I was born in Cholon, district 5, during the war. I visited my birthplace again in the 90s. I still have family in small village south of Saigon. I visited Hue & Da Lat on my trip. I wish I could go back & live in South Vietnam for a few years but am a family caregiver in BC, Canada & can't go back for awhile.
The alley strolls are great aerobic exercise. Looking forward to the vlogs in Danang, Hỏi Ăn and Huế. Something we’d love to see from America is you trying and commenting on each of those region’s specialty food. Greetings from California-we miss our time in Vietnam and find your videos delightful!
Have fun and safe travels honey. I look forward to seeing all the content. Are you flying or will you be traveling by bus? Interesting River view. Looks a bit nasty. Yeah a clean River would be ideal. Loving your cat sounds. Cat has his own video channel...lol. 11:33am
As I heard the gentleman replied is Nhot’, which means engine oil from the motorbike which someone just discarded the old oil into the sewer. Also, a shop has the phrase called com trua which means lunch. Com is cooked rice, trua means noon. Vietnamese often have rice for lunch and dinner. That's why they call lunch is com trua.
Sup Tyler, love the Sheisty start, my son and I saw him last year , havent commented in a while as ive been Indy-Alley Jonesing with ya on my tv lately. Would absolutely enjoy breaking bread with you and the Amazing Trang when my kids and I come to Vietnam either next March (preferably) or June.
Thank you very much see you news videos into sai gon city circle around The City more I Live in there never been hopefully looking Sai gon city Thanks Tyler God bless you in Vietnam.👏👏👏👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍🇺🇸🇻🇳
So excited for your next vlogs! I want to see more food, a few grocery stores and markets and some interesting sights in Vietnam ❤🎉 So happy with your decision to explore!!
Hoi An, they have this famous Mi vang where a very old well 's water to make egg noodle was drawn from, and Hoi An has a beach very few utubers knew off , some good contend for you to film
Mate, I think Hoi An is one of the best places on earth to go to. I spent a few weeks there during my South East Asia backpacking trek in 2005, right after having visited Laos and needing a bit of a detox from all those “happy pizzas”. It was glorious! Got used to waking up at 4am, cycling or walking to the beach with the locals, having a swim, coming back to town stopping for a couple of bowls of Pho or Bahn mi. And then just lazing around, meeting locals, walking around, having great coffee and food throughout the day. It was the perfect holiday within a holiday. Maybe it’s not the same anymore maybe it is. There’s some great food in Hoi An and Hue you should review for us. I found the locals in Hoi An to be some of the friendliest, engaging people (especially girls) of anywhere in Vietnam, Laos or Thailand. Not after your money just wanting to know you and learn English. It was the best!
Enjoy your trip to Da Nang/Hoi An Tyler. There’s a famous market we went, sorry I don’t know the name. We went up a nearby mountain pass with nice views of the city, some cool nearby pagoda. Had some amazing local fresh seafood. I think there’s quite a bit to do.
The riverside near the dragon bridge is where you want to be for fun and people watching. The beach side area is beautiful during the daytime, but mostly dead at night.
I got you test your audience preferences on multiple places you take video that's wise. Also, try to film on more exotic places so the video will be more engaging and more importantly Hook video hook video till end of each video is a must.
G'day Tyler, enjoyed the vlog, Hey my son and I are finally in Saigon now for the first time, Wow such an eye opener in so many ways, so cool, we are going to DaLat and Hanoi ,we'll keep an eye out for ya, 🇦🇺🇨🇳🇺🇲
Hoi An used to be cool, but over-tourism now, but definitely worth visiting once. DaNang is one of my fav city in VN, other than DaLat. I'll be moving to PVC for the next 2 weeks, maybe I'll run into u. Btw, where do u cut ur hair around PVC? I always cut mine at "Vu Tri", but they don't have a location near PVC :(
I forgot the exact location of my barber but it's on Ngo Tat To street...I have something special I want to do for a friend that passed away a few years ago when I'm in Hoi An...I'll explain more in a later video
Bro. I like your content. Not a lot of people video the local scene such as walking around the neighborhood alley way. Kinda missed the everyday local life.
I wish Asian countries took more pride in keeping their countries cleaner. Apart from Singapore and central Hong Kong, the other places are strewn with rubbish.
8:21 looks like someone off-ed a chicken or a duck for their food requirements… I used to live next to Vietnamese neighbours who kept live ducks in a cage every now and then and you’d see them one day and gone the next …
I thought you were going to say you were going to marry a girl that likes you for your USA citizenship. I prefer nha trang, Danang has a lot of scary people
@@BigTimeBentley , parapluie. Quitte difficult to say for non French speakers because of the r and the double vowels ui, which are a different sound from oui, which you know means yes. Sorry about my ranting, it's the teacher in me.

If you ever get lost in saigon street alley, just turn on Bentley’s show for directions. Lol
Haha yes!
A little outside of Hue, but it's amazing! Vedana Lagoon Resort & Spa Hue

i love your videos. when you were walking through the alley where you saw what you thought is blood is motor oil
Wait for me . I will join u!😅😅
Noon-oh-five guess for the time.
the red liquid puddle on the road was motor oil. I heard him (the man) said that
@@angquangbinh7419 thank you

I have idea go to different districts and market to film markets in all districts the lager ones

Travelling increases happy hormones naturally.
He said “nhớt” which is engine oil

Is the trip by motorbike or airplane?
airplane
I wish Asian countries took more pride in keeping their countries cleaner. Apart from Singapore and central Hong Kong, the other places are strewn with rubbish.
Can do travel videos for “How to spend a good morning/afternoon/night in Hoi An?” as some travellers only have half free day. Nhớt = petrol oil.
Great suggestion!
High noon?

Where r u??
That's men said is car oil😢
Tyler, are you beginning to dream in Vietnamese?
rarely but it does happen
