Yeah, the heads too large for the bodies. Breaks the 1 to 7.5 to 8 ratio real people have, hence why you're getting the uncanny valley effect. And, of course, there's the Quanari look. Overall, another game where the art leads are failing their game.

Yes, it was so financially successful that EA pulled the plug immediately on all of it's planned DLCs and shut down the entire dev team (bioware montreal) that worked on it.
The first game was almost a baldur gate 3 game, I loved it... . @@ScarletVGaming The point of an RPG isn't to play the game as a clone of yourself. Who does that? Bioware was great. After the fiasco that is ME Andromeda, I kinda written them off. I never really gotten into DA. I think that the top surgery scars in a magical medieval fantasy world is just crazy and out of place. There's freaking magic. Also with the sliders for tits and ass being much less than what actual women's bodies are is also insane. And for some reason, the preview character builder trailer, the characters were fugly. I agree that the top scars thing is weird in terms of a world with shapeshifting magic. It doesn't bother me, per se, but I also feel it is incredibly contrived. Bioware has not been able to handle trans issues with any kind of care yet. Mass Effect Andromeda had the random NPC that immediately starts telling you that they are trans once you start talking to them and Krem in DA:I didn't feel like it fit in with what we have learned of the Qun religion up to this point. I think Baldur's Gate 3 handled it the best with a trans character as there is a legit plot reason why someone is pointed out as being trans. If the inclusion of top scars in DA:VG makes someone happy and makes them feel included, it's great that the option is at least there, I guess
Yeah honestly I think the best way to handle trans issues in a game would be to have a traditionally hot character like Morrigan and there be a subtle mention that they are trans. Not make it a big deal because after all isn't the point to "pass"?

Amazed you are "excited" for these hacks bringing back Morrigan, when I saw them trotting her out for member berry points I just groaned
Well, I totally understand the anticipation and the doubt about whether Bioware can deliver this time around. I've had the same concerns for a long time, especially after my experience with Andromeda. I even bought a PS4 just to play Andromeda, and you can imagine my disappointment-it really wasn’t all that fun. I didn’t even bother with Anthem, since by then, it was clear Bioware was on a downward spiral. But this time, I’m feeling optimistic, and I think there’s a good reason to be. I’ll start by addressing your point about the 'surgical' sign and immersion. That’s more of a personal take, really. It's an inclusive element for those it affects, but not everywhere you go in the game will feature it. So, it doesn’t necessarily break immersion as much as it adds to it for certain players. It’s not an MMO where the whole gameplay experience is transformed. Plus, as for the world-building, I understand the concern about inclusivity overshadowing quality-especially when we see it in movies or series-but for me, Sense8 was a great example of being 'woke' and still awesome. Even Bioware’s older games were ahead of their time, and they were fantastic. I don’t see a reason to worry here. It’s correlation, not causation. As for the game itself, some features do seem to be the same as when Dragon Age was first developed, but they’ve also said it looks visually spectacular in many areas. So, if some characters still look a bit rough, I can live with that. Anthem had some solid mechanics, and it looks like Bioware pulled the best elements from their past games to create something unique. Bioware today isn’t the Bioware of 2016-they’re more like a hybrid of AAA and indie, with limited resources. But it seems like they’ve prioritized wisely, and while the graphics may have some issues (which I do have a problem with), it’s not a deal-breaker. The plot, characters, and world seem to be very well thought out. From what I’ve seen and heard, there’s some hesitation in giving the game a full greenlight, and that makes sense given Bioware’s recent history. But even someone like Luke Stevens came away saying, 'Yeah, I think it’s going to be fine.' He had fun, and he understands that this game was never meant to be for everyone. I think it’s fair to say Bioware is back, but evolved. And by 'evolved,' I don’t just mean graphics or the 'woke' stuff that’s always been there. The game might feel a little more modern and even alien to older fans, but we need to accept that it’s evolving. They’re aiming to appeal to a new generation while still making something solid, and we should respect that. After all, even that older character has half the internet calling him sexy, so clearly, it’s got a wide appeal. Now, about that first trailer-honestly, I thought it was a nightmare from the start. They claimed to be listening, but they clearly weren’t. From what I’ve heard, it sounds like that was an EA decision or something from higher up, not Bioware’s vision. My guess is EA gave them the freedom to develop the game but took over marketing and, once again, messed it up. It wouldn’t be surprising but still unfortunate if that’s true. Finally, regarding the mistakes of the past-based on what people are saying and what’s been shown, it looks like they’ve addressed almost everything, even the dialogue issues. There’s more consistency, and they’ve moved away from over-relying on cutscenes. It seems they’ve done a great job on the first third of the game, and I think we can trust that the rest will be just as solid. If they were only trying to make the first part good to fool everyone, that would mean they’re pulling off an incredibly malicious scam-and I don’t think they’d risk their reputation like that. And as for the graphics-yeah, I get it. Sometimes they stick out like a sore thumb amidst all the other polished elements, almost reminding you of a mobile game. But take Warhammer 40K: Space Marine for example. It’s just as over-the-top, but because it’s dark and masculine, no one really notices or complains. Blizzard’s games are the same-they’ve got that extravagance, but no one criticizes it because it has that macho vibe. It’s frustrating to see the double standards. At the end of the day, everyone wants good games, and good games aren’t made with double standards. Warhammer 40K may not be for everyone, but it hits a lot of marks. As for Blizzard? Well, we’ve seen where they’ve ended up-and they’re certainly not in my heart anymore. Thanks.!❤
Do you even have to ask? Just look at that... thing. I don't know what that is, but it ain't dragon age. Just like BioWare is no longer that BioWare. All the people who made masterpieces like Kotor, Mass Effect, and DA:O have left the studio years ago. If we ever want to see a true "BioWare RPG" again, we need to look at studios like Archetype Entertainment (new studio of Bioware veterans such as James Ohlen, Chad Robertson, Drew Karpyshyn) and Humanoid Origin (another new studio led by Casey Hudson).

Why do they have electronic spotlights and loudspeakers in a fantasy world? It just shows a complete lack of understanding about the game world they are using....
This is Tevinter, where magic has been allowed to flourish. This is the ONE place where this sort of culture change makes sense, and this just reads as someone trying to find reasons to hate the game that don't make sense.
Top scar surgery is simply here for players who want to make the self-insert that they want. Also, if you want in-world explanations, there are surgeons in Thedas, magic is powerful but dangerous, and transgender magic is rare (see the Dorian storyline in Inquisition). Ergo, it's easier to have surgeries facilitated by small doses of magic, rather than big rituals that might work, but could also blow up in your face. And don't worry about the ass slider... There will be a mod for that. Like, on day one I think. No such thing for surgical scars, if I recall.
The thing is, we will be better of if Bioware end up selling its IP to other companies, so that Mass Effect can actually go back being Mass Effect instead of what they are trying to make Dragon Age into. This thought of support a company just so that they can make a new game for their other IP doesn't work today. It works before, but not now, when IP are being created left and right. Having a popular IP allows them to be shopped around better, we might even get multiple Mass Effects if Bioware goes away. We might actually get people that worked on Mass Effect to work on Mass Effect again, instead of all brand new developers that has never worked on it before working on the new one. Bioware is not the same Bioware as before. This is what must be understood, just because its Bioware does not mean all the people that wrote, coded and animated your favorite games are still working there, let Bioware go, so that the IP can go back to them.
I did love DA Origins and I quite liked Inquisition, but Veilguard will be nothing like them. This is going to tank so very hard it should signal the end for people using woke activists to direct how games are made. You can see the disasters piling up both in films with that agenda and in games. Investors may not care about a games quality, but they very much care about how successful it is. The recent years of agenda-driven stuff will die automatically due to the repeated crushing failures of woke-centered games and films. Hopefully we then get back to some sanity where the focus is on good gameplay, but either stupidity or over-exploitation of the customer base, is always looking for a way in. Somewhere along the line developers will return to listening to their customers - then they just might get a successful game like Larian has done. If you concentrate on making a good game above all else, you at least have a chance to make something people want to play en mass - and that can generate a ton of money.
In Inquisition the trans character of Krem was introduced as well as the fact that changing complex things like gender or sexuality requires blood magic, so it absolutely makes sense that top surgery would exist in the world. If you can suspend your disbelief for dragons that are fictional, why cant you do it for trans people who are real?
You is a pronoun if you are so scared of it don't use it. And if you don't wanna use trans scars just don't use them. You control the buttons you press

Thanks.!❤
What a well thought out post. Thank you for the kind words. Heres to hoping this game is good!
Yeah true

@@Foxillow Is that irony?
Why do they have electronic spotlights and loudspeakers in a fantasy world? It just shows a complete lack of understanding about the game world they are using....
The Tevinter magisters use magic for all that stuff. It's not Cyberpunk.
Teviniter is highly advanced country of mages, all you see are spells used for everyday convenience.
It's downfall... Let's be honest...
Downfall.
more like Dragon Age The Failguard lol
Oh geez lol
they went full woketard, this game is DOA and so is biowoke
Downfall
In Inquisition the trans character of Krem was introduced as well as the fact that changing complex things like gender or sexuality requires blood magic, so it absolutely makes sense that top surgery would exist in the world. If you can suspend your disbelief for dragons that are fictional, why cant you do it for trans people who are real?
Big breasts, slim figure, and the beauty of a real woman, why aren't they available to choose from?
downfall the characers looks ridiculous, if i wanted to play a queer , black noise game , i would play a queer black noise game, but i dont.
pronouns and trans scars??? No thank you
You is a pronoun if you are so scared of it don't use it. And if you don't wanna use trans scars just don't use them. You control the buttons you press
@@Foxillow just as i control my wallet not to indulge in any of it to begin with. Im not going to support something like this when kids are going to play it as well. Think bigger when you're gonna talk down to someone
this is you making clickbait because you want to be mad, and you want to make money off of people who also want to be mad.
You have literally no idea what clickbait means.
If they have put the boobs and the ass slider so we can make it big this will have fix something . I am not from US and i don´t care that much for all the woke shit as long as they are not over the top in game but i don´t want a flat character . As for this do be another Concord it´s really close . This is there last hope for staying open and they keep F..... things so much . Do be so over the top for cry out loud find a middle ground with you and the fans things will go better .
Yeah honestly I think a lot of people myself included would have been fine if they boob and ass slider were actually good. But it feels like they deliberately did this out of spite
The old BioWare does not exist anymore. All that is left is the name, and i think this game will be the last nail into a already buried coffin. I really hope am wrong but seeing these people involved with this game, how they behave and what they find exciting is sad to say the least. And no, i will not be picking up this game.
