Fully agree, have the OneStep 2 VF Stranger Things edition, the OneStep+ and also the Now+. The OneStep+ is a good choice. There used to be a filter set that can be used with the OneStep 2 VF and OneStep+. Some online shops still sell the filter set. Like with other cameras, the latest and greatest is not always the bast…

I wish I had seen this video few years ago when the stepone+ was still available. I've been looking for an opportunity to get one for quite some time. It's hard to find in the first place and on the couple occasions that I have found it the price was very inflated. I'm also not from the US so that complicates things further 😢 But great video. Hi Chris, for me you are the Goodfather of Polaroid. I have both Cameras as well, and therefore i can say all you have talk about it is truth. I have spend lot of Euros for Films and testing both typs. The results are even the same. For now i use one of my SX 70 Models or even the One Step + . Thanks for the Video and greetings from Germany.
Interesting about the phone saving settings. I have the OmeStep+, and it was my understanding that you have to use the shutter button in the app to shoot manual, as using the camera button would override the manual settings.
I have been seeing people confused about this, me included. In my experience if your phone is open and on in the app and make setting changes you must push the button on your phone HOWEVER if you turn your phone screen off and the Bluetooth button is still on, on the camera it will save the settings so you can use the button on the camera.
I wish I saw this video before I bought the OneStep+ Gen 2, but now the OneStep+ is now $200, which was $50 more than the OneStep+ and is more than my budget
Just bought a onestep plus and now I'm watching more videos to justify my decision lol, I was going to get a Now but I needed a tripod mount. What is the point of a timer on a camera without a tripod?? So then I checked out the Now plus but this video and others talked about the overexposure problem and it got me a bit worried, so I started researching and I was going to actually grab a OneStep 2 but there was a plus for the same price on Ebay so I got that. I'm excited! I've got a Fuji Instax Mini 11 that I really enjoy, and was going to grab a sq1 instax camera, but I wanted to try the wholly other different format! Still new to instant photography but I'm looking forward to cannonballing in after dipping my toes with the Instax mini 😅
Okey, I’ve commented a lot recently with questions, sorry about that lol. But I have come up with two cameras. The Polaroid OneStep+ or the Instax Square SQ1. It’s my first camera and I would be really happy to get you’re opinion one this🙏🏼 Keep it up!
Hey Chris, great video, love your content. Some food for thought in the comparison between the one step plus and the now plus… the one step plus was created by the impossible project guys, hence why that camera is practically the successor to the impossible project i-one camera. Using the same Bluetooth technology, app functionality and built in rechargeable battery. However after the impossible project was rebranded the Polaroid originals, they rolled out the one step 2, and then the one step plus, later the Polaroid lab… fast forward until Polaroid and Polaroid originals merge and become one brand again, now known as Polaroid, they release the Polaroid now. Very basic, didn’t feature a tripod mount, fiddly controls for the double exposure and exposure compensation, etc. following the trend, they then release the now plus, basically the now with the Bluetooth functionality. Interesting pattern the company has taken, and even more interesting comparing the different types of moves each version has made. For example the impossible project with the i-one, Polaroid originals with the one step classic aesthetic for the camera body, and now Polaroid… to which I suppose are simply trying to keep the target audience in range, with the slightly more digital functionality and style (such as the screen for the exposure count)
Great review. Currently have the instax 11 but been wanting something with bluetooth. Stuck between instax mini evo vs Polaroid OneStep+ i‑Type Instant Camera vs Polaroid Now+ i‑Type Instant camera, not sure where to head. Which has the better picture quality, etc?
Comparing Instax and Polaroid is like comparing apples and oranges. It just comes down to preference. Instax are cheaper but don’t have a great camera selection ect.
