The least you could do is use your iPhone or Android as a mic. The audio quality is so low it sounds like you're mumbling. Loved the ideas though. Something else you forgot to mention is MSP/ MSSP's pay for General Liability and Property as well as Errors and Omissions that includes cyber liability. Employees are not paying for this coverage so yes huge benefit to the client.

What do I do now that people are no longer in their office? How would this strategy be different?

That's a good question. In many ways the need for managed IT is greater since people are dealing with computers at home and need remote assistance anyways. You may want to consider a slightly different message.

Since it's been a few years, do you have any metrics on the Bonus Strategy?

There are a lot of ways to approach a face to face meeting. I would come with a printed coupon/magnet that says: One week free of IT service. I would then hand it out and let them know that you're ready for any emergency they may come across.

Bait and switch service selling by applying to jobs is one of the trashiest things I have seen in the IT market. Only bottom of the barrel clients would entertain your services after that. The ability to close those "opportunities" must be insurmountable. You're only selling to organizations that have already made the strategic decision to hire vs outsource, they've already established personnel / payroll budgets, and the hiring manager isn't a decision maker for vendor procurement. What a waste of everyone's time.

You're right. We never want to bait and switch. It needs to be clear what you're doing from the beginning. This option is not designed to be bait and switch but rather helping them take into consideration an option they can use until they find someone or as a test to evaluate an option they may not have considered. The job application will always clearly state your objective because anything else will waste your time.
