I love how the music video doesn't make a lick of sense but that doesn't bother anyone bc the song is a banger. used to listen and dance to this one when i was like 6. great memories.
nice song, great singer, he makes of this song something special, I like so much listen and listen the lyric, and the video is rare but nice at the same time
I really wish to hear so much more of Erasures versions of other peoples songs! They are priceless, both in choice and performance! Pure Joy, and sincere devotion to beautiful music!
El autor original de la canción "Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)" es Steve Harley, cantante y compositor británico. The Best Years of Our Lives".
Massive early erasure fan. Fist time I've heard or seen this.. sweet fanny Adams - this is madness. But put a smile on my face. I think VC had some fun when putting the music together, and it's looks like they had fun making the video as well...
Do you know the original version? By Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel. Ways better even it's from the 70s :) No disrespect here. It's british classic. If you like it check out Mr. Raffles, Sebastian, Mr. Soft .. or better check all their albums th-cam.com/video/DeH3ST0vVYQ/w-d-xo.html :D such a great band
Still in 2018...LOL A super-crazy pun on South German (Bavarian)/Austrian stuff with garden gnomes...partially filmed at Hötorget Subway station in Stockholm/Sweden....it all makes no sense whatsoever xD
I first heard this years ago. The original version is great, but this is one of those rare instances when a cover version is far better - I love the music, and that bit in the middle is WOW!
It is station "Hötorget" in Stockholm. (the director's home town). Many features must have been digitally removed (... or the entire set is 3D, made from measurements and photos of the real thing, what do I know)
To me the whole point of this song by the original artist, was the unusual and comical sounding, intonation of his singing of the words. Only the original Steve Harley version works for me.
Yeah their arrangement was the most innovative. 1st half more accapella and strings then went full on. Way more interesting than the Wedding Presents version as well.
I love the original. Erasure is one of the greatest techo-pop artists ever, but their many covers have never really been as great as the originals, even their ABBA covers. They should stick to their brilliant originals, and let other bands cover them
I think it's a really good cover, made in their trademark style. Also love their other covers on Other People's Songs such as I Can't Help Falling In Love With You, Goodnight, etc.
Always liked the song but hated the original vocals. Didn't know Erasure had covered it until recently and it seems quite a hard song to sing but I think Andy does a better job than Steve. :)
Much as I admire Erasure but I have to say the Duranies covered this brilliantly, that's why I bought the Reflex single back in 84
RIP Steve Harley 💔 (he really liked this version)
Erasure such a fantastic couple of guys Andy bells voice phenomenal luv them to bits and always will x
I love how the music video doesn't make a lick of sense but that doesn't bother anyone bc the song is a banger. used to listen and dance to this one when i was like 6. great memories.
I cried so much listening to this, so many good childhood memories.
Brilliant cover!!’ Love erasure!!! Please come to Portugal!!!! Portugal 🇵🇹
Andy Bell is an amazing singer!!!!
They add they're own craziness 😊😊
there's nothing wrong with that. ☮️🎶✨🙃
This clip makes me happy, It really makes me smile, (I prefer the Durans version, though) but....who knows the nane of the girl in this video? Thanks
This video makes me chuckle. Unsure as to the innuendo.
This is their best video ever and they made some greats
2023 and still listening this masterpiece ❤
Erasure should headline Glastonbury, they have such a fantastic back catalogue of material and would blow the Pyramid Stage
Erasure. Do fantastic. Cover. Steve barley. Delivers. Well. Always. Superb. Band thanx
nice song, great singer, he makes of this song something special, I like so much listen and listen the lyric, and the video is rare but nice at the same time
I really wish to hear so much more of Erasures versions of other peoples songs!
They are priceless, both in choice and performance!

Erasure's accoustic version of Oh L'Amour comes as a b-side track from a single from a single from Erasure's Other People's Songs album. ♪♫

Massive early erasure fan. Fist time I've heard or seen this.. sweet fanny Adams - this is madness. But put a smile on my face. I think VC had some fun when putting the music together, and it's looks like they had fun making the video as well...
Make me 😂 smile💕♥️
There's something for everyone in this. Love it!
Mid century modern overload realness

That show was amazing ❤️
From now I'll never look at a garden dwarf the same way! :)
with benevolence this can be interpreted as a nice caricature
Rip benevolence, this is the most hilariously awful version of any song I have ever. Phoenix Nights anyone ?
Hola, me gusta mucho , mucho más. ✌
Fantastic.
I listen to this song when i get in a bad mood. Makes me smile!

Amazing version. Love it.Been dacing in my kitchen for hours with it on repeat
Wished good music like this was part of this era

Erasure kommt bitte nach Deutschland 😘😘
Absolutely love it!
Es una buena adaptación
Can't beat the original but this is a good take on it by erasure
Need more stuff like this
Even in 2020 makes no sense jajaja but still makes me ssmmmmiiiiiiilllllleeee❤
Welcome back Vince!🎬🎥🎞 A bit of shame they've both given up appearing in Erasure videos now☹
2020 👏💞
Acid trip this still makes me smile 😀 2018
Love this song their version just adds to it can tell they had a blast making this.
Crazy good
Ich liebe diesen Song so sehr

Top ⭐ Top ❤ Top 😘
Why isn't it more well known?
It's 2016... and this video still has no sense. Nevertheless, it's a masterpiece.
Video not sense but still in 2017 this song turns you to happiness
Still in 2018...LOL
A super-crazy pun on South German (Bavarian)/Austrian stuff with garden gnomes...partially filmed at Hötorget Subway station in Stockholm/Sweden....it all makes no sense whatsoever xD
If you think its a masterpiece you don't know music videos
But it Makes You Smile doesn't it?! :D
Still in 2019 .
Köstlich!!!
I have to be honest: I did not expect this.
Neither did I
Andy bell =kult!
ready for christmas 2019
I’m three years old and listening to this in 2037... Why don’t they make good music like this anymore?
What is this video about? I love the song and video all the same :)
I first heard this years ago. The original version is great, but this is one of those rare instances when a cover version is far better - I love the music, and that bit in the middle is WOW!
This is absolutely hilarious!

Cockney Rebel Erasure style!!
I do a killer "bunny hop" to this song
Hamburg U-bahn station?
What?
It is station "Hötorget" in Stockholm. (the director's home town).
Many features must have been digitally removed (... or the entire set is 3D, made from measurements and photos of the real thing, what do I know)
why this song appears in the spanish version of my name is earl and not in the english one? (with spanish version i mean the castillian one)
51 people didn't come up and smile
Duran Duran did the best version of this song. 🎵
I like Steve Harley's version the best but this is good.
To me the whole point of this song by the original artist, was the unusual and comical sounding, intonation of his singing of the words. Only the original Steve Harley version works for me.
Raise your hand if you listen this tune in 2017
I skipped that year.
En 2018 descubrí esta canción y me encanta!!
Jesus is king
Eye 👁🗨, can now see the beautiful 🐞, in the wood, through the 🎄.!!!.😏 🌟 😘 ♥.
Duran Duran did the best cover of this.
Yeah their arrangement was the most innovative. 1st half more accapella and strings then went full on. Way more interesting than the Wedding Presents version as well.
It’s not their best song but to me their average efforts are still pretty good.
Which do you think it is???
I think one of their best songs on that album is "Goodnight"
@@edgardodominguez2159 OMG! I was searching this one. I used to listen it with my father when I was a child. Thank you
👍💖💖🎹🇬🇧🥁✨👏👏
Geroge Best
The Duran Duran version is the best version.

Duran Duran’s cover is the best though.
I like this version
Wrong. The best one is by The Wedding Present
Not Steve Harley, but pretty interesting. 👍
Good cover but I prefer the original performances I have seen by Steve Harley, including the way he adds emphasis differently..
Well...can't go and see them since the vax passport thing is now in full swing...annoying but that's life eh?. Least I can still watch them on video..
Great cover, really weird video.
My name is earl bring me here
Always liked the song but hated the original vocals. Didn't know Erasure had covered it until recently and it seems quite a hard song to sing but I think Andy does a better job than Steve. :)
Simon LeBon did it best.
@@73Goodfellow oh I'll have to check it out. 😀
I love it but it's just a remake form the 70's "Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel"
And. And it’s a remake. On an album called: Other People’s Songs.
Duran Duran’s early 80’s cover was awesome.
I much prefer Duran Duran's rendition. This is just a no no.
I agree. This is horrible. I don't like the original. I wish Duran Duran had a better recording quality, because their version of the song is great.
