The way Abe took out two rushers on that stunt play. That was awesome. He saw the guy coming around the end, switched to the inside backer coming around and used his momentum to put him right into that outer edge/corner and mashed both of them. That was super underappreciated.
He hasnt been healthy at all either this season. Hes a bust. Seattle gotta get rid of him, Barner already looks better than Pharoah Brown AND Noah Fant combined. Better blocker, faster, better hands.
Always been a pass catching TE, so understandable why he sucks at blocking. Like Jimmy Graham was when he got to the Hawks. Our team has always been where those types of TEs come and are rarely utilized.
Fant is the best TE we have and when healthy, he's a weapon in the pass game. Run blocking isn't his game. Will Dissly is actually playing well for the Bolts. Not sure why TEs don't thrive more in Seattle. Been like that for decades.
Fant is 250 lbs runs a 4.5 40 and we felt we needed to pay him $11 million a year. With blocking like this normal. I would have kept Dizly and Perkinson added Barner in the draft. We pay less get better blocking and more yards receiving. Schneider wiffed on this one. It happens. Just imagine how much better we would run the ball.
Fant is one of the better receiving TEs in the league. We just don't see a lot of guys like Gronk and Kittle anymore. Just the way the league is going.
Did you guys notice charb looked like a slightly different back against the jets in the few carries he had. Maybe the o line is the only difference but he looked more explosive, he looked like 20 pounds lighter the way he was accelerating.
I didn't get to watch this game, but saw his PFF numbers were in the toilet, so I'm very thankful for your analysis and that you think he was a steal! This is good news!
Really glad to see that second rep, gameday you see that as a fan and complain about the OL again "no holes" etc but in reality it was 87 whiffing that killed it. If he even slows the guy down a step K9 get positive yards maybe not 5+ but at least positive. Appreciate the content.
I like his mobility hes pretty quick for a 320lber, he's got quick feet keeps em chopping to not get rolled up on too. You can tell hes very coachable.
Coming out i knew he was a steal in the 6th , hated Haynes pick not so much cause of Haynes but that they moved Laumea to left side training camp. Glad he back on the right Maybe haynes practices left. This dude legit. Was an all state wrestler, great hands( needs maintain after initial punch , but great hands) Will admit for as high as i was on Laumea pick , i hated the knight pick, and even the first few games, i was sure he was a reach pick. Man, i love being wrong and made a fool in this case
He graded poorly because he was listed as a OT in college. He has to short of arms for an NFL OT. It why he lasted so long in the draft. It wasn't a good OT prospect because of his short arms for an OT. But as a guard he would have tested much higher. His guard grade would have been a 3rd grade.
Haynes a second round pick and Bradford a 4th round pick and the 6th rounder is starting. Haynes really hasn't had a shot but if Lamea is doing work, let him rock. Maybe Haynes can take Tomlinson's spot sooner than later.
Bradford had like 36 reps of the bench press they were worried the rookies didn't have enough power to handle NFL D linemen. Laumea had 26 reps in the combine I wonder if his strength has improved.
Ray Roberts talks about Bradford all the time. The guy has the strength, he doesn't finish. If he can learn he could be good. I'm happy for Laumea and hope Haynes gets Tomlinson's spot soon.
I loved this guy coming out of Utah and watched him start there 4 years straight... UTAH lineman are always coached up... Hes the best Pulling guard on the roster 😤 because if his feet and balance from Wrestling... Haynes will be okay but the problem is Haynes and Bradford arent great at pulling and Laken is immobile!!!
I think with the looping rusher play you could argue Olu was also at fault. They committed 3 linemen to one rusher on the left side. If Olu realized they were dropping that right edge rusher and kept his head on a swivel then he could have closed up some of that gap. The two of them really should only be committing 1 arm to those d linemen to stay free for that gap. Either way, good play by the jets.
The interior oline is developing for sure. Tight end blocking is killing the run game. Fant, Barner, et al, are wiffing way too much. We're so close to cracking into a respectable run game.
The line sucked on multiple short run scenarios, they couldn’t get off the ball for short gain to get a TD on one occasion. They need more explosive blocks on the short game.
Ngl Jerrell, Laumea, and Haynes are ALL going to develop into great players. Too bad none of them can play center! Get us a LG and an elite Center and a new young QB, we will be lit..
Barner is NOT a good blocker. He doesn't DRIVE people with his legs. He holds the jersey ar the shoulder pads and lightly pushes. What happened to Christian Haynes? I thought he was supposed to be tough! Looks like a bust. I was concerned because he was 24 yo. Why draft a man playing against boys in college? Risky and i guess i was correct for once. Tomlinson is horrendous amd Cross has regressed for some reason. Why can't we field a tough OL. It's been since Holmgren ran the show with Jones, Hutch, Tobeck, Gray and Locklear. Almost 20 years!! 😢
@@mranderson2278 Lynch didn't have a great line at all. Max Unger was a great center but Marshawn just went beastmode all the time. That was a below avg OL per PFF but their quality is questionable. Go Hawks!!
Barner was the best blocking TE in the draft and was a 4th rd. Pick and is out playing Brown... a Veteran Haynes played at Connecticut... thats a decent Conference... and his workouts must've 💪 been okay because EVERYONE had him as the 2nd guard... give him a little time...
@starvinq6174 I think he needs to get that NFL Strength. He just isn't there yet. He has the ability and decent strength. He was one of the best blockers at the senior bowl. Sometimes it takes o lineman a couple years. Tomlinson is so slow at this point in his career.
I'm so excited for him and Olu to be working together. I have been complaining about them not playing. Great video
A Seahawks guard? Actually making their blocks? I could cry 😢
Let’s cry 😿 together
It’s beautiful 😭
😂
Wahhhhh
He played really bad though...
The way Abe took out two rushers on that stunt play. That was awesome. He saw the guy coming around the end, switched to the inside backer coming around and used his momentum to put him right into that outer edge/corner and mashed both of them. That was super underappreciated.
Abe and Laumea look tough and gritty together on the right side of the line! Excited to see their growth together!
87 Fant is a terrible blocker
Yea he's definitely more of a "move" or flex/receiving TE.
He isn't a good blocker when he is healthy. And he isn't healthy. But he is the fastest TE we have, and runs good routes.
Fant is the best TE we have and when healthy, he's a weapon in the pass game. Run blocking isn't his game.
Will Dissly is actually playing well for the Bolts. Not sure why TEs don't thrive more in Seattle. Been like that for decades.
12:50 AJ Barner is a great blocker. he's gonna be a good one.
A diamond in the rough he gon shine regardless though
I noticed that myself, time to send Fant down the road

@@andrewcarlson2178dissly killing it on the chargers
@@juneyoon4432you mean he's actually staying healthy? That's a miracle.

He definitely was running differently than he usually does. It's like he was actually waiting for the hole to open in the O line the way K9 does
And if K9 IS out this week - I'm less worried with Charbonnet being the next man up
I didn't get to watch this game, but saw his PFF numbers were in the toilet, so I'm very thankful for your analysis and that you think he was a steal! This is good news!
Could have been the 2 penalties as well. Once you get penalties your numbers got straight down.
He did have a few good reps , we can only hope he is the answer to that black hole at RG.
Yo yooooo, what's up 12s! 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Bro I love this channel already this is a great analysis on the play schemes. Brilliant work fellas 🎉 7:00

Are we surprised though? My guy got the Samoan power!!!
That second place had Fant no missed his block completely there would have been a huge hole. It shows one guy messing up can blow a whole play up.

Nah lowky they nasty with it. reading those pickups aren’t easy and what lucas did taking out 2 rushers by himself was crazy 7:31
Long run by Walker at 10:03, they called a hold on Lucas and Laumea. such a joke.
That's because Lucas held him. We'd be bitching up a storm if that were Williams and it went uncalled
Yeah from this angle, that sure didn't look like a hold.
Great content guys keep up the great work 👍
And Abe Lucas using Jets rushers to chip their own guys
Mwah 🤌
Yeah that was a thing of beauty.
Love your film study. Makes it easy to learn and follow along. 👏🏻👏🏻💙💚

Haynes was a 3rd round pick. Olu showing promise - hopefully, like Olu, Haynes just needs time to acclimate to the pro game.
@@Hondo480 that's right, he slipped to the 3rd, was projected as a second. Our second pick.
On the second play, was that Fant that missed his block? If he can’t do better he needs to go. The guy he missed made the tackle for zero yards🙄
Yeah it was.
Great vid and analysis!

Olu is killing it too.
bro PFF has him as the worst guard…. like mid 30 grades! i didn’t know that’s possible?

AJ Barner 😮
Yep
