The ouzo brings back memories.....when I was in grad school in '76 I rented a place from a big Greek weight lifter that ran a Greek restaurant downtown with fabulous food. He would invite me down to his place (after tossing weights around) and we would eat marvelous Greek food and toss back some ouzo. Gotta be careful with that stuff.......liquid fire!! He had the real stuff smuggled in to him from Greece......no import duty. Drank in little chalice-like glasses chased with water. True jet fuel....have not had any of it since then.....really miss those days.....thanks for the memories, Nick!
Nick could use it for race fuel for that 468 ford if he wanted too I don't know what the proof or alcohol percent is but it kinda looks like everclear and I know if you really wanted to you could use that in place of race fuel I mean people use to use moonshine so I don't see why you couldn't use it.....and either that ouzo is smooth or Nick is just an old school champ cuz he didn't shake it off one bit he swallowed it like someone taking a sip of Pepsi lol
Dare I say this, but I wish I had.a Ford project through which I could utilize that 468-it’s a beastly power plant! You folks really know how to celebrate: family, friends, delicious food, premium beverages, and horsepower. I bid you a Happy and prosperous New Year! Peace-out!
@Lumbee Warrior By George you're right, lol. I had to take a second look at the engine, and it is a small block windsor ! At first I thought it was a 429/460 block.
As a small business owner of a restoration shop I appreciate Nicks Garage because of how they run their shop and take care of the Staff. Happy New Year Guys!
Nick, I spend countless hours learning from you in your videos. My dad was a mechanic by trade in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, so I learned a lot by crawling under cars with him. There's nothing more exciting to me than a basic V8 with no electronics - carburetor, distributor, points, condenser, etc. My dream is to find a 1970 Super Bee with a 426 HEMI with dual quads for my track car. Preferrably that signature yellow from Chrysler for that year. I would love to drive my 2017 HEMI Charger to Canada and visit your shop this summer. Do you allow visitors if they're pre-arranged? It would be the biggest thrill for me to see your shop and meet the guys. I would drive all the way from Georgia for that. Look forward to hearing from you!
Just like when I was growing up looking forward to the next months Hot-Rod or Car Craft magazine I look forward to a new episode of Nick's Garage. Seeing the new dyno getting put to the test. The Keeper drive train exhibit. The Kowalski project. Vassili's GF car. Customer rides. A steady stream of legendary muscle cars bringing people together. Happy New Year 2019 !
Honestly this has been the only video in my entire life that actually made my stomach growl from pure Hunger Envy. Amazing sights Nick and Family. Keep up the Incredible passion and Work!!
Awesome progress on the Kowalski Challenger Nick, your dedication to using only genuine MoPar original parts will go a long way in the build. May you all have a Happy New year and keep these fantastic episodes coming.. ps, what a great party feast you did for your great friends and loyal customers 👍🏼 All the best from Melbourne, Australia 🍾🍾🍻🍻
That GTO is one of the prettiest cars from the mid 60's. And my God the work Stephan does on those parts! That Ford is a beast making that much power on 94 octane! Happy New Year to Nick and the entire team at the garage!
Nick does it his own way , because it's the right and only way . Like the say goes, if you want something done right you just have too do it yourself. Happy new years all 👍👍🎉🎉
Great food.....good friends.....AOK party!! Happy New Year to Nick and all the guys(gals) from Kansas! Loved the big Ford for a change of pace winding out on the dyno! See that you got "the Kid" runnin' the dyno.....gotta love it! See you all on the flip side.
I am a retired Army Vet, and i sure miss the xmas parties Thanksgiving parties and most of all the people i worked with. For the most part everyone was and are good people and then there were a few that didnt give a damn about the employees, just making that almighty buck, and of couse i didnt last long there. Nick you are 1 of the good guys you really know how to treat your friends, family and employees. God bless, i hope you and yours have a wonderful 2019 xmas and a better 2020 new year
What a way to start the new year after breakfast down under in New Zealand but to watch another awesome episode of Nick's garage and what's more Nick can honestly say 'I did it my way' That Ford sounds rather nice too! Happy new year Nick, staff and all the viewers from down under.
Thanks for all of your wonderful videos, Nick and gang! Happy New Year from St. Louis, Missouri (middle USA to the foreign viewers). See you next year!! :-)
Great party! It was like I was there, thanks Nick! Happy New Year everybody! Wow! That Ford mill really lays down the numbers, very impressive. Also, I was excited to see OA-5599 on Kowalski... Nice touch! Nick, not only are you a great boss, you're a loyal and sentimental friend as well. Best regards! Alex G
Built a couple myself.....the weak spot is the exhaust port.....to put 429's between shock towers on Mustangs, etc. they had the exhausts turning back on themselves. The SCJ and CJ heads were better but not good. Best is an aftermarket aluminum head with modern port arrangements and heart-shaped combustion chambers. Then....that short-stroke motor can breathe....or, better yet, throw in a stroker crank, too. Then.....big carb and let 'em eat!! Keep the Faith, Tom
@@docbhowe I'll be darned....you are correct! I wonder what kind of a bore/stroke would get to that amount of cubes. I only built one 351 and it was very stock except for mild porting and cam. Again, thanks!
@@tomnekuda3818 most of the the SBF strokers like that have a 4.15 bore 4.25 stroke or something close to that. I think that block is capable of 4.25 stroke itself so the can reverse the combo as well.
@@docbhowe Sounds about right from my calculations......I don't know if stock block will take that as I don't have dimensions at my fingertips. He said is was aftermarket so I imagine more thickness in walls. He also has aluminum heads which should flow well, maybe with a bit of touch-up. Boss 302 used Cleveland heads and had good flow. Can't believe that motor can use a Dominator carb .....must really flow nicely. I'm rambling....sorry. Thanks....really interesting.
I just bought that movie Vanishing Point that your "DREAM CAR" the "Kowalski" was in...... never viewed it before. I hope you have a GREAT New Year. GBYAY.......
I'm a devoted Dodge/Mopar Lover, but enjoy all classic/ muscle cars. I really enjoy and appreciate your channel and videos, Thank You Nick and all at Indy Auto.
Videos like this make me long for my days when I was machining engine blocks & components @ Andy Mannarino's Total Automotive in Detroit Mi. Did a lot of dyno work there, & I miss that.
Happy New Year to Nick and All of the employees at the garage. May you all have a even more prosperous year to come. Loved the party and the Food oh the food you had made my mouth water!
I showed up for the free buffet. When’s lunch? Happy healthy and prosperous new year to ALL of Nicks wizards And viewers. Hey,These Canadian cigarettes sure work up an good appetite. This Buds for me. Let me get that last slice of pizza and a few more pastries. Where’s the coffee?
You guys sure eat good up there - good crowd of people too...l'm hungry now...I'd put that motor in a 64 Galaxy (great chassis under that car) but then it wouldn't be good for 1 thing - breaking the law... Happy New Year Nick's Garage
Happy New Years Nick and crew and family, that party looks better than Times Square, rather be there, plus the 94 Octane Happy Healthy one guys, God Bless, thanks for having us at your party
Happy New Year and best wishes for a very prosperous 2019 for Nick and his crew! Thank you for everyone who brings this Nick's channel to the world to watch! Salute'!

The attention to detail Stephane put into the parts restoration is incredible
I loved seeing the Ford on the dyno!!! Happy New Year!!!
660 HP naturally aspirated is Great! That Ford motor is a beast for sure. And he could even do more tunning.
shartne. Replace the small intake and gain much more for sure.
Love how everyone comes together. That's how a job should be.
always enjoy watching NICK'S place

Happy and blessed new year to all your endeavors. Great show. Love watching pull though pulls.
Nick. Absolutely love your show. Would this motor fit a 2018 Ford Mustang and then blown by a whipple /edelbrock/Roush or something along those lines.
Nick you're one of the finest examples of a gear head I have ever seen you need the title of Doctor in front of your name. Love your work .😁
Just checked the cam specs. Serious lift and duration and a wicked idle! Nothing sounds better than a big block with a solid roller.
@Lumbee Warrior stock Windsor is 351 ci.......this is 468 ci......long way to go with a bore and stroke?
@Lumbee Warrior By George you're right, lol. I had to take a second look at the engine, and it is a small block windsor ! At first I thought it was a 429/460 block.
Im not a ford guy but the first look at the valve covers I knew it was a small block
We've bored those Dart blocks out as far as 4.185" We have two projects on the go in the shop right now.
They don't make em like Nick anymore. He's a really good dude.
I love seeing those dyno pulls and tuning.
Have a blessed year to you and your family from down here in Texas

Alex G Thank you.
To work at this place would be a dream job!! Reminds me of where I did my apprenticeship. I would move from Australia to work here!
Now that's what I'm talking about BBF power. Always a 460 lover. I've built at least 3 and all of them were beasts!
