don’t worry about using multiple packs, most of it is replaceable with other packs once you download the lot, and it makes for so much more interesting builds

OG worker here. The pasta’s actually made in-house ahead of time. We pre-cook it in the morning and keep it in an ice bath and cook it in boiling water to order.
I miss working at Olive Garden but the one near me doesn't do rehires and even if it did, the managers refused to acknowledge my hard work. 🙃 I miss the money I'd make in To Go though!
As an Italian, regular supermarket pasta but cooked at the moment is perfect, I'm not saying it's a bad restaurant or anything because I've never been there. We just don't like the idea of Olive Garden because most of the things it sells aren't actual Italian dishes, they're only Italian-American inspired maybe. And also it seems too specific, Olive Garden seems inspired only by central and southern Italy (because of the building style and the name, they're the only places that have olives) so I doubt it has any northern dishes but I might be wrong. Like I don't think it sells polenta (cornmeal), ham, veal, vegetable soup, pumpkin risotto etc...

It’s very Americanized, and imo the quality has gone down over the years. If you ever get a chance to go, asking for alfredo dipping sauce for the breadsticks. Idk what it is about a cup of alfredo and those breadsticks but man is it the star of the show.

the fact that to this day the sims team still hasn’t even attempted to fix dine out and STILL thought they had the ability to take on a whole wedding pack is astonishing to me. Merging the two packs together in a vid is both nightmarish and amazing lol
i'm italian and i was following you and seeing your videos for a looong time. I won't stop now. I struggle a lot to build a decent "american look like " house so I won't blame you if your restaurant will be too american, like I suppose "olive garden" actually is. I think that, although is thought as an Italian restaurant, is for american people who fancy to have dinner in a pleasant italian atmosphere, but you're in US, so they have to melt the tastes of two cultures to meet the customer's ones. I've used Dine Out a couple times recently and it seemed to work really well, I only had to wait a little while for the waiter, my sims didn't wander the restaurant at all, no random sims sat at their table. It feels like it might have been fixed?
How about the usually multiple hours long wait from when you order food to when it gets to the table? I would be so excited if DO works better now and the sims don’t have to be at the restaurant for 5 hours
The “date corner” to me is soooo realistic. Like I live by a restaurant that has a date corner and have been to many restaurants that have a date corner. So it’s actually a really cute detail in my eyes. :)

Ravasheen has a mod to recover gallery lots that had mannequins but it's still just a temporary fix. As far as I'm aware it's just to be able to rescue the lots without the game crashing.
So I went to an Olive garden, very far from my house. And the landscaping WAS BEAUTIFUL! It had so many colors. It looked like a vineyard sorta. I loved it sm. Sadly I didn't take any pictures, I wish I did.

I LOVE OLIVE GARDEN 😤 their soup is really made very morning! My friend worked there and she said it was always a pain in the ass but it was made every day. Also good tip: their salad is assembled by table so the lettuce, croutons, tomatoes, peppers, etc are all separated, so if u ask for no tomatoes it actually isn’t a hassle
I don't think I have ever seen a two-story Olive Garden around here, but this is really cool! I actually had lunch at an OG with a friend relatively (lol) recently, so this was kind of fun timing!
As an Olive Garden Culinary Professional (aka chef) I would like to say I absolutely adore it 😭 You got the vibe absolutely fabulous. I semi wish we had a second floor that wasn’t an attic so we could have more space. One thing though, if I had a kitchen that small, I’d absolutely cry 😂 30 people in that kitchen would make me lose my mind. The kitchen is actually 40% of the building 😂

I tried EVERYTHING (side note: so far, it works as a room, but not as a lot 😅 ). but it never crossed my mind, that it is related to the mannequin on the lot.... this really made my day, thanks

I have been having the hardest years I've been through so far, what with the pandemic, my new diagnoses, my surgery, leaving college, and to top it off, getting dumped. Lol. But your daily videos have been giving me something that I know will make me feel a little better to look forward to daily and I really really appreciate it. So thank you for doing everything you do.
You know, I don't hope for *more* kits but we're probably getting them anyways. Since Kayla mentions how she wants more fairy lights type items in build mode, what about a kit designed around the children and teens of the gameplay and build? I think it would be the perfect opportunity to add more string/fairy lights.
Our local Olive Garden is weirdly fancy. Like it's up on a giant hill and everything. Like super extra for a dang Olive Garden. (Also listen I love me some unlimited bread sticks and a giant plate of pasta so no shade to Olive Garden tbh)
If you add a retail lot into your game as “residential” and THEN change it as retail after placing the lot in build mode, it won’t crash your game with the mannequins. At least for me.

Hi Kayla! Firstly, genius idea! Secondly, how long has the mannequin glitch been going on? Kelsey Dangerous was able to download a castle with a mannequin in it for her Rags to Richhes challenge a few months ago. She didn't put it there after the fact because she (and all of us) were like why is this weird mannequin here in this castle? She had trouble deleting it- maybe related to the glitch?- but was eventually able to do so. Anyway, thanks for making our Sims' pre-prom and post-graduation dreams come true!

Since Kayla mentions how she wants more fairy lights type items in build mode, what about a kit designed around the children and teens of the gameplay and build? I think it would be the perfect opportunity to add more string/fairy lights.

Our local Olive Garden is weirdly fancy. Like it's up on a giant hill and everything. Like super extra for a dang Olive Garden. (Also listen I love me some unlimited bread sticks and a giant plate of pasta so no shade to Olive Garden tbh)

If you add a retail lot into your game as “residential” and THEN change it as retail after placing the lot in build mode, it won’t crash your game with the mannequins. At least for me.

Hi Kayla! Firstly, genius idea! Secondly, how long has the mannequin glitch been going on? Kelsey Dangerous was able to download a castle with a mannequin in it for her Rags to Richhes challenge a few months ago. She didn't put it there after the fact because she (and all of us) were like why is this weird mannequin here in this castle? She had trouble deleting it- maybe related to the glitch?- but was eventually able to do so. Anyway, thanks for making our Sims' pre-prom and post-graduation dreams come true!
