You can see and believe what he means when he says he’s always been a very shy man as he wasn’t the kind of person to write a speech ahead of time, he liked to be spontaneous just how he made his movies without a script. Indeed a perfectionist at all he did to accompany his genius. A very admirable lovable person. ❤❤❤ you can see his love for people in his films.

The more I've listen to Chaplin, the more I'm astounded of his intellectual vocabulary abilities to capture the audiences attention. Its quiet remarkable that isn't there more of him speaking on Utube?

Fascinating to hear him speak so fondly of something most British people hold dear, The National Health Service.

Knowing that Chaplin came from an extremely poor upbringing makes me look at his art and achievements with much appreciation

He was self-taught, a voracious reader of books ranging from world literature and philosophy to the “hard sciences,” and was equally gifted as a composer despite not being able to read a note of music.

It’s very moving, heartwarming to be able to see and “hear” him as ‘himself’ and watch his reaction at all the love poured at him. “There are no words to introduce him, we all know and love him” that would be Very very touching for him. I’d love to see his last 2 feature films.

One should remember the reason he was in England in 1952 in the first place, thanks to yet another overzealous and unconscionable case of provincialism from a reactionary United States government. What the US did to him wasn’t only unforgivable, it was unnecessary.
