Love that sound 🥵
Very cool brake ducts you made, love that they were totally DIY cut and fabricated! Great job and so glad she's running strong again.
Also that thing continues to sound so incredible, must be such a rush to drive on track. Have fun!!
Never thought an american engine about as complex as a lawnmower could make sounds like that. Epic!
Thanks! It’s a pretty fast lawn mower too! 😝
Congrats to over 1.000 subscribers now. I like the editing at 8:50 ^_^
But I really want to thank you for putting me in contact with Greg. Talking to him has been a huge help for me in more ways than one.
Thanks. I was glad to be of help. Greg is a smart guy. As to my editing, I learned some great stuff from your editing style, so…thank you!
Good stuff and I like your approach to things!
Good work! Your car looks and sounds so good 👌
Thanks! It’s great to get back out with it for some track time. Cheers!
Glad to see ya back!
Thanks! I’ve been away too long! Cheers

Love the dash view. You have it dialed in nicely, for what it is. Body roll is manageable, and brake dive is nearly nonexistent.
Thanks? Still learning how to drive it. With the new horsepower, the rear feels like I need more tire! Cheers!
@trackdayclassics - I'm sure you have to feather it a lot more now. How's the torque curve? Can you still feel your way out of a turn, or is it too peaky?
Not peaky at all, I just need to be a better driver. Having said that, coming out of the “esses” at Watkins Glen and passing 100 mph, the rear felt like it needs a lot more tire! Got a bit loosey goosey if I pushed any harder. Now that things are more consistent, I really need to focus on my suspension set up. Scary but way fun!
I really enjoy your videos 👍🏻. Keep up the good work! How much longer until you have another ‘64 Comet video?
Thanks. I’m glad there is some interest in that build and people are asking for more videos. To be honest, I was hoping to have some body work done by now. Instead I’m wrapping up a video on the Comet’s engine: “Barn Find 289” and hope to have that up in a week or two. But my biggest excuse is I’m playing hooky by getting the Mustang out for track days! I promise I’ll get back to the Comet as soon as I can. Cheers and thanks for hanging in there!
Just put up E2, Barn Find 289. Enjoy.
Do you use an internal brake temperature monitor in the car?
Didn’t know there was one? Suggestions?
Very cool! I have a 65 fastback and would love to try this. Can you please send me your email so I can replicate it? Thank you and keep on doing what you love.
Thanks! I can be direct messsged @trackdayvic on Instagram. Cheers!
