They toned down a lot, even many “S” supports are far less romantic, while some make perfect sense why but some others not
So Framme wants to get vored by Alear 😳
And Anna's last support with Alear is also heavily changed since in JP, Alear mentions that they can just be friends since Anna is too young for anything else.

You know what’s even more hilarious than these crazy characters? The crazy voice actors who were 100% down to bring this madness to life. Fire Emblem voice actors are another species I swear.

My expectation was that Rosado was actually indulging in her role-play sparring, unlike Yunaka.
But really,their support chain should be about Merrin commissioning Rosado to draw a character sheet for her fursona.
Like you’d think they’d be over exaggerate int a fake sort of grudge for an epic sparring duel

Next to Awakening/Three Houses I think this is my favorite cast.
Diamant sprints up 3 mountains and then challenges someone to a duel! That’s more than a little strange.

Boucheron gets emotional while reading and Céline is very into tea, but I feel like those two are also relatively sane compared to most of the Engage cast

I do find it an interesting twist that Louis isn't actually a pervert character, but is genuinely intrigued by everything women do because he literally never had any women in his life, growing up.

@@IPromiseTomorrow I don't recall which support, but in one of them, Louis explains his behavior to another character as him having a fascination with people, and women in particular, because his mother died when he was very young, his father never remarried, and all of his siblings were brothers, so he never really had any women in his life growing up.

@@dracotias He actually did watch females in the japanese version. They changed it to "people" in everything else. It's why his personal skill involves 2 women together for the stat buffs.

Similar to how GoldMary was changed to talk about her "Elegance" and not her "body features" that the japanese uses. Lucina brigns is up about being envious about her figure in one support. She wasn't talking about Grace, but her chest since you know....Lucina is plank 2x4 compared to GoldMary. I hated GoldMary's vain attitude until I saw her A rank supports, she humbles herself a bit towards others.

It's fascinating how despite this diverse cast of personalities, they only come in two types: completely insane, or incredibly stupid, and I'm honestly having trouble telling which is which.
They're all both. Both crazy and stupid.
And Alear has to deal with it daily even a the divine dragon can only deal with so much stupidity and insanity.

Alear, Diamant and Jean are probably the most sane out of the bunch.
The last one is the most concerning given that a child is more sane than most of the adults.

my only complaint with Lapis is that they didn't make her a Gregor style pseudo-Russian. With how much she wrestles bears, it would have fit.

Loving these videos! I'm playing thru my 2nd playthrough of the game and in English this time and they really knocked it out of the park. The voice acting was top notch and having the mouth sync up for both dubs is awesome.

It's called "out of context", but no. Some of those supports are the full context.
Most of these are better without context because with it, they're awful.
“Engage took FE back to its roots” only to the roots of the fates department. Which is a major mistake.
The characters are way better than Fates. They're actually memorable unlike 90% of Hoshido's writing and they aren't too bad in their overall supports unlike Camilla and Peri.
