      great airline, their only challenge for me is they fly from Gatwick and Luton. Gatwick seems to take for ever to get out of (runway congestion) and Luton is a pain to get to with the train/bus link

    • @JTsJourneys

  • @MrChiptatum

    I flew to turkey in September flight was late taking off from Gatwick and there was duty free on board but no food was served only drinks. It is unfair that you have to buy drinks from duty free or on board where a cup of tea is 3 pounds. The flight coming back from turkey was slightly early which shows that the turkish aviation and Airport are more efficient in every way.

    I have just flown with easyJet, I was confident that everyone would be waiting a mask. The drinks trolley came around twice and most people removed masks for half an hour each time as they sipped their drinks. People walking around plane without masks on and flight attendants said nothing. Flight attendants constantly fidgeting with there masks and never saw one of them use a hand sanitiser and I was in the front row. Why people can’t eat proper food before they get on a plane amazes me

    • @JTsJourneys
      @JTsJourneys  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The few flights i've been on recently FAs generally seem to take masks off when in the galley area, i think most people are just viewing these as a 'should do' and an inconvenience.

    Thank you for making this. I am thinking of going to see my elderly Dad but I am very frightened of flying in "the new abnormal". How strict are they at the airport with face masks? Would face coverings like a buff do?

    • @JTsJourneys
      @JTsJourneys  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn’t see anyone policing their use in the airport, but most people adjusted to wearing them whilst walking around the terminal. When sat down in the departure lounge I saw plenty of people remove their masks so they could eat and drink and most people kept well apart whilst seated. On the aircraft the policy was strictly enforced, with anyone removing their mask spoken to and asked to keep it on if they weren’t drinking or eating. A buff would certainly meet the requirement of a face covering, might get a bit warm though after a few hours !

    couple of strange things with the man taking your phone to check you in after rubbing his face before he touched it and then handed it back to you and also the ignorant passenger with his mask down on his mobile phone inside the plane

    • @JTsJourneys
      @JTsJourneys  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey :) the cut away to the check in guy with my phone is from last year, just to try and show the differences between flying now vs before the world fell apart. Totally agree about the guy with the phone a) taking a call on a plane is a no no, b) mask off to speak?

    Dirty seat in front of you and tissue in the seat pocket....not good signs from easyjet. Shouldn't be anything like that now with these super deep cleans between flights that they've been telling everyone about. A dirty tissue in your seat pocket is poor during normal times... I do agree about the disembarking though, should be like that usually.

    • @JTsJourneys

      Thanks Steve, I agree, although in normal times it wouldn't bother me so much.

    The real solution for airlines is to triple the price of fares - less travelers and better profits.

    • @JTsJourneys
      @JTsJourneys  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      From the flights i've had recently, there's plenty of appetite to fly from the public. Perhaps the base fare might increase slightly to cover the additional cleaning, but in a revenue management pricing world i can't see a 3x fare increase

      Hey Daniel, I agree, on the phone or not your mask should be on (even if it makes it difficult to unlock!) the 3:32 is actually a clip from last year (I've made the colour a little washed out to indicate what traveling was like before the new measures were introduced)
