- "Argentum" was commissioned by ClassicFM and the Royal Philharmonic Society in 2017 for ClassicFM's 25th Anniversary Concert.
The World Premiere was given 7th September 2017 by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic conducted by Michael Seal. It was then given its London premiere at the Royal Albert Hall 3rd April 2018 by the RLPO conducted by Maxime Tortelier.

A lot of Coplandesque techniques, reminding me especially of the 3rd Symphony and music from Billy the Kid.

Dani Howard it was the piece of music that inspired me to want have a career performing and conducting classical music. My H.S. band director loaned me his LP when I was in 9th grade. (1968!) One of my regrets is that I didn’t have Aaron autograph my score on either of the occasions I had a conversation with him. We do have an autographed photo from when he was rehearsing the Philly orchestra in the mid-70s.

@@DaniHoward93 Copland symphony #3 is certainly well worth hearing I'm sure you will enjoy it. Argentum is a fine piece & good to see Mike Seal conducting too.
Copland symphony #3 includes "Fanfare for the Common Man" it's a great listen. Certainly some Coplandesque hints in Argentum :-)
