We took it from the original air assisted accordion door and made it one solid piece so that it would open outward. We then added a lockset that bolts through the metal bus wall. Also my parents toured the bus!

Locking from the inside, you could use a latch and hook method to keep the air lock and bending door still functional. But to lock from the outside, what you did works perfectly!

Great video. What thickness steel did you use for the plates that stop it from folding? We are looking to do the same for our door on our bus.

The door doesn't open all the way. How do you feel about that. If you changed it, what episode can I watch? Really struggling with it today.

The door not opening all the way was a little annoying at the time and there is a part in the air door compartment that would free it that I simply could not get off given it's position but gratefully over time the door actually started opening more and more and now it goes to 90 degrees if not a little wider.

Don’t bus doors lock automatically? Also I’m pretty sure some time soon your parents are either going to get their own bus or rob of with yours, aha!
