While I don't care much for a few of these games, I gotta shoot it my appreciation of shooting it the Knack series. Both games are honestly worth a play but 2 is definitely an improvement over one in almost every way.

Metro Exodus, The Ascent, Stranded Deep, Guardians of the Galaxy, Stray, The Forest, Days Gone, Sleeping Dogs, Alien Isolation, Some more AA games that are usually pretty cheap and on sale that I can think of off the top of my head.
Asterigos: Curse of the Stars is heavily underrated. It's one of the few games I went through without a walkthrough because there aren't much videos on it. Maybe there is now.
Prey is always my first answer when asked about underrated gems. Easily my favorite Arkane game. It's probably my favorite game of the entire im-sim genre.
Agreed. Now that everyone is conditioned to applaud less after years of being beaten down by shitty games with no substance, a rerelease of The Order would suck heaps of people in.
@@jacobjester4761that’s not it at all. The game was reportedly about 6 hours long, almost zero replay value and it was sold as full price game. That was the reason why it bombed. It didn’t have anything to do with Bloodbourne.
@@brandonjones5879Was closer to 4 hours of actual gameplay if the forced slowed down sections as well as the long ass chapter cutscenes filler were removed
Good list, some suggestions were pretty spot on and I loved the No.1 choice. Blacktail is a great game and I'd recommend it to anyone who wish to try a first person game without guns. I just wished they'd add some kind of locational damage system for more combat depth, like headshots do 3x damage or something. I'd really recommend giving Godfall a taste. It's combat is akin to God of War 2018 but with some deeper mechanics (weakpoints, ailments, overhealth, etc.) and a very fluid feeling. The game had a bad launch and the devs put the AAA pricetag on it, which was wrong. Nowadays, you can find it for 5-7$ and it's definitely worth it for 40h+ of awesome hack'n'slash gameplay!
A little unknown Nintendo Switch game that consumed my life for a month : DARKWOOD. It is an indie that absolutely deserves your love and time. It's also on Steam so don't miss it. Sheer Terror. Incredible Stress. Goofs and Laughs. And more. 😂
Blacktail is the only one I hadn't heard of and it looks amazing! I'm definitely going to have to give it a go since there's quite a few on this list I really enjoyed
Plaguetale is a super game. Not to mention that the interface is superb. Clean, well balanced, descriptive but not wordy. Really nice game. Control is a super game. I got it for free on Epic Games and I liked it so much that I bought it on STEAM (dlc included) :D
Before I look at the video, I want to comment my game. The Order 1886. I love that game and while it ends on the worst cliffhanger in media history, that game was awesome and fun.
Interesting to see 3 Spiders games on this list, feels like an underrated developer. I've only played one of their games, might be time to check out the rest. Also, loved the Surge series
This is such a great list, with the exception of Shadowfall. I’d probably change that for Neo TWEWY or Homefront: The Revolution. But everything else was perfect!
It's fucking garbage. Please don't give us a sequel of that stupid shit. It's the most conventional, safe, zombie experience you could ever have and the noise mechanic it introduces barely even works properly. No zombie game will ever reach the height of Dead Rising cause they're too cowardly to do something different
@@DrClownPhDwow just clicked your profile and found out you just go everywhere trying to bash days gone as much as you can lol. Have nothing more to say with the low life of someone like you
When the Playstation community harp on about how good Days Gone is I don't think that qualifies as underrated exactly. Is it because IGN gave it a 6 or something?
Resogun is excellent on PlayStation. Housemarque's Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition is so underrated on PlayStation. It has bugs on Cloud but if you buy the game and install it will run fine. Hope that helps!
Spiders not only made Greedfall and Bound by Flame, they also made The Technomancer. The Technomancer is also a sequel to a game they made on the Xbox 360 called Mars Logs. And Mars Logs is backwards compatible on Xbox Series X/S. The team that made The Council, Big Bad Wolf, also made Vampire the Masquerade: Swansong, Embracer Group just suddenly closed Piranha Bytes a few months ago. (Their last game was Elex 2, which though buggy, is as good as Elex) And The team that made The Surge, Deck 13, made the original Lords of the Fallen, game, and put out a new game last year called Atlas Fallen. Atlas Fallen is on Gamepass right now.
I love pb and spiders. elex 2 is sadly only superior to elex 1 in movement, and weapon balancing and arguably combat althrough I liked the combo system from the first game. Finished technomancer with all achievements across 3 playthroughs, but I wouldn't call it a hidden gem. It gets a bit repetitive as there aren't actually many locations in the game. And I literally finished lords of the fallen 2014 today. I managed toll kill the final boss in a single hit before he could even change the arena lol. I had fun with it.
Fyi the new Atlas Fallen has gone through a cyperpunk 2.1 redo and is all the better for it. Deserves more attention. Got lost in ‘24 when good games dropped every week
I played and liked a lot of these games. If we were going FURTHER back one game I wish more people played was Breakdown by Namco on the Xbox. It was a First Person action adventure game, that I loved as a kid. For the first time I really felt immersed in a First person game. You had to eat/drink to restore health and it showed your eating/drinking. For the first time in a first person game I didn't feel like a guy permanently locked in a 'hold the gun' pose. While I feel a lot of fat could have been trimmed down from the game and there were few plot holes, the overall game experience still stands to me, and in my experience, still too few people have played.
Code Vein and Enslaved, yes. I love both. Can't even say why they were so memorable for me. Still waiting for Code Vein 2. But the one I want to see continued the most is Days Gone. It's a crime there is no sequel.
Interesting games you have here. I have played Mad Max. Great game. A bit of repetitive and small though. I wish it was bigger. I'm interested about, The Technomancer, Enslaved, Bound by Fire and Elex. A Plague Tale seems like a really good game. That's how you make a strong female character. Not by giving her unexplainable strength to fight every opponent but making her outsmart their enemies in various ways. Also, the fact that se is trying to help her little brother is a plus. 👍
Elex: can't recommend this enough. Played through it 3 times in a row. great game. The Technomancer: cool setting and I liked how the classes/skill trees are all very distinct. Buuuut the game becomes very repetitive, making you backtrack to the same location a billion times. It can get a bit tiring. I'm going to play all games from the dev eventually though as I tend to really appreciate AA rpgs.
Deliver Us The Moon was definitely a memorable experience. I wound up platinuming it. I heard conflicting things about its sequel, Deliver Us Mars. I took the plunge anyway and man... the story there was pretty unforgettable as well. Tense, bleak... but with a surge of promise, hope, and dark intrigue at the end. I'd love to see a third game... provided they fix the character models. As strong as the story was, Deliver Us Mars had some pretty sketchy character renderings 😂
I'm very happy to see Code Vein in this list, damn I enjoyed it much more than I tought. First of all, if you play it without companion it's damn challenging, especially the bosses! Plus, it has a very good gameplay, imho among the soulslike games it is only second to Nioh
