Love the new timer you use. I watch you in my 55” TV, it’s great for seeing the smallest of movements. Love all your videos, I’ve learnt a lot. I’ve just ordered my first professional pick. I used mad bob. I’m going through your all your old videos. Going out to buy some padlocks today lol. Thank you so much for these videos.
Ian Watson Damn! I never thought of using my projector for this! That's a genious idea! I'm gonna try that later... Why the hell didn't I think of that before... *facepalm*
It's just shrink wrap over the lock, the kind designed for high gage wire. The link between the balls in chamber 4 must have come off they used to be part of a dog tag chain. And I was trying to round out 2 and 4 to get the balls to snag but didn't have the right tools.
Grayson Wimmer 13:57 Yeah, you can see the holes for the connecting wire. Looks like it snapped under tension... Too bad, but still a pretty awesome lock! And a great prize! ;-)
Odious Ktenology Dude, people wrap keys up tight all the time, calm your tits. this wasn't that bad. Worse when people use electrical tape and shrink wrap together, gluing it all.
Bill, every evening before I go to sleep I catch up on my yt subscriptions. My wife just asked if I was watching "Latvian Larry". I laughed so hard i honestly thought I'd shat the bed. Regards, English Steve.
Wives...hummph. Still, remember that they're ALWAYS right. Please give me some time to change all the website logos, trademarks, and artwork. LockLab, with Latvian Larry! Latvian Larry's LockLab - TRIPLE L. I like the sound of that.
Great pinning !!! The locklab is working , the locksport community is actually paying attention and using the knowledge to make locks. Nice pickin' Bill
I'm from Baltimore and haven't lived for for several years now. I clicked on the video right away just to hear you talk about Baltimore and the cookies!
Bill, I've come across quite a few new locks that have what appear to be driver pins used as key pins lately. Kwikset & similar quality locks seem to use "key pins" with a slightly deeper bevel than their driver pins. I believe that is why all the bottom pins look like modified drivers.
Take the clip remover tool and file down the tip to make the gap between the tip and the notch just a little smaller then it will work great. Did it to the same one and it works.
I clicked on the video expecting you to pick a lock made from a cookie. Needless to say I was disappointing, I thought it was going to be picked with a glass of milk. I guess that's how the cookie crumbles. :)
I'm not sharing, sorry. Too late anyway. I tossed those babies down like a seal gulping down a fish. Now I have to go run about 10 miles to work'em off...☹
Nice looking work, and good ideas Grayson. Saw in the other comments that the link holding the dog chain balls together must have fallen out, tough break there, but keep trying, excellent work! Bill, I thought FOR SURE those cookies were going to be a special giveaway this week! :-) Thanks for the video!
Bosnianbill thanks bill. You have been a big help. I was using a 6/32 tap i think its to small because it didnt make much of a difference. But i love this stuff so ill get it right
lifelessdead89 that's what I use for standard locks as well. I use a 4/40 for American locks and other padlocks. Keep in mind that for threading to be effective the edge of the spool or serration has to be thin enough to drop into the threads at some point instead of just riding over them.
Phred Phlintstoner oh ok cool. Yea ill watch out for that. I've made like 5 spools that i wanna try out, ill check the edges like you said before i put them in. Thanks for the help
I don't know what it is with your last videos, but there always seems to be a little screeching on the audio. Not all the time, just enough to be annoying. While I'm typing this... for an example... when you say "another nice long steel spring" @ 12:50 there's these two audio anomalies. (clipping? compression artifacts? alien communication channel?) Either Way another sweet lockpicking video !
I don't get how he always gets all kind of sweets and isn't afraid that some mad man out there will send him something poisoned or laced with something...
Imagine the scenario: Bill: "Doc, would you please come and extract this errant explosive device from my (insert your choice of body part)?" Doc: "I make you a gift of one of my favorite scalpels and wish you luck."
3s a trap pin,..??can you explan a lil more about trap pin's.??I'm very interested in your picking..i like the way you don't make a big thing out of it..im going to start watching you more..thank you for share'ing..be safe, and not sorry.
The ultimate question is: What would Bill have done if he had not been able to pick the lock? Would he have set them to the side, until he could pick it? Would he have returned them(postage due, of course) Would he have erased 18 minutes of the tape (Watergate reference for you young ones)
Can't wait for the review on your x-ray machine (the one you use to study the keys before you pick the lock), because either your cheating or ... probably cheating, nobody is that good

Thanks for letting me know that it is working out and displays well. I hardly ever get feedback like this and really appreciate it.😀

It's the first lock I've ever made man give me a break

Vishtu - Great lock dude, looked like BB had fun with it. I certainly enjoyed watching.👍

Best picking channel out there. I am gonna go and buy every lock in town.
Why do they shrink wrap the keys? Where can I learn more about this hobby?
To hide the bitting "secrets". Check out some lock picking channels. Visit the LockLab.com website for free lock picking lessons. That's it.

Nice lock!!! Great pins!! Great challenge! Well done on the lock and the pick!!
Thank you!
Ahh yes, I’m local to Baltimore as well. Those cookies are hand dipped and are very rich. Awesome vid!
Nice lock, Grayson!!!
looks like you were hurrying through the lock to get to the cookies. i don't blame you.
I clicked on the video expecting you to pick a lock made from a cookie.
Needless to say I was disappointing, I thought it was going to be picked with a glass of milk.
I guess that's how the cookie crumbles. :)
say your sorry...lol
I need to find those cookies to give them a try now! Great motivation.
sound's like a crumy idea...
Ref (76) Ace 54543 50 mm lock (Brass body)
Is there some way to remove the core on this lock?
East coast Maryland native here, what a prize!!!
I'm not sharing, sorry. Too late anyway. I tossed those babies down like a seal gulping down a fish. Now I have to go run about 10 miles to work'em off...☹
Angela Sterner hell yea. I was born in Baltimore. Now im in Montgomery county
lifelessdead89 I was born in Baltimore too!! We moved to Worcester when I was little

bradw 053 oh I have several evil ideas cooking right now. I'm going to get one of those paclocks one day.
Are Key pins harder to pick if they are flatter instead of pointed? Thanks
Not necessarily harder, just unexpected if they are mixed in a lock with normal keypins.
What is this counter-rotation he refers to?
Pozdrav bile
Zelio bi da jednom imam svo to znanje o bravama. Da li bi mi mogao prodati neke od brava koje ne koristis da se mogu uciti na necemu.
Does a threading cylinder affect standard pins or just security pins? And enjoy the berger cookies, i live in Maryland and always get me some of them
Threading really doesn't affect standard pins very much, just sharp-edged pins like spools and serrated pins.

How did you know where the trap pin was? Great vid.
It looked like there was a decent bit of an undercut on 2 and 4. I think that your probe was not grabbing because the tip of your probe is bent.
That last pin is, I believe, a CF-pin. A so-called Cluster ****** pin. ;-)
Michael Berthelsen - Good one! 🤣😂

You hit the point: " just enough to be annoying"
I find this screeching / noise very prominent in this video.
funny though, how noone else seems to be hearing it..
No stay safe, stay legal? Does this mean we can go all out take risks and do illegal shit until your next video GuruBill???
E clips = bills hardest challenges . Great video like always !
Nice morning pick with my coffee. life is good.
Thought you were going to slice your fingertips with that scalpel but awesome bitting
After watching the opening, I really hope we also get a review of those cookies... Those things look delicious...!
BosnianBill aka cookie monster. Lol. Grrreat pickin' my friend
I don't get how he always gets all kind of sweets and isn't afraid that some mad man out there will send him something poisoned or laced with something...
madblank yeah I know right ! Lol all retired EOD guys are weird lol seems they like chocolate lol
Is self surgery typical for EOD guy's?😨 Nice weird lock, it done pretty well, very ballzy of him! 😁🍺
Imagine the scenario:
Bill: "Doc, would you please come and extract this errant explosive device from my (insert your choice of body part)?"
Doc: "I make you a gift of one of my favorite scalpels and wish you luck."
Yeah, its part of the training... 😋
Pozz from Croatia Love you videos...
i'll never lay my cookies down again,when there's stranger's around.mmm..

I know, I know...:(
3s a trap pin,..??can you explan a lil more about trap pin's.??I'm very interested in your picking..i like the way you don't make a big thing out of it..im going to start watching you more..thank you for share'ing..be safe, and not sorry.
Nice pick Mr.Bill, I believe you're right, it would of been harder if the two balls were linked. Nice pinned to.📌🔓
Linked balls is always a good thing, right?
U should do another lock humor video
The ultimate question is: What would Bill have done if he had not been able to pick the lock? Would he have set them to the side, until he could pick it? Would he have returned them(postage due, of course) Would he have erased 18 minutes of the tape (Watergate reference for you young ones)
I would have:
1. Eaten the cookies.
2. Deleted the video.
3. Threw the lock into the naughty bucket for eternity.
Pickle Stick!
did I miss the: "stay safe, stay legal"?? :o
iWhacko, I wonder how many of his viewers will be in the clinker tomorrow?
COOKIES!!!
