I love how Julius stares down the embodiment of chaos, an entity with its own realm, time and space, and the Belmont decides to throw an axe at it just to piss off the primordial being even more.
@@DruidVorse Why do you care about spoilers on a tool assisted speedrun though? I know, spoilers are bad, but whats the point of caring when you're watching a less than 10 minutes video?
@DruidVorse Then why are you even here? A TAS speedrun WILL contain some spoilers even if the dialogue isn't in this mode. Plus, Julius himself is spoiled in this video right away since his full first name and him being a Belmont isn't revealed until after beating the Balore.
This is really cool, glitch lore in the glitch ending. Idk how to write this one, it makes little sense, its as if chaos constructed this extra challenge for Julius, to finish dracula but only being able to rescue Mina, pretty interesting, its like an incomplete sequel bait ending or something, wich makes sense because this is a glitch.
So according to the submission text, after beating Chaos, Julius is warped to the room that holds Soma's ending object. Soma's ending doesn't work for Julius, so it just ends up with him in a blank empty room. The TASers then clip Julius into the boss rush (which exists in a separate part of the map from the main castle, but on the map, so it can be accessed by going OOB) and beat Graham there in order to trigger Julius's ending. Which ends up looking more like Soma's ending, presumably because of event flags and the unintended way it was triggered. It's a pretty interesting scenario, programming-wise.
Julius: Haven't had a warm-up like that since '99. Now where's the problem? Mina, as Castlevania crumbles behind her: I... think you already solved it. [Julius looks behind him] Julius: ...oh. Well. [Soma is off-screen, experiencing generational trauma from TAS Belmont shenanigans]
Hey, do you mind explaining why it's surprising? I think the TAS was cool, but I've never played AoS. I assume you mean the way he like moved by a pixel four times after hitting the Manticore Orb?
@@GuanlongX as you might know, every boss in julius mode drops an orb when they're defeated, it's supposed to be only one, and they raise julius' stats like a level up. it's possible for a human to get two out of manticore, with some clever hit placement, i believe with or without subweapon usage. but i have never seen, not even a TAS run, get not two, not three, but four orbs out of a single boss. that is huge
Yep, it's four orbs. The TAS submission comments mention a new double-orb glitch that can be done on several other bosses. They pull this off on Manticore, along with the already-known double glitch, to get 2*2 = 4 total orbs.
@@GuanlongX I believe the way it works for Manticore is that technically the tail is a separate object from the rest of the body; normally, there's logic in the main body to only drop one orb when Manticore dies, but you can glitch the game into spawning the orb for the tail also.
