    I'm glad someone still makes serviceable pedals.

    In regards to the rusted axle of the one pedal, I've found either a soak in distilled vinegar followed by scrubbing with a wire brush or a light rub with fine 300 or 400 grit sand paper to remove the rust then a quick metal polish works very well.

    I don't even have Crank Bro pedals, yet I enjoyed watching. Any similar video for LOOK Keo pedals would be appreciated

    Also if your old flathead dust caps are still okay, I recommend you use them again as the hex ones strip very easy because they are very shallow
    I speak from past experience

    Thank you, that was so useful. It was even better than the one from CB. Also, i hope your shoe model was allowed to leave after his segment haha

    Hello Park Tool guys ,
    There was a needle bearing at the very beginning , but after removed it’s replaced by a bushing only . Just wonder why don’t Crank Bros provide another needle bearing in the refresh kit , or why don’t you guys use another needle bearing instead of that bushing ? Is there any difference between needle bearing and that bushing ?
    And if possible , would you mind let me know the diameter of the bearing removal tool please ?
    Thank you so much .

    I use Candys but find it easier to get some off ebay rather than go through this rebuild. Shimano mtb pedals seem much quicker to service.

    hey there park tool buddies. i have a question which has nothing to do with this but ill ask here since you might not notice it on the video that it belongs.
    so i had to true my KCNC kasditor rotor, i think i did it right, but it uses an alloy spider, and now it crackles a bit when i touch the rotor even with my fingers my guess is that the crackle comes from the spider, so my question is if theres any chance to repair that? like tightening the spider or something or is it a sign that the rotor willl soon die?
    hoping for an answer, ty very much

      If there is a "crackle" noise, it is likely there is damage to the spider, and the rotor and spider are no longer properly attached. Do not use this rotor. Replace it before riding.

    The old Enduro bearing in my [Stamp] pedal fell apart, leaving the outer sleeve of the bearing in the pedal. What tool/technique should I use to extract it?

    Hi I have another problem ... externally the 4 wings of the pedal have an oscillation as if the central spring could no longer hold them still do you know how to help me? Thanks

    Has anyone else noticed Crankbrother has stopped supplying an actual bearing on the inside of the pedal and started using a bush. They now only supply the needle bearing on their 11 models. Watching this video they removed the needle bearing and replaced it with a bush which really is a downgrade.

    @park tool, what grease are you using in this video? I use park tool grease but it is green in color.

    • @parktool
      @parktool  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The grease we used in the video is the HPG-1. It is a higher performance grease better suited for dynamic applications.

    Such an overcomplicated design. I see so much of this, and even though this video is 4 years old, that trend is very much standing today as well. That's why I chose OneUp Components, because the design is simple and effective, and the rebuild kit is affordable, and a full rebuild is super quick and easy.

    buy shimano pedals, maintenance interval is every 10 years lol

  • @irvanasnel7508
    @irvanasnel7508 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Shimano pedal system much more superior in long term performance and has much cheaper maintenance cost and easier maintenance technic.
