Now that Cricut Design Space has offset feature, would it be easiest to start with the inner box, then make the next sized larger with an offset, and then do an offset OF that offset (lol) for your outer layer? (Rather than stretching/shrinking the box shape which makes it have a large border at the top and narrow at the sides) Then they will fit together better and have even margins? In my head this works, but I haven't tried it yet lol!
I just totally wanted to thank you for actually doing the tutorial and not talking about 749274 different things for 20 minutes! Love it.
Exactly! Straight to the point
Thank you for sharing. I've always wanted to make one but was afraid I would screw it up.
Thank you for all the details.
Ok quick, easy, and detailed tutorial. Love it thanks for sharing.
Make 2 rectangles, turn 1, center and weld? Attach score lines.
I was thinking the same thing. But I'll try both ways to see which one works for me
This was super helpful. Thank you so much!
Thank goodness I found you did a video for this. Your videos are simply the best, hands down.

Yes with the new offset feature it does make this a lot easier to do
What weight(s) card stock do you recommend for the layers for a basic photograph explosion box? I'm a newbie. Loved your tutorial!
Lynette Jensen Curtis this is 65 lb and 85 lb
Hi I was wondering if I could purchase 1 layer boxes from you. I don't have a cricket and it's going to take me forever to cut these out 🤷🏻♀️
I'm sorry I don't sell and ship items.
How would you make an inner box that doesn't open so you could put some treats inside it?
Easiest way would be just tape or glue the inner box together
Awesome tutorial!
Did I miss the size of the first cross?
Yeabeauty 17.... it’s whatever’s paper size you have, but remember the mat is only 12x12.
How big is your box in inches???? I found a tutorial on Pinterest that wasn’t on my cricut and it’s super smaller then I wanted
Hannah Stegeman its a little over 3 inches on each side
Damn. The one I made isn’t much bigger then that.
