well I went out and bought one of those chinese units(Lotos CT520D $650 delivered to my door) its a 200 amp tig, 200 amp stick and a 50 amp plasma cutter all in one unit and I love it..I use the plasma cutter and the tig (with auto start ) a lot. plus its runs on 110 or 220 automatically switchs to what ever you plug it into..
Good work Mr Bass, nice job redistributing those molecules after each weld session, not sure if you even emphasized the importance of that somewhere in the videos.
these build videos is what gave me the courage to modify my coupe. its not finished but I channeled it 4-5" chopped it 3' then cut the body in half and made it 5" wider. I still have to finish the door windows (make the door windows smaller to match the 1/4 windows height) check out my build videos here on utube search FrankenStude Too. i would love it if it turns out half as nice as the Wade Coupe..
I noticed you were having a hard time cutting the curve with the cutting wheel. Old guy I worked with in a body shop showed me to save my worn out wheels to get around small curves like that. ; )
That's some right Purdy metal finishin right there!! Body man is a dying art, panel installers is what it should be nowadays. Keep up the good work and hope you're passing it on!
my tig is a scratch start...thats why i use my mig...wish it was auto start ..you make it look so easy....great build great job
