend, surviving Johnny, it's easy to lose sight of everything else, you learn to shoot first, then to ask ... How many unsuspecting useless people have I torn apart with a fragmentation grenade and a revolver bullet to find an arm 5 meters further ... Cyberpunk 2077 is a worryingly accurate capture of our zeitgeist of modern technology, commerce, superficiality, courtesy, obsession with power and corruption and shows what I believe to be a very accurate vision of what awaits us as humanity. The freedom of choice shows you who you are ...
music is the universal language of mankind. my english sucks but you will understand my music i make like your motherlanguage, and thats what us all connect above borders and continents - stay safe my unknown brothers / sisters!
Just got my first ending.. i didn't know what to feel about this game. It was so awesome but it made me so fcking sad. I got the ending where V was in outerspace doing a mission with mr. Blue eyes. Damn. Give us the dlc now 😂
"That...one...thing that changed it all. That...one...sin that called the fall." God *******. I've always seriously loved the trailer with this song in the background...but hearing these lyrics clearly...Right in the feels. Felt emotionally bound to these lyrics instinctually...but after taking a moment to actually hear them...god ******. Hit closer to home than I thought they ever would. Hope we all can make up to those we hurt for the mistakes we've made.
Finished my first ever playthrough after getting frustrated with this games many bugs and lackluster balancing, The 2.0 patch breathed life into this game for me and i took it all the way to the Stars ending. My opinion on this game went from, decent to top 3 and it absolutely earned it.
Every ending no matter how good still had a hint of depression man. The Devil (the corporate one) is evil AF and when I had the option calling those close to me and they didn't want anything to do with me was heart wrenching. Disappointing Johnny too and seeing how the doctors treat you like shit. You really feel that. I love this game one of the best story games especially cyberpunk genre story theme. It had so much human element to it its amazing. I hope they have an expansion coming. I want to continue to be in this world.
For me this game truly proved CD Projekt Red as a great dev company. And the fact that people trash it en masse because of a few bugs just further cements that in my mind. Look past the few bugs that are for the most part aesthetic, surface level stuff, you can find a damn good game underneath. As a massive fan of Bethesda games, to CD Projekt Red are now on their level in open world game making, if not better. They've proven they can make an open world game with a main character that you imagine and influence yourself, and still make it as compelling as Witcher was with Geralt.
Some games are out there that makes the game like u are there, this game despites its all problems (bug, glitch) it has a story that made me dive deep in to it, choices matter and the songs like this just give them a true meaning, so nice job for this game :)
This has got to be one of my favorite games. This game gets you really thinking about who you are, are you a big dreamer with big plans with the iron to back it up, or a rebel against the corpos who profit off the poor and weak's broken dreams? You're dying, living two lives in the same body, and only one is going to come out on top. This engram that's taking over your brain, taking your body, is your enemy, but also, a friend. When this ghost from the past is haunting you, you see yourself within this rebel, and the rebel sees who he could have become in you. In the end, you both have the same goal, get out of each other's mind before you both die. Question is when your last opportunity comes up, and your final hour strikes, who are you? Are you the same big dreamer fulfilled? Are you willing to go out on your own terms, or crawl away with your life selling your soul to corpos? Do you prefer the quiet life, or the blaze of glory?
From offing Royce the first sign of trouble to offing myself because my V just couldn’t cope even after being a street kid. In the end night city won. “In cyberpunk you can’t save the world all you can do is save yourself”~Mike Pondsmith
Yesterday i finished cyberpunk, got the devil ending... I felt so shit when I realized what had happened,V basically sacrificed everything and everyone just to live. But even after all that all she got was 6 months.Meanwhile everyone is disappointed at her because she betrayed Jackie, Johnny and even herself by siding with arasaka. And from what I saw,I believe Hanako knew that could happen all along and made V that offer. She first saw V as a threat, but after they talked in that apartment, she knew she could use her.Hanako knew all along about the engram of her father and Yorinobu probably knew that too.Yorinobu was always against his father and what he standed for and wanted to stop him.But he probably knew that this could happen thats why he appears as a control freak.Increasing security, trying to keep everything under control.Because he knows that even though he killed his father,he did not erase him completely.Hanako also knows of all this and wants to resurrect her father. But she knows she cant win against Yorinobu. Then she sees what V is capable of and what her condition is .So she calls her into the corp knowing Yorinobu will attack when he gets wind of them.He then attacks, but V counter attacks defeating him.But if you notice,Hanako asks you to keep Yorinobu alive. And when you find him and he surrenders,Hanako prompts you to instantly leave them alone.Well we know that Hanako is no fighter, but during the mission there are soldiers helping you who are with Hanakos side.See where im getting at?If not,see this:when you wake up at the space station and after a few days, you see on the news that Yorinobu "donated" his body to his father.Yorinobu hated his father so much that he formed a gang against him and even killed him.I cant imagine any scenario where he would willingly do anything like this. And you also see on the news that his father has the exact same attitude he always had, meaning that he didnt probably "change" or something for Yorinobu.I really liked this thought, because the way I see it, Yorinobu is the necessary evil to keep the things in check,to keep the devil out...
Yorinobu isn't a "necessary evil", he's straight up the good guy in a sense. His goal has always been to burn down Arasaka. He just went back after 2023 and played at reconciliation with Saburo because he realised that he could only ever achieve that from the inside.
Bugs aside, I think we can all agree that this game is a fucking masterpiece. The soundtracks and the story resonance so well with each other and the story itself is breathtaking, the endings left me emotional and empty and I've done multiple playthrough and get all of the endings. Even the bad endings is powerful and impactful and were done well to conclude the journey of V and Johnny. I'm playing this on base ps4 and I still get to enjoy it, just imagine if the game isn't half-assed. But at the end of the day we ourselves are partly to blame for cyberpunk's messy launch because we couldn't be more patient for the game's release. Remember when ya'll were sending death threats to the devs at cdpr for delaying the game and threatening them to release the game sooner? Look how that turned out
Beautifully bittersweet song to go with that paranoid puzzle cube of an ending (refuse to sign with corpo-Satan or trust Johnny after a non-lethal run for bonus melancholy jollies).

“It’s just... I’m scared for ya V.”
I'm glad I trusted Arasaka at my first run, because of two things:
1.The absolutely hilarious moment when Hellman drives towards the guard and Takemura compliments him.
2. I finally get what Johnny tried to teach V the whole game
What, that Arasaka is a bunch of complete a-holes?
@@IshgarSeth No. That dying on your own terms is better than living on their terms

I think all of the endings are perfect, with all their depressing and bittersweet taste.

Goddamn. You could feel how scared V was as they walked towards that damned mind transfer machine.
Cyberpunk is a story about mental illness and how one copes with it and struggles on through life, even those wishing to live.
This track has absolutely magical effect of transferring you into vibe of melancholy.
Listening to this everyday for 2 months now. Such a game. Such a soundtrack.
We need to get this in the top 100 guy
Days of deep thoughts of and full realizing for I've seen here only coming, but one thing I can say now for sure:
CP2077, the game which changed my life.
The depression from the ending of the game I got and this song at the end hit me so damn hard.

Not gonna lie, I almost cried in every ending possible/available in this game

Uncontrollable chills every time.
