In the Rams first pre-season game this year against the Chargers, Speights laid a hit on the Chargers kickoff return man and just lit him up. It was one of those "Oooohhhh" type hits. That put Speights on Rams fans radars. As we watched him more and more during the pre-season, it became obvious this kid was a future starter which may have been the driving force of the Rams trading Ernest Jones. As the season progressed, Speights has too to where he is today, no longer an unknown risk but someone we can trust and rely on on the starting defensive unit.
You right he was a reason why they traded Jones. I kinda wish we didn't would of been nice seeing him next to Jones. But since he became a starter rozebom has started playing better next to him rather than reeder
Liked him at Oregon State a lot. Loved him at LSU. When I saw our UDFA signings after the draft, I told myself he was our best one we signed. Glad to see him getting an opportunity!
I like this vibe bro. V8 and King Pin obviously becoming famous, but ngl I didn't really pay much attention to Spreights. Now that your mentioning him and pointing out how he is placing himself well. Really shows me how important the small names are as well. He reminds me of Robinson and Atwell. They are not as popular as Puka or Kooper, but they are just as valuable cuz they put themselves in positions that really helps out the team. Im glad you are showing light to the ones who don't shine as bright, but still contribute as much.
Omar has good vision and anticipation about where the ball is going. Watched him in the preseason do this. I hope he grows and becomes a house hold name in this franchise.
got one of the worst PFF grades against the Bills and Eagles. Decent on short yardage situations, plays like a rookie in coverage. Convenient you don't show him in zone. 1 down player at the moment on any team with decent LBs. Rams have terrible ILBs, so anything may look better than alternatives.
He misses way too many tackles and has very little containment skills. Rams already send Verse and Young in on full attack mode without any form of disguise. It puts a lot of pressure on Speights and the DBs to contain the run and an active QB. He is not a good enough LB to succeed at that.
@@Istompcasuals4fun Most average lbs know what josh allen can do, omar has been pretty poor with taking angles and his tackling, mediocre lb play but hes young he may improve.

Appreciate your quality breakdowns that educate us with different insights from mainstream
If only they kept earnest jones as well
EAGLES GAME HE WAS ON HIS BACK ALL DAY.
He wasn't drafted. He was a UDFA
Read and speed on that last one. Good segment .
14:04 jared verse punks the o lineman for no reason 😂

The Rams need to get a partner in crime to team with Omar🤔
He hits like he's 245lbs.

So freaking rewinding so much and let the dang video play.
You guys need to let the plays run out instead of reversing it it’s annoying
he didn't look that good against the eagles and he couldn't tackle josh allen . He is better than reeder but that doesn't say much
You say that has if any other mlb looks good vs Josh Allen or the eagles lol

He’s a Rookie not a all pro lb he getting better every game
@pulesatui3804 yeah he's gonna get better every game. Not only is he a rookie, he's a UDFA
