I got that glitch... In lava reef act 2 💀💀 Then in the hidden palace end transition I got softlocked and had to restart, the game went back to LRZ2 and I got my super emeralds again
Lava Reef did that to me too. I had all 14 emeralds, beat Act 1, and then they were gone lol. I had to quit and reload and thankfully it brought them back. Scary glitch though. It shouldn't be there, and I don't know if they've patched it out yet.
@@TURBOXLR Right. In the end, at least we've got Sonic 3 AIR. The origins port suffices for those on console, but like Sonic Adventure, PC version with mods is best way to go sadly. It's frustrating that Sega rushed Origins out the way they did.
So glad this didn't happen to me. I wonder what triggers it. I've heard a few reports of it happening, always in S3&K but sometimes in different spots. I wonder what might have happened if you had save-scummed as soon as you noticed you couldn't turn super by quiting to the main menu and then loading the title screen for S3&K? I have done that a few times when I died, pausing before it loads the checkpoint and quitting to the menu lets you load the previous save when you reached the checkpoint with all your rings and stuff intact. I wonder if that might have saved your emeralds or if they were already borked as soon as it saved at the start of the act?

Let me tell you what happened: Sonic Origins made Chaos Emeralds into NFT's. Which means, when you get the emeralds, you don't actually get the emeralds, you get TEMPORARY RIGHT to use them for SHORT TIME. Seriously Sonic Origins is worse than Sonic 06 and whoever forced this game to come out this way should be forced to have their future medical treatments be done with the same half-assery...

Yeah months on now and I don't think it has been patched. Thankfully it ain't game breaking as you said.
