@@mathimalar.a1024 no it's more of a very thick paper. I think high quality chart paper should work. Just maybe you can experiment with the outer covering of notebooks.
If I keep the pop up cubes in the box for like a whole week will the cube strings stretch out and then not pop up anymore? Should I keep them in cube form until right before I give it to someone?
Which rubber band should we use so that the paper shouldn't tear out ? Because I tried everything was nice but the paper torned when I tried to stick the paper .

Yes pack the cube just before u give it to someone
Fauzia Momin actually ended up testing it out and it’s much better to keep them in cube form till just before giving it to someone pops much better
