I'd say this is more reasonable for C$220 depending on how good the meter is: TOOLTOP ET13S 192*192 Thermal Imager 9999 Counts Multimeter 2in1 Thermal Camera You need more resolution than 32x32 to check for overheated components on circuit boards. Interesting combo.
Basic IR-camera with major flaws. By comparison: Maybe is the "T7" (from the same manufacturer, working together with an Android- smartphone) a significant better choice. Same pricepoint, higher resolution, storage of pictures in the phone, wider temperature range (-15°C~600°C), visible colour graded temperature scale and automatic hottest spot detection.
@rcarioca Honestly, I usually don't offload if I'm doing Thermal work for myself. I take my readings and see if there's a problem or issue that needs to be addressed. It's not meant for professionals but that's fairly obvious 😊
According to the manual, "can be connected with a computer to delete images on the computer." If this is true, wouldn't you be able to download them too? Says it has 16MB storage capacity. Wonder if it deletes the oldest, or gives a memory full error.
Didn't work..device doesn't appear as a DCIM or anything. Manual it shipped with states to factory reset to del images. Might be various incarnations or FW revisions. I'm awaiting on feedback from the vendor .
A good step above a infrared thermometer for not much more. 🌡+ 📺+ 📷 but no 🎥. Hook the unit up to your PC with a micro USB data cable and see if you can browse the device memory.
Yup..tried to no avail. Biggest faux pax was having to factory restore to del the images saved on the camera.Seems drastic approach to a very basic task.
Perhaps recently things got a bit cheaper. Searching for cheap higher resolution I recently bought the Mastfuyi FY12 for a similar price. It boasts 240x240 resolution and first testing showed much more details than the Tooltop in this video. It also has fairly simple features; e.g. static images only that however can be removed easily. It does have USB data interface for downloading BMP images (functioning as a fairly large but maybe a bit slow 3,75GB USB drive) .

I would say..stay tubed 😅 👍
Any despite its limitations..good review
Hi, it would be interesting to see if ET692C version with 256x192 resolution could be used for locating short circuits on laptop motherboards.
Thx..it certainly could. I'll see if I can get a 692C to review at some point.

Definitely food for thought.
I have a special review coming out in a week from same manufacturer that looks very promising 👌 stay tubed!
Just purchased this item. Have you ever used this to defect shorts on electronic components?
Yes, but it's not ideal for pcb work because it has low resolution.
How did you find working with it on pcb? I don't see how resolution should be an issue as you're only looking for hot spots mostly.
Still following, thank you.
Thank you too!
I think you described it perfectly. It looks like it's built nicely, but how useful can it be? 🤔
Good question! 👍 For basic thermal needs, it will suffice.
@@KeepOnTesting hi! Do you think it works to find water leaks in pipes inside the wall or under the floor? (sorry for my bad english)
Nice review. Major shortcomings of device.
Thanks! 👍 Yes, it's definitely not perfect.. But I think it can still be very helpful for the right user.
Purchase Link is broken
Fixed.

I guess you could say its one thing to make a technology work in basic form, but another to give it useable functionality
I think price is also a big factor , usable buy it has its limitations.
woooww ..😊
cannot store images ? Massive game breaker.
It stores images but only on the Thermal camera. 😅
KInd of useless if you cannot off load it from the camera

@@KeepOnTesting both turned on and turned off ??? 🥸Maybe while reviewing images?
A bit low res. for me but I'm sure it will meet someone's requirements and it is very cheap.
Spot on Shaun!
